A megjelentetni tervezett kiadvány bemutatása Mutassa be a megjelentetni tervezett kiadványt (műfaj, nyelv, tartalom, példányszám, megjelenés várható ideje). Ismertesse a kiadvány jelentőségét a hazai és nemzetközi szakmai közösség számára. Csíksomlyó közismert „nemzeti kegyhely” a Székelyföldön, ahová évszázadok óta tömegek zarándokolnak. Ismertsége bármely más magyar zarándokhelyét felülmúlja, és évtizedek alatt nemcsak vallási, hanem nemzeti jelentőségre is szert tett. Történetének 1949-ig terjedő első évszázadait A csíksomlyói pünkösdi búcsújárás. Történet, eredet, hagyomány (Bp. 2009) c. könyvemben írtam meg. A ferences Mária-kegyhely a diktatúra után 1990-től újjáéledt. Mostani nagymonográfiám tárgya ezeknek az évtizedeknek a történeti néprajzi bemutatása, elemzése. Csatolmányban olvasható a tartalomjegyzék. Az elkészült mű: A csíksomlyói kegyhely és búcsújárás a 20. század második felében. A bevezetőt követő második részben röviden összefoglaltam a kegyhely életének első évszázadait. A harmadik részben a negyven évet átívelő diktatúra a téma. A negyedik és ötödik rész tíz fejezetben tárgyalja az 1990 után feléledő búcsújárást és a kegyhely változásait a vezetőktől a tárgyakig, a térszerkezettől a médiáig. Mostanig még nem készült Magyarországon önálló monográfia egy kegyhelyről, annak ünnepi gyakorlatáról. Hasonló művek a nemzetközi kutatásban sem gyakoriak. A könyv fő szövegének terjedelme 26 szerzői ív, amihez mintegy 5 ívnyi szöveges melléklet és apparátus, valamint 437 válogatott, túlnyomórészt saját készítésű jól adatolt fénykép csatlakozik. A munka MTA doktori eljárása zajlik, a három támogató opponensi vélemény beérkezett, a nyilvános védés 2021 végén várható. A 2023 tavaszára tervezett kiadvány több szaktudomány és a „művelt nagyközönség” érdeklődésére is számot tart. A példányszám a kiadóval történt megállapodás függvénye, néhány száztól a pár ezerig tartó sávban mozoghat.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a tervezett kiadvány tartalmi felépítéséről és céljáról. Csíksomlyó közismert „nemzeti kegyhely” a Székelyföldön, fél évezredes múltra tekint vissza, mert a ferences szerzetesek minden csapás ellenére vissza-visszatértek ide. Mostanra már legalább háromszázötven éves a pünkösdi nagybúcsú is. Mindeddig még nem készült el a diktatúra négy évtizedének és az azt követő három évtizednek a tudományos összefoglalása. Erre a munkára vállalkoztam, ezt végeztem el. Csíksomlyó az egyetlen hely a teljes magyar nyelvterületen, ahová több mint harminc éve rendszeresen összegyűlik több százezer ember, akik nem fenyegetnek, nem tüntetnek, hanem imádkoznak. Többségük zarándok, kisebb részük inkább turista vagy érdeklődő. Emiatt a kegyhely jelentősége bármely más magyar zarándokhelyét felülmúlja. Évtizedek alatt nemcsak vallási, hanem nemzeti arculatot is öltött, ahol szabadon loboghat a magyar zászló. Könyvem a történeti régmúlt bemutatásával kezdődik. A következő rész fejezetei megmutatják, hogyan élte túl a kegyhely a diktatúra időszakát, hogy zajlott a lelkipásztori munka, kik voltak a korszak kulcsszereplői, és hogyan maradt életben a búcsújárás. A következő fejezetek az 1990-es újjáéledésről, a búcsú tereiről, lefolyásáról, vezetőiről, a résztvevő csoportokról szólnak. Ezt követően a modern kor változásai kerülnek sorra: a nemzeti jelleg megerősödése, a média szerepe, a vásár, az újabb fejlemények. Bőséges képanyag ad minden részletre kiterjedő vizuális élményt az olvasónak. Hiánytalan a tudományos apparátus, gazdag a szöveges melléklet. A könyvet haszonnal forgathatják szakemberek és érdeklődők a teljes magyar nyelvterületen, beleértve a külhoni és a diaszpórában élő magyarságot is.
Summary
Presentation of the proposed publication Present the proposed publication (type, language, content, number of copies, expected date of publication). Present the significance of the publication for the domestic and international scientific community. Csíksomlyó is a well-known “national shrine” in Szeklerland, where masses have been making pilgrimages for centuries. Its fame surpasses that of any other Hungarian pilgrimage site, and over the last few decades it has gained not only religious but also national significance. I wrote the first centuries of its history up to 1949 in my book 'Pentecostal pilgrimage in Csíksomlyó' (Bp. 2009). The Franciscan shrine of Mary was revived from 1990. The subject of my major monograph today is the historical ethnographic presenta-tion and analysis of these decades. The completed manuscript: 'The shrine and pilgrimage in Csíksomlyó in the second half of the 20th century'. In the second part following the introduction, I briefly sum-marized the first centuries of the life of the shrine. In the third part, the topic is for-ty years spanning the dictatorship. The fourth and fifth sections discuss in ten chapters the pilgrimage that revived after 1990 and the changes in the shrine from leaders to objects, from spatial structure to media. So far, no independent monograph has been made in Hungary about a shrine and its festive practice. Similar works are not common in international research either. The doctoral procedure of the Hungari-an Academy of Sciences is underway, the three supporting opponents' opinions have been received, and the public debate (protection) is expected at the end of this year. The publication, scheduled for the spring of 2023, is of interest to several disci-plines and wide audience. The number of copies is subject to agreement with the publisher, and can range from a few hundred to a few thousand.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the structure and aim of the proposed publication. Csíksomlyó is a well-known “national shrine” in Szeklerland, dating back half a millennium, because the Franciscan monks returned here despite all the plagues. By now, Pentecost is also at least three hundred and fifty years old. However, a scientific summary of the four decades of dictatorship and the following three decades has not been completed till now. Csíksomlyó is the only place in the entire Hungarian-speaking area where hundreds of thousands of people have gathered regularly for more than thirty years, who do not threaten, protest, but pray. Most of them are pilgrims, a small part are more tourist or interested. For this reason, the significance of the shrine surpasses that of any other Hungarian pilgrimage site. Over the decades, it has taken on not only a religious but also a national image, where the Hungarian flag can fly freely. My book begins with a presentation of the historical past. The chapters in the next section show how the shrine survived the period of dictatorship, how pastoral work took place, who were the key players of the era, and how the pilgrimage survived. The following chapters are about the 1990 revival, the spaces of farewell, its course, its leaders, and the groups involved. This is followed by the changes of the modern age: the strengthening of the national character, the role of the media, the fair, recent developments. Abundant visuals give the reader a visual experience that covers every detail. The scientific apparatus is complete, the text annex is rich. The book can be used profitably by professionals and those interested in the entire Hungarian language area, including Hungarians living abroad and in the diaspora.

A projektben vállalt cél az volt, hogy igényes nyomdai kivitelben és egyúttal OpenAcces hozzáféréssel megjelenjék a szerző 2022 januárjában megvédett MTA doktori értekezése: A csíksomlyói kegyhely és búcsújárás. Diktatúra, rendszerváltás, modernizáció.
A projekt 16 hónapos futamideje alatt sor került a kéziratnak az opponensek által javasolt javítására, a szövegmelléklet átszerkesztésére, a fényképmelléklet átszerkesztésére, minden fényképnek a szöveg végéről a szövegbe illesztésére, személynévmutató és helységnévmutató elkészítésére.
A könyv 2023. május 15-én megjelent a L’Harmattan Kiadó gondozásában 624 oldalon, 267 fényképpel, B5 formátumban, keménytáblás kötésben, védőborítóval, igényes nyomdai kivitelben. Elkészült az OpenAcces hozzáférést biztosító felület. Megtörtént a könyv bemutatója a Szent István Könyvhéten (május 16.) valamint a szakma körében a Néprajzi Múzeumban (május 30.). A média kitüntető figyelmének köszönhetően máris több műsor, portál és sajtótermék hírt adott a könyvről.

The aim of the project was to publish the author's HAS doctoral thesis, defended in January 2022, in a high-quality printing and with OpenAccess access The shrine and pilgrimage at Csíksomlyó: dictatorship, regime change, modernisation.
During the 16-month duration of the project, the manuscript was corrected as suggested by the opponents, the text appendix was re-edited, the photo appendix was re-edited, all photographs were inserted from the end of the text into the text, and an index of personal names and place names were prepared.
The book was published on May 15, 2023 by L'Harmattan Kiadó with 624 pages, 267 photographs, B5 format, hardcover, protective cover, high quality printing. The OpenAccess access interface has been completed. The presentation of the book took place during Szent István Book Week (May 16) and among the profession at the Museum of Ethnography (May 30). Thanks to the outstanding attention of the media, several programs, portals and press products have already reported on the book.
