Összefoglaló "Az ipar társadalma a 20. század első felében Magyarországon" c. kötetről:
Az iparhoz kötődő társadalmi csoportok a 20. századi európai társadalmak meghatározó erői. Az ipar társadalmának integrálására szolgáló sajátos intézményrendszer – a munkaközvetítés, a munkanélküli segélyezés, kollektív szerződések, munkajogi szabályozás, érdekegyeztető mechanizmusok, munkásbiztosítás – együttesen a korábbi 19. századi viszonyokhoz képest teljesen új profilt adtak az egész társadalomnak is. A munkaadók és munkavállalók érdekszervezeteinek kiépülése, majd ezek egymáshoz és a kormányzathoz való viszonya, és az ipari munkához kapcsolódó intézméynrendszer létrejötte egyszerre jelentette egy új társadalomszervezeti forma kialakulását és a politikai erőtér átstrukturálódását, mert az ipari munka területén keletkezett konfliktusok a 20. században a politika fontos kérdéseivé váltak, mintahogyan a munkaadók és a munkavállalók érdekképviseletei is részeseivé lettek a politikai erőtérnek. E jelenségeket a súlyuknak megfelelően kiterjedt nemzetközi – társadalom és politikaitörténeti kérdésekre egyszerre figyelő – szakirodalom tárgyalja. A magyar történetírás azonban eddig nem foglalkozott az ipar társadalmának intézmény és politikatörténetével. Tervezett munkám így az első, amely a nemzetközi irodalomra figyelemmel, szociológiai fogalmakat is felhasználva, egy korábbi OTKA kutatás eredményei alapján, magyar vonatkozásban tárgyalja ezt a témát.
Summary
Society of industry in Hungary during the first half of 20th century.
Social groups connected with industry are determinative forces of the European societies in 20th century. The system of institutions, which has been established in order to integrate the society of industry (labour exchange, support of the workless, collective labour contracts, regulation of the law of labour, mechanisms of agreement, workers insurance) has given a new profile to the whole society, compared to the circumstances during the 19th century. The development of associations for the protection of common interests on the workers’ and on the employers’ side, the relation of these organisations to each other and to the government and the establishment of a new system of institutions connected with industry have all together meant, that a new form of organisation of society has come into being and, at the same time, that the political field of force has been structured in a new way, because conflicts in the sphere of industrial work became in the 20th century important questions of politics and organisations for the protection of workers’ and of employers’ interests became parts of the political field of force. There is an international literature, in which these phenomena are treated in an extension adequate to their significance, paying attention to the questions of political as well as to the questions of social history. Hungarian historiography however hasn’t in effect dealt with the institutional and political history of the society of industry. So my projected work will be the first which will treat this subject, giving heed to international literature, employing also sociological terms, based on the results of a former research supported by OTKA.

A tervezett kötet (Az ipari munka társadalma. Szociális kihívások, liberális és korporatív válaszok Magyarországon a 19. század végétől a második világháború végéig) kéziratát 2010 szeptemberében lezártam és az Argumentum kiadónak leadtam. Ez után a kiadó a szerkesztés, tördelés munkáját elvégezte, s a könyvet nyomdába adta és az év végére meg is jelentette. Az Argumentum kiadó a pályázatról szóló jelentését, a könyv példányaival együtt az OTKÁ-nak leadta. Azóta a könyv már bekerült a könyvtárakba és könyvárusi forgalomban is kapható. Tudomásom szerint recenziók megjelenése is várható a munkáról.
Results in English
I have closed the manuscript of the volume (Society of industry. Social challenges, liberal and corporative answers in Hungary during the first half of 20th century) in September 2010 and have delivered it to Argumentum Publishing House. The publisher has done the work of edition and page-setting and has put the book to press. The volume came out to the end of 2010. The publisher has presented to OTKA the report about the competition as well, as the issues of the book. The volume is now attainable in libraries and available in bookshops. As I know several reviews are to be expected about the volume.
