A magyarországi boszorkányüldözés forrásainak, boszorkánypereknek, rágalmazási pereknek, varázsló-pereknek a szövegeit tartalmazó, 39 szerzői ív terjedelmű kötet soproni iratokat tartalmaz a 16-17. századból. A kötet szerkesztői valamennyi, jelenleg ismert soproni boszorkányper szövegét közzéteszik, és e munka során támaszkodnak Házi Jenő (1892-1986) néhai soproni főlevéltáros boszorkányper-gyűjtésére is. A forrásanyag mintegy két évtizede zajló feltárásában a Soproni Levéltár munkatársai (Tirnitz József, Szakács Anita, Németh Ildikó) is közreműködtek. A publikált szövegek forrásbázisát elsősorban a tanácsülési jegyzőkönyvek adják (Rathsprotokoll, Protocollum Senatorium), továbbá bejegyzések a városi könyvekből, a Gerichtsbuchból, a Gedenkbuchból, illetve a városi számadáskönyvekből is. További feljegyzések találhatóak Sopron Város Választott Polgárságának jegyzőkönyveiben (Gemeinbetrachtungen, Gemeindeprotocoll), valamint az úgynevezett Bürgerbüchl-ben és a Mohács előtti okleveles iratanyagban. A bejegyzések német nyelvűek. A kötet két nyelvű, a bevezető tanulmányok és az egyes perszövegek regesztái német és magyar nyelven kerülnének közlésre.
Summary
This approximately 500 page volume contains sources and minutes of witchcraft trials, libel cases and accusations of magic from 16th-17th century Hungary. The book contains the texts of all known witchcraft cases conducted in Sopron and in this effort makes use, amongst others, of the witchcraft collection by Jenő Házi (1892-1986) one time chief archivist of Sopron. Exploration of the source material has been underway for almost two decades with the assistance of the staff of the Sopron archives (József Tirnitz, Anita Szakács, Ildikó Németh). The source base for the texts published here is mostly the minutes of the Council sessions (Rathsprotokoll, Protocollum Senatorium), as well as records from the books of the city, from its Gerichtsbuch, Gedenkbuch and account books. Further records are to be found in the minutes of the elected burghers of the City of Sopron (Gemeinbetrachtungen, Gemeindeprotocoll), as well as in the so-called Bürgerbüchl and documents from the times before the battle of Mohács. The language of the records is German. The volume itself is bilingual, the introductory essays and the registers of the individual trial texts are to be published in German and Hungarian simultaneously.

Várostöréneti források 3. köteteként. Szerkesztők: Tóth G. Péter és Németh Ildikó. A kötet Házi Jenő kéziratának felhasználásával készült. Német nyelv lektor Németh János, latin nyelvi lektor Hermann István. A 649 oldalas kötet a többségében német, kisebb részben latin és magyar nyelvű perdokumentumokon kívül a perszövegek magyar nyelvű összefoglalásait, személynévmutatót és glosszáriumot is tartalma.

The volume entitled Soproni boszorkányperek / Ödenburger Hexenprozesse 14291702 has been published by the Balassi Publishing House, as the 3rd volume in the series B (Town History) of the Sources of the Hungarian Witchcrraft. The book has been edited by Péter G. Tóth and Ildikó Németh, using also the manuscript of Jenő Házi. The reader of the German text has been János Németh, that of the Latin texts has been István Hermann. The size of the volume is 649 pages. In addition to the witchcraft trial documents the majority of which are written in German, the book contains Hungarian abstracts of the trial records, an index of the person names and a glossary.
