A gluon-háromszögnek megfelelő Odderon felfedezését svéd-magyar 5 fős kollaboráció keretében publikáltuk elsőként, közkincs adatok modell-független feldolgozásával. Eredményeinket egy két szerzős elméleti cikkben is megerősítettük. A felfedezést kisérletileg alátámasztó TOTEM cikkek sorozatát publikáltuk a pályázat futamideje alatt, az odderon-csere új kísérleti adatok alapján történő megfigyelését egy D0-TOTEM közös, 476 szerzős kísérleti cikkben közöltük. Az Odderon felfedezésével alapvető információt nyertünk a proton-proton és a proton - antiproton ütközések közötti szimmetria sérüléséről, új fejezetet nyitva a részecskefizika Standard Modelljének keretein belül.
kutatási eredmények (angolul)
The main aim of our research was to discover the smallest geometrica structures (rings and balls) of the physical world, on the length-scales of one millonth part of a millionth part of a millimeter. The main aim of our research has been achieved with the discovery of odderon-exchange, a problem unsolved for 48 years in high energy particle physics. In these papers, the Hungarian TOTEM team played a leading role. An implication of this discovery is the existence of not only one, but several glueballs. During the project period, the TOTEM and CMS collaborations are also closing on the discovery of a tensor glueball, where the data analysis is a responsibility of a member of the Hungarian TOTEM team. The discovery of the Odderon by our Hungarian-Swedish 5 authored publication is based on a model-independent, data collapsing method. We have confirmed these results with two-authored theoretical papers. The D0 and TOTEM collaborations observed odderon exchange using new experimental data at 8 TeV and we have also confirmed our earlier results, based on public domain, previously published data with the help of the new 8 TeV TOTEM data as well. As far as we know, the observation of odderon exchange opens a new chapter within the Standard Model of Particle Physics at LHC, providing experimental information on the symmetry breaking between elastic proton-proton and proton-antiproton collisions at very high energies.
