Summary in Hungarian A megjelentetni tervezett kiadvány bemutatása
Mutassa be a megjelentetni tervezett kiadványt (műfaj, nyelv, tartalom, példányszám, megjelenés várható ideje). Ismertesse a kiadvány jelentőségét a hazai és nemzetközi szakmai közösség számára.
A kötet 40 szerző angol vagy német nyelvű tanulmányát tartalmazza, s arra a szakmai együttműködésre épül, amellyel a szerkesztők (Pósán László és Bárány Attila Debreceni Egyetem Történelmi Intézete egyetemi tanárai) több évtizedes szakmai munkásságuknak köszönhetően rendelkeznek. Számos idegen nyelvű kötetet jelentettünk meg, melyek Európa több kutatóhelyére elkerültek. Eredményeik beépültek a nemzetközi tudományosságba, amit a hivatkozások igazolnak. A tudományos közvélemény a visszajelzések szerint a The Jagiellonians in Europe (2016), a Das Konzil von Konstanz und Ungarn (2016) vagy a The Image of States (2018) c. köteteket jól fogadta. Német és lengyel együttműködésben készítettük a 43 szerzős Studies on the Military Orders, Prussia, and Urban History c. kötetet. Jelen munkában a Balkán és a Baltikum közötti kelet-közép-európai térség középkori politikai, gazdasági, társadalmi, egyházi és kulturális viszonyait elemző írások szerepelnek, különös tekintettel a magyar kapcsolatokra, a közös vagy hasonló elemekre, struktúrákra, a térség Nyugat-Európától sok vonatkozásban eltérő, sajátos helyzetére és fejlődésére. A hazai kollégák mellett lengyel, cseh, német, dán, litván, lett, észt, horvát, szerb és szlovén kutatók részvételére számítunk. A szerzők zömével évekre visszanyúló kapcsolatot alakítottunk ki Krakkóban, Toruńban, Varsóban, Gdańskban, Leedsben, Tartuban, Lyonban, Berlinben, Kopenhágában, Hamburgban, Poznańban, Brnoban, Leccében, Tallinban, Ljubljanában, Würzburgban, Malborkban, Rigában, Vilniusban és Kielben. Az olvasószerkesztői és szerkesztői munkába külföldi kollégákat is be kívánunk vonni, főképp Hamburgból, Leccéből és Toruńból.

A hazai kollégák mellett különösen lengyel, cseh, német, dán, litván, lett, észt, horvát, szerb és szlovén kutatók részvételére számítunk, de olyan nyugat-európai (francia, angol) és amerikai szakemberekre is, akik a régióval foglalkoznak. A szerzők zömével évekre visszanyúló szakmai kapcsolatot alakítottunk ki Lengyelországban, Németországban, Csehországban, Litvániában, Lettországban, Észtországban, Szlovéniában, Dániában, Olaszországban, Franciaországban és Angliában. A szerkesztői munkába külföldi kollégákat is be kívánunk vonni.
| Summary Presentation of the proposed publication

The volume contains studies in English or German by 40 authors, and builds upon the cooperation which the editors (László Pósán and Attila Bárány, Institute of History of the University of Debrecen). We published numerous volumes in foreign languages, which have reached many research centres across Europe. Our findings integrated into the international academic life, as evidenced by the citations. According to the feedbacks, the volumes entitled The Jagiellonians in Europe (2016), the Das Konzil von Konstanz und Ungarn (2016) and The Image of States (2018) were well-received by the scientific community. The 43-author Studies on the Military Orders, Prussia, and Urban History was produced in collaboration with German and Polish authors. The work contains articles analysing the medieval political, economic, social, ecclesiastical and cultural relations of the Central and Eastern European region between the Balkans and the Baltic states, with special emphasis on Hungarian connections, common or similar elements and structures, and the region's peculiar situation and development, which is in many respects different from that of Western Europe’s. We expect the participation of Polish, Czech, German, Danish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Croatian, Serbian, and Slovenian researchers. We have developed long-lasting relationships with most of the authors in Kraków, Toruń, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Leeds, Tartu, Lyon, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Poznań, Brno, Lecce, Tallinn, Ljubljana, Würzburg, Malbork, Riga, Vilnius, and Kiel. We also intend to involve colleagues in the copy editorial and editorial works, chiefly from Hamburg, Lecce, and Toruń.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience

The volume contains studies in English or German by approx. 40–50 authors, and builds upon the professional cooperation which the editors (László Pósán and Attila Bárány, professors at the Institute of History of the University of Debrecen) developed during their several decades of professional experience. We published numerous volumes in foreign languages, which have reached many research centres across Europe, and, as their citations attest, their results integrated into international academic life. The scientific community, according to the feedbacks, well appreciated the volumes entitled “The Jagiellonians in Europe” (2016), the “Das Konzil von Konstanz und Ungarn (2016) and “The Image of States” (2018). The present work contains articles analysing the medieval political, economic, social, ecclesiastical and cultural relations of the Central and Eastern European region between the Balkans and the Baltic states, with special emphasis on Hungarian connections, common or similar elements and structures, and the region's peculiar situation and development, which is in many respects different from that of Western Europe’s. In addition to the Hungarian colleagues, we are expecting the participation of Polish, Czech, German, Danish, Lithuanian, Estonian, Croatian, Serbian, and Slovenian researchers in particular, as well as Western European (French, British) and American academics who study the region. We have developed long-lasting professional relationships with most of the authors in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Denmark, Italy, France, and England. We also intend to involve foreign colleagues in the editorial work.
