A pályázat Bártfay László kéziratos naplójának megjelentetéshez kér támogatást. Károlyi György titkárának 1838-41 között keletkezett magánfeljegyzéseit az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár kézirattára őrzi. Jól ismert a korszak kutatói előtt, eddig azonban csupán szemelvények láttak belőle napvilágot. (Vál. és szerk. Jenei László, Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum – Népművelési Propaganda Iroda, Bp., 1969.) A szerző az időszak ismert háttérszereplője, irodalomszervezője, tevékenysége a korabeli magyar világ egymástól távol eső kulturális, politikai területeit, egymással ritkán érintkező csoportjait köti össze. A személyes napló, mint forrástípus tudományos felértékelődésének köszönhetően a szöveg fontos nyersanyag lehet, számos új szempontot adhat számos társtudomány (művészet-, színház-, politikai-, gazdaságtörténet) számára. Az irodalom- és történettudományon belül nélkülözhetetlen az emlékezés, a narráció, a személyiség, a közösségi, nemzeti identitás kialakulása kutatóinak, más megvilágításba helyezi a szimbolikus térhasználat, a nemi szerepek és életutak, az időhöz való viszony vizsgálatát, segíthet az olvasáshoz, kultúrafogyasztáshoz, a vizualitáshoz fűződő szokások feltérképezésében. A naplót a Ráció Kiadó gondozza, a tudományos igényű szövegközlést jelentős jegyzetapparátus teszi az olvasó számára követhetővé, élvezhetővé.
Summary
The proposal requests funding for the publication of László Bártfay's manuscript diary. The private notes of György Károlyi's secretary between 1838 and 1841 can be found in the manuscript collection of the National Széchenyi Library. It is a well-known resource for the researchers of the period despite the fact that only fragments of it have been published yet. (selected and edited by László Jenei, Petőfi Literary Museum- Public Cultural Promotion Agency, Bp, 1969.) The author is an influential background figure of the period and an organizer of literary life. His contribution links in certain cases extremely different cultural and political areas, relating groups that would rarely meet without his mediation. The personal diary, due to its revaluation as a type of resource, can be an important raw material for research providing new aspects for a number of coextisting research areas, such as art, theatre, political sciences, economics etc. In the realm of literary theory and and historical scholarship this raw material is indispensable for researchers of memory, narration or the personality and the emergence of communal and national identities for that matter. Such materials allow researchers to examine the symbolic use of space, gender and life histories or time relations from new angles. Besides, they can help mapping out changing cultural trends,and existing practices in reading and visual reception. The diary will be published by the Rácio Publisher. The academic text supplemented by extensive notes will be accessible and enjoyable for the general educated public.

A szöveg értelmezését ennek jegyében a lábjegyzeteken és a kísérő tanulmányon kívül havonkénti összefoglalók teszik az olvasó számára követhetővé, élvezhetővé. Jelentős jegyzetapparátus (név-, helyiségnév-, utcanévmutató és bibliográfia) segíti az elsősorban adatokat, eseményeket, helyszíneket rögzítő jegyzőkönyv használatát. A megnövekedett feladatsor jelentős többletterhet jelentett a kiadói munkatársaknak, az eredetileg kitűzött megjelenési időpont a fentiek miatt nem volt tartható.
