A LOGOPÉDIA című kötet egy átfogó, magyar nyelvű egyetemi tankönyv, amely a beszéd, nyelv, kommunikáció és nyelés zavarainak diagnosztikai és terápiás megközelítéseit mutatja be, multidiszciplináris szemléletben.
A mintegy 1300 oldalas, két kötetes mű kiadása különösen jelentős, mivel hazánkban még sohasem született hasonló volumenű, integratív szemléletű logopédiai tankönyv. A kötet elsőként nyújt rendszerezett áttekintést a logopédia tudományos kereteiről, alapelveiről és terminológiájáról, célja az evidencia alapú gyakorlat bemutatása, valamint a logopédia ismereteinek széles körben történő terjesztése a társszakmák és az érintettek számára.
A könyv hat fő tartalmi egységre oszlik, amelyek lefedik a logopédia fő területeit: elméleti alapok, beszéd- és hangképzési zavarok, nyelési zavarok, nyelvi fejlődési és tanulási zavarok, kommunikációs stratégiák és specifikus kommunikációs zavarok, valamint szerzett nyelvi és kommunikációs zavarok. Az egyes fejezetek tanulási célokat, definíciókat, esettanulmányokat és önellenőrző kérdéseket is tartalmaznak, segítve az ismeretek elsajátítását.
Összességében, a kötet olyan hiánypótló mű, amely kiindulópontként szolgálhat a szakmai terminológia egységesítéséhez, a logopédiai diagnosztika és terápia fejlesztéséhez, hozzájárul a hazai logopédusképzések tartalmi megújításához, illetve a magyar logopédia további fejlődéséhez.

LOGOPEDIA is a comprehensive textbook in Hungarian, presenting diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The publication of this two-volume work of about 1300 pages is particularly significant, as no textbook on speech and language therapy (SLT) with a similar volume and integrative approach has ever been published in Hungary. The volume is the first to provide a systematic overview of the scientific framework, principles and terminology of SLT, and aims to present evidence-based practice and to disseminate knowledge of speech and language therapy widely to the profession and to those involved.
The book is divided into six main content units covering the main areas of SLT: theoretical foundations, voice and speech disorders, swallowing disorders, developmental language and verbal learning disorders, communication strategies and specific communication disorders, and acquired language and communication disorders. Each chapter also includes learning objectives, definitions, case studies and self-testing questions to enhance knowledge acquisition.
Overall, the volume is a valuable contribution to the standardisation of professional terminology, the further development of assessment and intervention in speech and language therapy, the foundations of Hungarian SLT university programmes and the further development of the professional field.
