A 4 év alatt 5 témakörben folytattunk kutatásokat 1.) Az oszcillációs Belouszov-Zsabotyinszkij reakció mechanizmusa Metanollal, etilén-glikollal és polietilén-glikollal perturbáltuk a klasszikus (malonsav szubsztrátumú) BZ-reakciót. Az eredményeket a BZ-reakció MBM mechanizmusával modelleztük. Az oxálsav szubsztrátumú oszcillációs BZ-reakciót tanulmányoztuk kísérletileg, és szimulációkkal. Felfedeztük, hogy e rendszerben a bróm és az oxálsav láncreakció révén reagálhatnak egymással, ahol a láncvivők a karboxil gyök és a bróm atom. Nemkatalizált bromát - szubsztrát reakciókat fedezünk fel a klasszikus BZ-rendszerben. 2.) Kémiai dinamikai rendszerek analízise a parametrikus reprezentáció módszerével Globális bifurkációs diagramok szerkesztésére használtuk fel a módszert egy biológiai modellben. 3.) Gerjeszthető dinamikájú és más „aktív” reakció-diffúzió rendszerek modellezése, kémiai hullámok heterogén közegekben Álló és mozgó csapadékfrontokat hoztunk létre Liesegang-rendszerekben. Élő sejt kalcium hullámait modelleztünk. 4.) Kémiai hullámok geometriai elmélete Az elméletet heterogén körgyűrűben keringő hullámokra alkalmaztuk. A Fermat-elvre alapozott aplanatikus felületek segítségével kémiai lencsét terveztünk, amit kísérletileg is megvalósítottunk. 5.) Elektrolit dióda és tranzisztor rendszerek kutatása Új elektrolit diódákat hoztunk létre gyenge lúg és gyenge sav felhasználásával. Módszert dolgoztunk ki gyengén töltött hidrogélek töltésének mérésére.

Research was made in 5 topics during the 4 years 1.) Mechanism of the oscillatory Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction The classical BZ reaction (substrate: malonic acid) was perturbed with methanol, ethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol. Results were modelled by the MBM mechanism of the BZ reaction. The oscillatory BZ reaction with oxalic acid substrate was studied experimentally and by simulations. It was discovered that in this system bromine and oxalic acid can react with each other via a chain reaction where the chain carriers are carboxylic radicals and bromine atoms. Noncatalyzed bromate - substrate reactions were discovered in the classical BZ system. 2.) Analysis of chemical dynamic systems with the method of parametric representation The method was applied to construct global bifurcation diagrams in a biological model. 3.) Modelling of excitable and other „active” reaction-diffusion systems, chemical waves in heterogeneous media Steady and moving precipitate fronts were created in Liesegang systems. We also modelled the calcium waves of a living cell. 4.) Geometric theory of chemical waves The theory was applied for waves rotating in a heterogeneous ring. With the aid of aplanatic surfaces derived by the Fermat principle a chemical lens was designed, which was realized experimentally. 5.) Research of electrolyte diodes and transistors New electrolyte diodes were created applying weak acids and bases. A new method was developed to measure the charge of weakly charged hydrogels.
