Itt írja le a kutatás fő célkitűzéseit a témában jártas szakember számára.
A Jagelló Zsigmond lengyel herceg és udvartartásának mindennapjait dokumentáló, 1504-1507 között íródott számadáskönyv kiadásával egy sokrétűen és mind a hazai, mind a külföldi kutatók számára haszonnal forgatható primer forrás válik elérhetővé. Nemcsak azért fontos és érdeklődésre számot tartó ez a kötet, mert 100 év után végre kiegészülhet és teljessé válhat a Divéky Adorján munkájának (Zsigmond lengyel herczeg budai számadásai (1500-1502., 1505.)) eredményeként megjelent magyar vonatkozású anyag, hanem azért is, mert a herceg életében, valamint a lengyel és a litván nép története szempontjából sorsfordító események zajlanak, s követhetőek nyomon a forrás lapjain. A kiadványban a téma kutatását összefoglaló és a forrást ismertető bevezető magyar és angol nyelven olvasható, ezt követi a latin nyelvű (lengyel szavakat is tartalmazó) forrásszöveg, a kötet végén pedig a felhasználókat segítő név- és tárgymutató található (utóbbi szótárként is funkcionál a szövegben előforduló lengyel és ritkán használt latin szavak megértése érdekében). A kötetet kiegészítő mellékletként a számadáskönyv lapjairól készült felvételek láthatóak (eltérő kézírások szemléltetése, vízjelek) a mellékletben, valamint a hercegi udvar utazásait nyomon követő térkép.
Mi a kutatás alapkérdése?
Ebben a részben írja le röviden, hogy mi a kutatás segítségével megválaszolni kívánt probléma, mi a kutatás kiinduló hipotézise, milyen kérdéseket válaszolnak meg a kísérletek.
Mivel a pályázat célja egy kiadásra kész forrásközlés megjelentetésének anyagi finanszírozását előteremteni, így alapkérdésről a kutatás kapcsán nem beszélhetünk.
Mi a kutatás jelentősége?
Röviden írja le, milyen új perspektívát nyitnak az alapkutatásban az elért eredmények, milyen társadalmi hasznosíthatóságnak teremtik meg a tudományos alapját. Mutassa be, hogy a megpályázott kutatási területen lévő hazai és a nemzetközi versenytársaihoz képest melyek az egyediségei és erősségei a pályázatának!
Az elmúlt évtized során a számadáskönyvvel kapcsolatban folytatott kutatásaim eredményeként került sor a Varsói Állami Levéltárban őrzött forrás átírására, a magyar, cseh, lengyel és osztrák szakirodalom feldolgozása révén a bevezető tanulmány megírására, s mindezek az ismeretek tették lehetővé a név- és tárgymutató elkészítését is. A kötet elején azért olvasható a bevezetés angol nyelven is, mert így nemcsak a latin forrásszöveg, hanem a tanulmányban összegyűjtött, a legfrissebb szakirodalmat is magába foglaló ismeretanyag válik elérhetővé és használhatóvá a hazai, valamint a külföldi szakemberek és érdeklődők számára. Mivel a forrás a Zsigmond lengyel királlyá koronázása és litván nagyfejedelemmé választása előtti néhány évben íródott (és egészen a koronázásig követi nyomon a herceg mindennapjait), egy politikailag is roppant izgalmas és fordulatos időszakot dokumentál. A hercegi udvar utazásai és a herceg intenzív kapcsolatai révén magyar, osztrák, szlovák, cseh, lengyel, litván, ukrán és belorusz kutatók is meríthetnek értékes információkat a forrás kiadásából.
A kutatás összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára
Ebben a fejezetben írja le a kutatás fő célkitűzéseit alapműveltséggel rendelkező laikusok számára. Ez az összefoglaló a döntéshozók, a média, illetve az érdeklődők tájékoztatása szempontjából különösen fontos az NKFI Hivatal számára.
A pályázat nyújtotta anyagi fedezet segítségével megoldható lenne egy , a 16. század elején (1504-1507) keletkezett latin nyelvű forrás kiadás, melyben a korszak nemzetközi politikai eseményeit irányító Jagelló dinasztiának egy tagja, az 1506-1507-ben litván nagyfejedelemmé és lengyel királlyá koronázott Jagelló Zsigmond hercegnek és udvartartásának mindennapi kiadásai kerültek lejegyzésre. Roppant színes kép bontakozik ki az olvasó előtt a forrást olvasva, s ez az anyag sokoldalúan felhasználható a hazai és a külföldi kutatók és latinul tudó érdeklődők számára egyaránt. Zsigmond herceg ezekben az években sokat utazott, így nemcsak a mindennapi élettel (utazás, táplálkozás, szórakozás, egészségmegőrzés, állatgyógyászat, stb.) kapcsolatos ismeretek széles spektruma tárul elénk, hanem a Jagellók uralta Magyar, Cseh, Lengyel Királyság és Litván Nagyfejedelemség viszonyaiba is betekintést nyerhetünk. A kötet bevezetője magyar és angol nyelven is olvasható, így segítve elő a nemzetközi kutatás számára a könnyebb megértést és szélesítve a felhasználók körét.
| Summary Summary of the research and its aims for experts
Describe the major aims of the research for experts.
By the publication of the account book -- which attested the everyday life of a polish prince, Sigismund Jagiellon and his court and was written between 1504 and 1507 -- a multiple primer source will be available both the Hungarian, and the foreign researchers. The volume is important and challenging not only thence, because the Hungarian related part of the accounts -- which were published as a result of the work of Adorján Divéky (The accounts of Sigismund Polish prince in Buda (1500-1502., 1505)) -- can be completed after a hundred years, but also the reason is, that in the life of the prince, furthermore in the history of the Polish and Lithuanian folks significant events have passed off and can be followed on the pages of the source material. The bilingual (Hungarian-English) introduction of the planned book summarizes the research of this topic and describes the source. The most relevant part of the volume is the transcription of the Latin texts (it also contains Polish and German worlds); at the end of the book there is an index of names, an index of objects (functionally this is also a dictionary, consequently helps to understand the meaning of Polish words and the rarely used Latin words as well). There is also an additamentum, where one can see photograohs of the original source (different hand writings, water marks), furthermore a map, on which one can follow the journeys of the court of the prince.

There are hardly any questions, as the aim of the present application is to find the financial background to the edition of the refered volume, which is ready to publish.
What is the significance of the research?
Describe the new perspectives opened by the results achieved, including the scientific basics of potential societal applications. Please describe the unique strengths of your proposal in comparison to your domestic and international competitors in the given field.
During the last decade -- as a result of my research and work --, I have transcribed the mentioned account book, which is preserved in the National Archive in Warsaw; working up the related Hungarian, Czech, Polish and Austrian scientific literature it would be possible the writing of the introduction and the preparing of name and object indices.
The reason, why one can read the introduction in English languague also is, because in this way not only the Latin text, but also the collected knowledge -- which contents the most recently published literature -- will be available and useable for the Hungarian and foreign researchers, furthermore inquiring readers as well.
As the source was written during the preceding few years of the coronation and election of Sigismund (Polish king and Lithuanian grand duke) and comes on the heels of the every day life of the prince till his coronation, it documents a politicaly exciting and animated period. As the prince and his court traveled quite often and he had intensive political relations, Hungarian, Austrian, Slovakien, Czech, Polish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Byelorussian researchers can draw on substantial information from the edition of the prepared volume.

By the help of the financial support of the present application, it would became solvable the edition of a Latin written source from the 16th century (1504-1507), in which the everyday expenses of a member of the Jagiellon dinasty -- this family controlled the international relations and events in this period on a relevant part of Europe --, Sigismund Jagiellon prince and his court were registered. At the end of 1506 and the beginning 1507, Sigismund was elected garnd duke of Lithuania, after king of Poland. By reading the accounts, we become acquainted with everyday life of the prince, his court, and surroundings. The material can be used by researchers and all, who can understand Latin. Prince Sigismund had traveld many times in these years, therefore not only the large spectrum of the knowledge connecting to the contemporary life (journey, nourishment, relaxation, recreation, animal healing, etc.) reveals itself, but we can get an insight into liaison of the Hungarian, Bohemian, Polish Kingdoms and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania ruled by the Jagiellons also. The introduction of the volume can read in Hungarian, and in English as well, thusly promoting the better understanding of international research and improving the circle of readers.
