During the 4 and a half years of the OTKA project, we studied Asian terrestrial snails. In total, we described 163 species, 3 subspecies, one genus, and three subfamilies for science. In addition to these, we discovered that 47 previously described taxa (species, subspecies, genus, etc.) are synonyms of other taxa. Among the new findings, we highlight the revision of the genus Angustopila. These are typically snails smaller than 1 mm, and this genus includes the world’s smallest terrestrial snail. Out of the 53 species in this genus, we discovered and described 48, so it can be stated that we have uncovered a highly species-rich group of animals for science.
