A Decreta Regni Mediaevalis/The Laws of the Medieval Kingdom of Hungary utolsó, Jagelló-kori kötetének nyomtatása. Ezzel a kötettel az öt-kötetes, latin-angol nyelvü kritikai forráskiadás sikeresen befejezödik. A kötet tartalmazza az 1490 és 1526 között kiadott decreták jórészének teljes, kiseb részének válogatott szövegét. (A válogatás még Kubinyi Andrással avló megbeszélésen alapul.) A teljes latin szöveg (Döry Ferenc átirata alapján) egy CD-n mellékelve lesz a kötethez. Az angol fordítás és jegyzetelés a sorozat (DRMH) korábbi köteteihez hasonlóan, diplomatikai, történeti és prozopográfiai felvilágosítással szolgál. A kötet bevezetöjét Dr Marty Rady a londoni University College tanára írta. A kötetben megjelenik a DRMH 1-5 köteténk összafoglaló Index & Golossary-ja (Hunyadi Zsolt munkája) is. A kötetet a szokáso indexek (személyek, földrajzi nevek) és a földrajzi nevek összehasonlító Gazeteer-je egészítki ki.

The present project is the printed publication of the last volume of the Decreta Regni Mediaevlis Hungariae/The Laws of the Medieval Kingdom of Hungary, containing the legal documents of the Jagiellonian Age (1490-1526). The majority of the decreta will be printed in Latin with annotated English translation. A minor part only is selections, based on the consultation with the late Prof. Kubinyi. The volume is prefaced by a study on Jagiellonian Hungary by Prof. Martyn Rady SSESS, UCL and newly established chronology of the meetings of the noble diet and its decisions. The volume will also contain a cumulative Index and Glossary for all five volumes of DRMH (by Zsolf Hunyadi). The usual indices (personal and geographical names), bibliography and a comparative Gazetteer for the place names completes the volume.

A kötet a tervezettnek megfelelöen megjelent. Ezzel a 20 éves vállalkozás, a középkori magyar királyság törvényeinek kétnyelvü kiadása befejezödottt. A jelen negyedik kötet annyiban is különleges tudományso értékü, hogy Döry Ferenc átirata alapján az egyébként csak töredékesen és hibásan megjelent szövegek kritikai kiadásban látnak napvilágot. A Jagelló-kor megisméréséhez -- és bizonyos tekintetben újraértékeléséhez -- a kötet, beleértve Martyn Rady bevezetö tanulmányát és a diéták s határoztaik t eljes kronológiáját jelentösen hozz'fog járulni. Minthogy ez a kötet is, mint a nemgégen megjelent 5. (Tripartitum) nemzetközi kooperációban készült, a vállakozás hozzájárul a középkori magyar királyság történetenek jobb megismeréséhez világszerte.
Jelenleg a nyomda utolsó feladatait (CD melléklése) teljesíti. Kötelespéldányt küldünk, ezen kívül a szomszédos országok nemzeti ill. egyetemi könyvtárainak küldünk tisztelpéldányt. Ugyanakkor felhívtuk azon könyvtárak figyelmét, melyek az elözö kötetek megszereték, hogy ez az utlsó DRMH megjelent. CEU Press vállalta a terjesztést.

The volume has been printed and published as foreseen. Therewith, a project of more than 20 years standing has been completed and the statute law of the medieval kingdom of Hungary has been published in a critical, bi-lingual format. The present volume has a particular scholarly value, for the decreta of the Jagellonian age are now, thanks to the transcripts of the late Ferenc Döry, for the first time critically presented and thus replace the earlier fragmentary and faulty texts. The volume will contribute to the assessment and re-evaluation of the last decades of the independent Hungarian kingdom, especially through the introductory study of Prof. Martyn Rady and the complete chronology of diets and their decisions 1490-1526. Considering that this volume, just as the r ecently published 5th one (Tripartitum) was produced in international cooperation, the publication may add to the knowledge of the medieval history of Hungary abroad.
Presently the CD addition is being prepared. Complimentary copies were sent--beyond the mandatory ones--to several libraries inn the region. Beyond that, we alerted libraries that hold DRMH 1-3,5 that this last volume has appeared and can be ordered from CEU Press.
