A középső bronzkor idején (Kr. e. 2000-1500 között) az edényművességének jellegzetességéről elnevezett mészbetétes kerámia kultúrája élt a Dunántúl középső régiójában. E népcsoport tárgyi emlékanyagának monografikus összefoglalására vállalkozik a pályázat segítségével kiadandó kötet. Mivel az említett térség középső bronzkori népeiről a századelőn, illetve az 1970-es években íródott rész-összefoglalásokat követően nem született átfogó publikáció, a (PhD dolgozat keretében megvalósult) munka a mészbetétes kerámia kultúrája teljes emlékanyagának feldolgozását tűzte ki célul: a tárgyi kultúra gerincét képező kerámia- és fémtárgyak tipológiai összegzése mellett a népcsoport településein és temetkezési helyein napvilágra került adatokat is részletesen tárgyalja. Az így nyert információ a társ-tudományok (fizikai antropológia, archeometria, környezetrégészet) kutatási eredményeivel is kiegészítésre került. Mindezek révén a tárgyalt korszak feldolgozása alapot nyújt a 21. század régészete új (pl. társadalomrégészeti) kutatási kérdéseinek megválaszolására.
Summary
In the middle Bronze Age (2000-1500 BC) the Transdanubian Encrusted Pottery culture, that had its name after characteristic pottery, played a dominant role in the Central part of western Hungary. The proposal undertakes the monographic summary of the material finds of this group of people. Since overall publication of the Bronze Age population of the mentioned region was not came to light after the part-summeries of the 1900s and 1970s, the goal of my (PhD) work was to process the whole material of the Transdanubian Encrusted Pottery culture. Besides summing up the typology of pottery and metal artefacts as the the main group of finds, the information coming from settlements and cemeteries are also discussed. The archaeological data was completed by results of other disciplines (e.g. phisical anthropology, archaeometry, environmental archaeology). By means of these the procession of the mentioned time period wish to give basement for answering the new (e.g. social archaeological) research questions of archaeology in the beginning of the 21th century.

A publikációs pályázat támogatásával megjelent a Middle Bronze Age Encrusted Pottery in western Hungary c. kötet, az MTA BTK Régészeti Intézet Varia Archaeologica Hungarica sorozata 27. köteteként. A több korábbi OTKA támogatás (F 023581: fiatal kutatói, PU-50093: a kézirat angol fordítására), valamint (a kiadásra elnyert) jelen pályázat segítségével kiadott kötet a középső bronzkor idején (Kr. e. 2000-1500 között) a Dunántúlon élt, edényművességének jellegzetességéről elnevezett mészbetétes kerámia kultúrája tárgyi emlékanyagának monografikus összefoglalására vállalkozott. A publikált eredmények alapot nyújtanak a 21. század régészete új (pl. társadalomrégészeti) kutatási kérdéseinek megválaszolására.
A végleges terjedelem meghaladta a tervezettet, emiatt az eredeti tervben szereplő (költségesebb) néhány színes kép helyett is kizárólag fekete-fehér illusztrációk kerültek a kötetbe.
A kötetből köteles példányt kapott az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár (6 db-ot), a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Könyvtára, az ELTE BTK Régészettudományi Intézet Könyvtára, a Szegedi, Pécsi, Debreceni Tudományegyetem Központi Könyvtára, a Miskolci Egyetem Központi Könyvtára, a Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem Központi Könyvtára, valamint a Central European University Könyvtára.
A kiadóval kötött szerződésnek megfelelően a monográfia elektronikus változata két év múlva helyezhető el nyílt hozzáférésű repozitóriumban.

The Middle Bronze Age Encrusted Pottery in western Hungary monography was published as the 27th volume of Varia Archaeologica Hungarica, the book series of the Research Center for the Humanities, Institue of Archaeology, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The book was printed out with the finantial support of former (F 023581, PU-50093) and this HRF (OTKA) projects. The book collects the recent research of the Transdanubian Encrusted Pottery culture, that had its name after characteristic pottery and played a dominant role in the Central part of western Hungary during the Middle Bronze Age (2000-1500 BC). The results wish to give basement for answering new (e.g. social archaeological) research questions of archaeology in the beginning of the 21th century.
The extension of the monography became larger then proposed, that is why the final version of the publication contains full black and white illustrations (because of the larger cost of some planned coloured pictures). Volumes were sent to the National Széchényi Library (6 pieces), to the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, to the Library of the Institute of Archaeological Sciences, Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest), to the Central Libraries of Science Universities of Szeged, Pécs, Debrecen and Miskolc, to the Library of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and to the Library of the Central European University.
The monography can be available in open access repository after 24 month due to publisher contracting.
