Az OTKA támogatásával sikeresen befejeztük a vállalt történeti-szakmai kutatást, amelynek során alapvető feladatunk az volt, hogy a rendszerváltást követő időszak Kelet-Európájában megvizsgáljuk a történetírás új tendenciáit. Érzékeltettük annak a szemléleti, szervezeti és történetírói fordulatnak fontos elemeit, amely az 1989-es fordulat nyomán bekövetkezett a régióban. Igyekeztünk ezeket a jellegzetes tendenciákat a régió minden országára kiterjeszteni. A tanulmányok felölték az orosz, a lengyel, a cseh, a román, a szerb és a horvát történelem egy-egy problematikáját.

the Department of East-European History have accomplished the historical-historiographical research whose main aim was to concentrate on and describe new tendencies of historiography through some characteristic historical problems in Eastern Europe after the change of regime. We have put emphasis on the most important elements of the sharp historical turn in 1989. We have tried to unfold the characteristic tendencies in all the countries of the region. The studies cover a special problem of the Russian, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Serbian and Croatian history respectively.
