A jelen publikációs pályázat egy monográfia megjelentetésére irányul, amely jelentős mértékben az OTKA támogatásával folyó, Kazinczy Ferenc életművét feltáró kutatásokra épül. A korábbi ciklusokban végzett munkálatok keretében kiadtam Kazinczy két folyóiratát, az Orpheust és a Magyar Museumot, a jelen monográfia középpontjában éppen ezen folyóiratok programjai és az ezek körül kibontakozott viták állnak. Értelmezésük nem volt elképzelhető a másik két korabeli jelentős folyóirat, a Mindenes Gyűjtemény és az Uránia programjainak számbavétele nélkül, s meg kellett teremteni a korabeli európai irodalom kontextusát is a fogalomhasználat terén. Kazinczy és mindkét folyóiratának programja az irodalom korabeli megújulásában kezdeményező szerepet töltött be, ezek vizsgálatával az átalakulás folyamatainak megértéséhez juthatunk közelebb. E vizsgálat sajátos metodika megteremtését kívánta, olyan elemzési szempontokra és módszerekre volt szükség, amelyekkel megragadható a „változás keletkezése”. Summary
This project is aimed at the publication of a monograph which is founded on a research of the oeuvre of Ferenc Kazinczy, supported by OTKA. In the framework of recent studies, I have published Kazinczy´s two periodicals (Orpheus and Magyar Museum) as a result of which my current monograph focuses on the programs of these periodicals and the debates around them. The interpretation of these programs would not have been possible without the discussion of two other major periodicals of the time, (Mindenes Gyujtemény and Urania), and it was equally essential to provide the overall context of European literature in order to facilitate the understanding of the main concepts and ideas of the 18th century. Kazinczy and the programs of his periodicals played an important part in the reformation of the Hungarian literature of the period. Assessing this role will enable us to understand the processes of reformation in greater depth and detail. The research required the creation of new, adequate and specific methods, capable of catching the "formation of reformation".
