Ez a kutatási projekt számos új és fontos tudományos eredményt hozott a városi típusú aeroszol képződését, tulajdonságait, folyamatait, átalakulását és transzportját illetően, valamint a részecskék egészségi, környezeti és éghajlati hatásait tekintve mind Budapestre vonatkozóan, mind pedig általánosságban. Azonosítottuk és számszerűsítettük a részecskék fő antropogén és természetes forrásait, mint például a fosszilis tüzelőanyagok tüzelése, a biomassza égetése, a biogén források, valamint a légköri újrészecske-képződési folyamat, illetve olyan szektorokat, mint a közúti járműforgalom, a városi por vagy a másodlagos részecskék. Feltártuk és dokumentáltuk a részecskék különböző tulajdonságainak a levegőminőségre gyakorolt hatásait, és új típusú, konkrét megközelítéseket javasoltunk a hatékonyabb javítása érdekében, például forrásspecifikus intézkedések alkalmazásával.
Results in English
This research project generated several novel and important scientific insights into the formation, properties, processes, transformation and transport of urban-type aerosol, as well as its health, environmental and climate effects both for Budapest and in general. We identified and quantified the main anthropogenic and natural sources of particles such as fossil fuel combustion, biomass burning, biogenic sources and atmospheric new particle formation process or sectors such as road vehicle traffic, urban fugitive dust or secondary particles from several aspects. We also revealed and documented the effects of various particle properties on air quality, and suggested novel and concrete approaches for more effective improvements in air policy using e.g. source-specific measures.
