Mi a kutatás alapkérdése? Ebben a részben írja le röviden, hogy mi a kutatás segítségével megválaszolni kívánt probléma, mi a kutatás kiinduló hipotézise, milyen kérdéseket válaszolnak meg a kísérletek. Milyen módon értelmezhető korszerűen Horatius ma Magyarországon?
Mi a kutatás jelentősége? Röviden írja le, milyen új perspektívát nyitnak az alapkutatásban az elért eredmények, milyen társadalmi hasznosíthatóságnak teremtik meg a tudományos alapját. A program keretében megjelent a Horatius-monográfia (amire magyar nyelven 1958 óta nem volt példa). Ez a könyv korszerű módon beszél a corpus összes műfajáról, az ódák kapcsán az összes alapvető interpretációs kérdést tárgyalja, és a legkanonikusabb verseket külön elemzi. A kötet szerzői között megtalálható szinte mindenki, aki ma Magyarországon érdemben foglalkozik a szerzővel. A pályázat leadásakor a kézirat készen volt, de a szaklektori vélemény alapján módosításokat végeztünk, a szerkesztő a hivatkozásokat egységesítette, a kereszthivatkozásokat a korrektúrafázisban lehetett véglegesíteni. A publikáció tartalmazza, hogy OTKA-támogatással jelent meg, valamint a vonatkozó programszámokat is. A köteles-példányok megküldése és az összes fontos könyvtár ellátássa példányokkal folyamatban van, és hamarosan megtörténik.
Results in English
The project resulted in the publication of monographic book on Horace, a kind of novelty in Hungarian. (Last time something that can be called an academic book on Horace appeared in 1958.) This book discusses all the genres of the poet, and through the analyses of all the strongly canonised odes contributes to the major interpretive problems of his oeuvre. Almost everyone who does research in Horace in the present Hungary contributed to the volume. When the application was submitted, the manuscrcipt was ready, but we have fulfilled some modifications on the basis of the external review. The style of references has been unified. Cross references could be finalised in the phase of galley proof. The book indicates the fact that it was financed by OTKA, just like the relevant numbers of projects. All the important libraries will be given copies, that activity is on due course.
