A projekt keretében azt tervezzük, hogy

- összehasonlítjuk a kvantummechanikai soktest-probléma különböző folytonos szimmetriáit; és áttekintjük szerepüket a magszerkezetben és egyszerű modellproblémákban.

- továbbfejlesztjük az összetett szimmetriák fogalmát, u.m.
a) a dipólus szuperszimmetriát, ami hasonló klaszterkonfigurációkat ír le különböző magokban, és
b) a sokcsatornás dinamikai szimmetriát, ami egy mag különböző klaszterizációiról ad számot egységes keretben.

- feltárjuk a kvázidinamikai szimmetria szerepét a soknukleon-rendszer fragmentációjában.

- tanulmányozzuk egyes szimmetriákra épülő algebrai klasztermodellek geometriai megfelelőit.

- megvizsgáljuk, a kísérleti adatok mily mértékben vannak összhangban az algebrai modellek szimmetriáinak jósjatával.

- az algebrai modellekben a szimmetriát explicit módon sértő kölcsönhatások figyelembevételével tanulmányozzuk a szimmetriasértés jelentőségét.

- megvizsgáljuk a szerkezeti szimmetriák hatását a reakciókra azáltal, hogy szimmetriákon alapuló
szerkezetszámítások eredményét használjuk fel reakcióelméleti (pl. R-mátrix) vizsgálatokban.

Tervünket realisztikusnak ítéljük abban az értelemben, hogy bizonyosan kivitelezhetőnek tartjuk. Természetesen nem láthatjuk előre az összes eredményt, de abban biztosak lehetünk, hogy ezek a vizsgálatok bővítik ismereteinket a soktest-probléma szimmetriáira vonatkozóan, és új információval szolgálnak a magszerkezetet illetően.
Summary
We plan to

- compare different continuous symmetries appearing in the quantum mechanical many-body problems and review their role in nuclear structure problems, as well as in simpler two-dimensional toy models.

- develop further the concepts of
a) dipole supersymmetry, which describes similar cluster configurations in different nuclei, and
b) multi-channel dynamical symmetry, which accounts for various fragmentations of a single nucleus.

- explore the role of quasidynamical symmetry in the fragmentation of the many-nucleon systems.

- study the geometrical mapping of some symmetry-based algebraic cluster models.

- explore how much the experimental data (e.g. energy spectra of cluster states) are in line with the systematics predicted by the symmetries of the algebraic models.

- improve our understanding on the role of symmetry-breaking by studying the algebraic description of clusterization with explicitly symmetry-breaking interactions.

- investigate the influence of structural symmetries in reaction data by combining symmetry-based structure calculations with (R-matrix) reaction theory.

We consider our plan realistic in the sense that these investigations can be carried out technically. Not all the results can be seen in advance, of course, but these studies will certainly improve our understanding on the role of symmetries in the nuclear many-body problem and provide us with new information on nuclear structure.

A kvantummechanikai soktestprobléma szimmetriáinak tanulmányozása során a következő eredményeket értük el. Az alapvető magszerkezetmodellek új összefüggéseire mutattunk rá szimmetriáik alapján, részben a véges hideg kvantumrendszerek fázisaira alapozva. Elméletileg meghatároztuk számos (N=Z=páros) atommag alakizomér állapotait, és az azokat létrehozni képes magreakciókat, egy általunk kifejlesztett, szimmetriákra alapozott módszerrel. Jóslatunkat a legújabb kísérletek két esetben is alátámasztják 28Si szuperdeformált és 36Ar hiperdeformált állapota). Vizsgálatokat végeztünk annak kiderítésére, hogy az elméleti előrejelzések (általában), és a szimmetriák (különösképpen) hogyan mutatkoznak meg a kísérleti adatokban (az izospin, a magtömegek, a rezonanciaparaméterek, a töltéssugár, az energiaspektrum és az elektromágneses átmenetek vonatkozásában). Új szimmetriák új aspektusait tártuk fel mind egyszerű kvantummechanikai problémák, mind a magfizikai soktest-probléma kapcsán. A PT-szimmetriával kapcsolatban tanulmányoztuk a megoldható potenciálok, a spontán sérülés és az effektív tömegek kérdését. Továbbfejlesztettük a magszerkezet (dipólus szabadsági fokának) két összetett szimmetriáját, melyeket korábban magunk vezettünk be: a klaszterállapotok szuperszimmetriáját és a többcsatornás szimmetriát.
Results in English
In studying the symmetries of the quantum mechanical many-body problem we have obtained the following results. We have found new relations among the fundamental models of nuclear structure via their symmetry properties. A part of this research was carried out within the framework of the phases of finite cold quantum systems. We have determined the shape isomers of several (N=Z=even) nuclei as well as the nuclear reactions which are able to populate them (from a new symmetry-adopted method, invented by us). The latest experiments seem to support our theoretical predictions in two cases (superdeformed state in 28Si, and hyperdeformed state in 36Ar). We have studied how the theoretical predictions (in general) and the symmetris (in particular) show up in the experimental data (concerning the isospin, nuclear mass, resonances, charge radius, energy spectra and electromagnetic transitions). We have revealed new aspects of new symmetries both for simple problems of quantum mechanics and for the nuclear many-body problem. In relation with the PT-symmetry we have studied some solvable potentials, sponateous breaking, and effective masses. We developed further two composite symmetries of the (dipole degree of freedom of the) nuclear structure, which were invented by us beforehand: the supersymmetry of cluster states, and the multichannel dynamical symmetry.
