A jelen kutatási program az előző, Mihalovich Ödön igazgatói működésének (1887–1919) dokumentálására irányult kutatási program szerves folytatása, három főigazgató: Dohnányi Ernő (1934–1943), Zathureczky Ede (1943–1957) és Szabó Ferenc (1958–1967) tevékenységének levéltári dokumentumok alapján való vizsgálata, feldolgozása és közreadása. A Dohnányira vonatkozó kutatás befejezést nyert, eredménye megjelent, fontos információkkal egészíti ki a Zeneakadémia és a magyarországi zene történetét.
A munkatervtől való eltérés: Zathureczky Ede és Szabó Ferenc igazgatói működésének feldolgozása megkezdődött, de befejezést nem nyert.
A kutatást nehezítő körülmények:
– Egy munkatárs (dr. Dancs Lászlóné) betegsége, majd halála;
– a levéltár időleges hozzáférhetetlensége;
– iratok hiánya;
– évkönyvek hiánya.
Results in English
The present project, organic continuation of the previous one focussed on Ödön Mihalovich's directorship (1887–1919), contains examination and publication of archival documents concerning activities of three general directors of the Music Academy: Ernő Dohnányi (1934–1943), Ede Zathureczky (1943–1957) and Ferenc Szabó (1958–1967). The Dohnányi research has been achieved and published; it gives important additions to the history of the Academy and of the Hungarian music.
Divergence from the project: the processing of the activities of Ede Zathurczky and Ferenc Szabó has been started, but not yet finished.
Difficulties in the realization of the project:
– Illness and death of one collaborator (the archivist Ms. dr. Dancs);
– temporary inacessibility of the archive;
– missing documents;
– lack of yearbooks.
