A projekt forrásfeltáró zenetörténeti alapkutatást takar. A 16-18. század mindmáig ismeretlen tartalmú gregorián kódexeinek vizsgálata a feladat: a források összegyűjtése, majd a könyvekben található zenei anyag analízise. A végső cél a forrásokat egykor használó egyházi intézmények (kolostorok, egyházmegyék) egyszólamú liturgikus latinnyelvű énekgyakorlatának rekonstruálása, valamint annak feltárása, milyen módon osztozott, és hogyan keveredett a középkori maradványanyag a mindennapi liturgikus gyakorlatban a humanista kor esztétikájának megfelelő komponált-metrizált római énekváltozatokkal. A kutatás várható hatása, eredménye: 1. A Trident utáni ének magyarországi gyakorlatának elemzése, dallami összehasonlító kutatása a téma külföldi szakértői számára hiánypótló adatokkal szolgál. 2. A zenetörténeti analízis interdiszciplináris jelentőségű, a vizsgált időszak magyarországi művelődés- intézmény- és liturgiatörténetének eredményeit egészíti ki. 3. A kutatás a magyar zenetudomány számára is alapvető, első eredményei az MTA-ZTI Magyarország Zenetörténete III. kötetében kapnak helyet. 4. A vizsgálat szervesen kapcsolódik a magyar gregoriánkutató iskola főbb tematikáihoz azzal, hogy a gregorián repertoár használatának utolsó periódusát veszi szisztematikus kutatás alá. A vizsgálatok ideje alatt 5 tanulmány, könyvfejezet, konferencia-előadások, forrásjegyzék, katalógus és több adatbázis készítését vállalom.
Summary
This project is a musicological basic research aimed at discovering unknown Hungarian Plainchant sources from the 16th up to the 18th century. My purpose is: collecting these source materials and analyzing the chants that can be found in them. The final goal is to reconstruct the latin Plainchant practice in different ecclesiastical institutions (convents, dioceses) which used to be the owner of these liturgical chant books. Furthermore, examination is required in the question of how the remnant repertory of medieval Gregorian chant was distributed and how it was combined with the composed-measured Roman post-Tridentine chant in the everyday liturgical practice. Perspectives, results: 1. The musical analysis of post-Tridentine chant repertory in Hungary, in a narrower sense the comparison of the different musical traditions will fill a gap in this field and offer issues of high value for specialists abroad. 2. Being interdisciplinary, the musical investigation of this subject will complete the results of cultural, institutional and liturgical history of the era. 3. This research is also elementary for Hungarian musicology: first issues will be admitted in the third volume of Music History of Hungary, a handbook in preparation by the Institute for Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. 4. My investigations join organically to the main fields of the Hungarian Gregorian researcher team by making the last period of the Gregorian chant in Hungary the subject of systematic examination. During the research period, I assume that I would prepare 5 scientific articles, book-chapter, conference papers, source list, catalogue and several databases.
