A projekt alapvető célja, hogy a Globális Vállalkozói Monitor (GEM) magyarországi kutatás folytatatását biztosítsa a 2010-2012-es években. A GEM egy nagy nemzetközi projekt, amely elsősorban a vállalkozói aktivitást, és a vállalkozás gazdaságra gyakorolt hatását vizsgálja, elemzi és hasonlítja össze a résztvevő országok között. A GEM felmérések dokumentálják a születőben levő, az új és a megállapodott cégek és azok alapítóinak magatartását és alapvető karakterisztikáit. Elemzésre kerülnek az innovativitás, a versenyképesség, a növekedési pályák,a finanszírozási módok is, mind a korai fázisú mind a megállapodott cégek eseteiben. A finanszírozási forrás legnagyobb része a 2000 fős reprezentatív felméréshez szükséges, amit 2010-2012-között 3 alkalommal készítünk el. A 7 kutató, akik közül 3 tapasztalt szenior, elsőrendű feladata, hogy Magyarország vállalkozói helyzetét elemezze. Emellett új kutatási irányokat is nyitottunk, amelyek akár A kategóriás, angol nyelvű, publikációkat is lehetővé tesznek. A legfontosabb eredmények a nemrégen megjelentetett Acs-Szerb Globális Vállalkozói Index (GEI) az azt vizsgáló egyedi módszer, a Büntetés a Szűk Keresztmetszetek (PFB), továbbfejlesztésétől várható. Emellett az eddigieknél nagyobb hangsúlyt szeretnénk adni a vállalkozás regionális különbségeinek és a Vállalkozói Keretfeltételeknek az elemzésére.
Summary
The aim of this project is to secure Hungary’s participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) research that is a large international project aiming to examine the national level of entrepreneurship and its connection to economic growth and development. The GEM survey data document the behavior and characteristics of nascent entrepreneurs, new entrepreneurs, and established business owners. The degree of innovativeness, competitiveness, and growth expectations of early-stage and established business owners, as well as the existence and characteristics of social environments conducive to entrepreneurship are also documented. Most of the finance serves to conduct the representative Adult Population Survey of 2000 adults in three times. The research group of seven, with three senior, experienced researchers aiming to provide a comprehensive review of the entrepreneurship and its environmental factors in Hungary in the 2010-2012 years. We are opening some new research opportunities that provide the possibility to A category publications. The most important results can be expected from the further development of the Acs-Szerb recently created Global Entrepreneurship Index, and its novel methodology called the Penalty for Bottleneck. We would like to provide more emphasis to analyze the regional characteristics of entrepreneurship in the Hungarian regions. We plan more investigation about the Entrepreneurial framework Conditions, based on expert surveys.

A kutatás előzetesen öt pontban fogalmazta meg a célkitűzéseket : 1. A GEM adatok gyűjtését az adott időszakban a terveknek megfelelően folytattuk. Az eredményeket három angol nyelvű, az Edward Elgarnál megjelent könyvben tettük közzé. A GEM adatgyűjtésről egy Statisztikai Szemle cikket jelentettünk meg. 2. A módszertan továbbfejlesztése folytatódott, a Szűk Keresztmetszetekért Történő Büntetés módszerét továbbfejlesztettük, viszont az eredményeket eddig impakt faktoros lapban nem sikerült publikálnunk, csak műhelytanulmányok láttak napvilágot. Úgy véljük viszont, hogy a későbbiekben sikerülni fog az impakt faktoros publikáció. 3. A GEM éves jelentések pótlása érdekében egy sorozatot alapítottunk GEM Magyarország jelentések címmel. Ebből a 2006,2007, 2009. 2011 éves jelentés megjelent. Ezen kívül egy magyar-angol nyelvű könyvet jelentettünk meg a2006-2010-es eredményekről, és a 2012-es jelentés 2014 februárjában jelenik meg. 4. A regionális kutatások esetében a spanyol eredmények a Regional Studies (1,46 impakt faktor) az afrikai elemzés pedig az International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation lapokban jelent meg, Az átmeneti országokról az elemzés esetében a korrekciót végezzük a Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development című lapba. 5. a GEDI elméleti továbbfejlesztése esetébe teljes a siker. Egy magas presztizsű lapban, Research Policy (2,85 impakt faktor) és egy Foundations and Trends in Entrepreneurship sorozat publikációt tudunk felmutatni.
Results in English
The research aims can be summarized in five points: 1. The collection of GEM data was continuing according to the previous plans. We published the main result in three English language books issued by Edward Elgar. In Hungarian language we published a Hungarian Statistical review article. 2. A development of the Penalty for Bottleneck methodology continued. While we have done major progress, the impact factor publications was not successful, we published only working papers. We expect to publish the methodology later on. 3. We have stopped the gap in the yearly GEM reports. A Hungarian-English language book summarizes the 2006-2010 results, and we have also published the yearly reports of 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 in a new series. The 2012 report is expected to come up in February 2012. 4. The results of the regional analysis of Spain is coming up in Regional Studies (1,46 impact factor) and the African results have been published in the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation A transitional country analysis is under review in the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development. 5. The theoretical development has been a full success, we have published the most important results in a major journal, Research Policy (2,85 impact factor) and in the Foundations and Trends in Entrepreneurship serial.
