Az összegzési eljárások a Fourier analízis egy fontos ágát alkotják. Ismeretes, hogy ha egy Fourier sor részletösszegei divergensek, egy alkalmas összegzési eljárással kaphatunk konvergenciát. Hasonlóan az inverz Fourier transzformáltra vonatkozó egyenlőséget (amely csak “szép függvényekre” működik) is ki lehet terjeszteni egy tágabb függvényosztályra egy alkalmas összegzéssel.

A Gábor analízis (vagy idő-frekvencia analízis) az elmúlt 20 évben került az érdeklődés középpontjába. A magyar Gábor Dénes ötletén alapulva Janssen, Daubechies, Feichtinger, Benedetto és Gröchenig munkássága nyomán vált az idő-frekvencia analízis a harmonikus analízis önálló, gyorsan fejlődő ágává. Ezt a területet Magyarországon még kevésbé intenzíven vizsgálják. A Gábor analízisnek számos gyakorlati alkalmazása van, pl. a kép- és jelfeldolgozásban, illetve a kommunikációelméletben (mobil telefonok).

Ezen pályázat keretén belül a Fourier sorok összegzéseit és a Gábor analízist szeretném vizsgálni illetve összekapcsolni. Egyrészről a Gábor analízis eszközeivel vizsgálnám a Fourier sorok és transzformáltak összegzéseit. Másrészről az összegzési eljárásokat alkalmaznám a Gábor analízisben és a Gábor sorok illetve Gábor transzformált összegzéseivel foglalkoznék. Ez a téma igen újnak mondható, a szakirodalomban alig-alig fordulnak elő erre vonatkozó eredmények.
Több dolgozat publikálását tervezem referált nemzetközi szakfolyóiratokban.

Summability methods constitute a central part of classical Fourier analysis. They have arisen from the observation that the partial sums of the Fourier series of a function may show a bad behavior, which may be very much ameliorated by the use of summability methods. Similarly, the difficulties with the direct form of the inversion formula (which works fine for “nice functions”) can be avoided by a suitable summability method.

Gábor analysis (or time-frequency analysis) has got into the focuse of interest in the last 20 years. Based on the idea of the Hungarian Dénes Gábor, in the wake of the works of Janssen, Daubechies, Feichtinger, Benedetto and Gröchenig, time-frequency analysis has been established itself as a separate, fertile branch of harmonic analysis. This topic is not really investigated in Hungary yet. Gábor analysis has a lot of links to real world applications, e.g. in image- and signal processing, in communication theory (mobile phones).

I would like to investigate (respectively to build a bridge between) the summations of Fourier series and the Gábor analysis. On the one hand, with the tools of Gábor analysis I would investigate the summations of Fourier series and Fourier transforms. On the other hand, I would apply the summability theory in Gábor analysis and consider the summations of Gábor series and transforms. This topic is new, only a few results can be found in the literature.
I plan to publish some paper in international journals.

Számos új eredményt értem el, 29 dolgozatom jelent meg referált nemzetközi szakfolyóiratokban, továbbá nemzetközi konferenciákon 10 előadást tartottam.

With the support of the foundation I have investigated and built a bridge between the summations of Fourier series and the Gábor analysis. With the tools of Gábor analysis I have investigated the summations of Fourier series and Fourier transforms. Moreover, I have applied the summability theory in Gábor analysis and have considered the summations of Gábor series and transforms. This topic is new, only a few results can be found in the literature. I have reached several new results, I have written 29 papers, that are already published in international journals. Moreover, I have given 10 lectures on international conferences.
