Az utóbbi évek szakirodalmában kitapintható egy erőteljesen fejlődő, új kutatási irányzat, amely a mindennapos jogélet, a szerződési gyakorlat, az okiratok és formulák elemzéséből indul ki. A kutatási irányzatnak kedvez, hogy ismereteinket számos új forrás gazdagította (pl. Pompeji, Herculaneumi táblák, a Babatha-archívum, feliratok). Az irányzat erősödését tükrözi, hogy a római jogtudomány egyik legjelentősebb kongresszusa, a Deutscher Rechtshistorikertag 2002-es és 2004-es ülésén a római jogi előadások többsége ezt az irányzatot képviseli (többek között a témavezető előadásai). A kutatási irányzat továbbfejlődésének feltétele a formulák gyűjteményes kiadása.
Summary
In the recent years a new, developing tendency is perceptible. It is based on the analysis of every day legal life, contractual practice, and on analysis of formals and charters. Many recent sources (e.g. Tables of Pompei and Herculaneum, the Archives of Babatha) assist the new tendency, and it has more and more prestige among the jurists as well. It is denoted by the fact that in the last two years on one of the most important congress of jurisprudence of Roman law (Deutscher Rechtshistorikertag) most of the presentation represented this scientific school. The further development does assume the publication of selected contract formulas.

A kutatás menete:
- Brissonius művének digitális feldolgozása. Latin szöveg publikációja a Tanszék honlapján (www.juris.u-szeged.hu/romai/common/main.php).
- A latin szöveg összevetése a modern forráskiadásokkal.
- A latin források magyar fordítása.
- Kutatások B. Brissonius életéről és koráról.
- Jogtörténeti kommentár megírása.
- Egy szerződési típushoz (emptio venditio) részletes, új tudományos eredményekre törekvő monografikus feldolgozás is létrejött, német és magyar nyelven is, kb. 50%-os tartalmi átfedéssel (l. „Risikomanagement” és „Jogtudomány és jogélet”).
- Előkészületben: német nyelvű szövegkiadás a freiburgi partner, W. Kaiser és intézete közreműködésével.
Az első két kézirat „munkapéldány” formájában lezárásra került; publikációs pályázatra lesznek beadva.
A publikációs pályázat szokásos átfutási ideje miatt (a legközelebbi elbírálás március 15-én esedékes) a két kötet várhatóan csak 2010 tavaszán tud megjelenni.

The research project run as follows:
- Digital version of Brissonius' work. The publication of the Latin text on the home page of the Institute (www.juris.u-szeged.hu/romai/common/main.php).
- Comparing the Latin text with modern editions.
- Translation of the Latin text into Hungarian.
- Research about the life and time of Brissonius.
- Writing the commentary on legal history.
- One single contract type (emptio venditio) was prepared for a detailed scientific monography, in German and Hungarian, with a 50% overlapping content (Risikomanagement and Jurisprudence and legal life).
- In preparation: a German version of the book with W. Kaiser from the University of Freiburg i.Br. as co-author.
The first two manuscripts are finished as "work in progress"; the application for supporting the publication is in preparation. Expected deadline (because of the usual duration of the pcocedure) spring 2010.
