A kutatás első és második évében az orvostudomány kapcsolattörténeti kérdéseivel kívánunk foglalkozni, építve dr. Tardy Lajos tudományos hagyatékának e témakörhöz kapcsolódó forráskutatási anyagaira, továbbá a Schultheisz Emillel végzett közös kontaktológiai kutatásaikra. A cári Oroszországban számos, magas rangú magyar orvos élt, életművük és a magyar tudományhoz kapcsolódó helyzetük tisztázásához további részkutatásokra van szükség. A második év végén szeretnénk a magyar orvostudomány jó néhány egyéb kapcsolattörténeti anyagával együtt a teljes anyagot sajtó alá rendezni és megjelentetni.
A kutatás harmadik és negyedik évében elsősorban a kartográfiatörténeti és általában az Iter Pannonicum témakörébe vágó kutatásokat szeretnénk elvégezni, építve ismét Tardy Lajos hatalmas adatgyűjtésére, felhasználván azokat a kérdésköröket, amelyeket Tardy János kutatott kartográfiatörténeti feltáró munkája során. Ezek az anyagok a még tágabb értelemben vett kontaktológiai kutatások körébe tartoznak, s ily módon reményeink szerint sikerül a 15–19. századi magyar művelődéstörténet számos olyan kapcsolattörténeti vonatkozására fényt deríteni, s azt megfelelő szakmai jegyzetekkel ellátva közreadni, amelyek eddig nem nagyon kaptak helyet a történeti és művelődéstörténeti irodalomban.
Kutatásunk célja, hogy olyan forrásokat tárjunk fel, amelyeket a későbbiekben jól tudnak hasznosítani a diplomamunkákat és a doktori disszertációkat készítők is.
Summary
In the first and second year of the research we intend to focus on the relation history of medical science, built on scientific heritage of Dr. Lajos Tardy that is connected to this area and the research he carried out with Emil Schultheisz. During the reign of the tsars a number of high-ranking Hungarian medical doctors lived in Russia, and in order to summarize their oeuvre and their relationship to the Hungarian science further research is necessary. Towards the end of the second year we would like to organize and edit and complete the results with other materials and publish them.
The third and fourth year of the research, the primary focus will be cartographic history and generally will fall within the theme of Iter Pannonicum. The research will be based again on the wide range of survey of Lajos Tardy and we would also use the topics that Janos Tardy investigated during his research of cartographic history. These materials belong in a wider sense to contactology research, and therefore we are hoping to discover and publish a number of facts of the relation history during the period of 15-19th century’s Hungarian cultural history that hasn’t been published so far.
The goal of our research is to reveal such sources that can be effectively utilized by university and PhD students preparing their theses and dissertations.

OTKA-kutatásom első és második évében Tardy Lajos tudományos hagyatékának elsősorban az idegen nyelven írott anyagait dolgoztam fel, Schultheisz Emil professzor úrral együtt. A bibliográfiai anyagokkal, magyarázatokkal, új kutatási eredményekkel kiegészített tanulmányokból kilenc darab két szaktudományi monográfia részeként jelent meg. Ezek között esik szó Orlayról, Gyöngyössyről, a két Dee-ről, az olasz-magyar kapcsolatokról, a magyar járványtörténetről és Széky Jánosról.
Kutatásom harmadik és negyedik évében további a kapcsolattörténeti (orosz-magyar, grúz-magyar stb.) anyagok feldolgozására került sor, köztük a Magyarországon élt külföldi orvosokról (pl. Izsák zsidó orvosról, valamint a ide telepedett orvosokról, orvosdinasztiákról), illetve az Oroszországban szolgált magyar szakemberekről, különös tekintettel a 18. század második felére. Az utóbbiak sorában dolgoztatott fel Borisz Godunov magyar orvosának a munkássága, esett szó a két Pekenről, Kereszturi Ferencről, Reineggs Jakabról, Koritáry Györgyről és tudós kortársaikról. Kutatásomat a nem könnyen összeállított Tardy életmű-bibliográfia zárja. Ezeknél az anyagoknál is Schultheisz Emil professzor úr volt segítségemre.
Az imént felsorol kutatási anyagokat önálló kötetben adtam közre, amelyhez megjelenése után tudományos konferencia is kapcsolódott.
Úgy vélem, hogy egy értékes tudománytörténeti forrásanyagot sikerült felszínre hozni és közreadni.
Results in English
In the first and second years of my research supported by the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund, I studied the literary legacy of Lajos Tardy together with Professor Emil Schultheisz. Most of the papers were written in foreign language. Nine of the studies – completed with bibliographical data, explanations and new research results – were published as parts of two professional monographs. These papers deal with, among others, Orlay, Gyöngyössy, the two Dees, the Italian–Hungarian relationship, the history of epidemics in Hungary and J. Széky.
In the third and fourth years of my research, I studied the materials about further historical relationships (Russian–Hungarian, Georgian–Hungarian etc.) including the life of foreign physicians who lived in Hungary (e. g., the Jewish doctor Izsák, doctors and doctor dynasties that settled in Hungary) as well as Hungarian professionals who served in Russia, particularly in the second half of the 18th century. The latter included the life-work of the Hungarian physician of Boris Godunov, and the work of the two Pekens, F. Kereszturi, J. Reineggs, Gy. Koritáry and their contemporary scientists. My study is completed with a full bibliography of Tardy, which was not easy to collect. Professor Emil Schultheisz helped me in this work.
My research papers listed above were published in one volume, and a scientific conference followed its publication.
