Fő célunk a részecskefizika szimmetriáinak kísérleti és elméleti tanulmányozása, kísérletileg az antiproton és proton tulajdonságainak összehasonlításával. Az antiproton tömegének mérési pontosságát antiprotonos héliumatom lézerspektroszkópiájával a héliumgáz hőmérsékleti mozgása korlátozza. Építettünk egy hűtőrendszert, amellyel 1.8 K alá jutottunk, és egyfotonos spktroszkópiával m,egmértük az antiproton tömegét 10^-9 pontossággel. Technikai hozzájárulásként részt vettünk az ELENA aniproton-tárológyűrű építésében. Nagy kvantumrendszerek időtükrözési szimmetriáját sértheti csatolódás a világegyetem többi részéhez vagy új fizika spontán dekoherenciával. Megvizsgáltuk a kapcsolódó nem-unitér kvantumdinamikát és lehetséges kísérleti ellenőrzését. Töltött részecskék ionizációját és szóródását vizsgáltuk klasszikus-trajektóriás Monte Carlo módszerrel. Referenciaadatokat szolgáltattunj egyszeres és kétszeres ionizációra az antiproton ütközési energiájának széles tartományában (3 kev - 1 MeV). Megszerveztük az "International Conference on Precision Physics and Fundamental Physical Constants (FFK-2015)", Budapest, 1October 2015. Results in English
We studied the symmetries in particle physics, the experiments comparing the properties of protons and antiprotons. The precision of measuring the mass of the antiproton using laser spectroscopy on antiprotonic helium atoms is limited by the thermal motion of the helium atom. We have built a cooling system which went down to temperatures below 1.8 K and it provided a precision of 10^-9 with single-laser spectroscopy. We measured spectra of antiprotonic atoms in superfluid helium. As a technical contribution we participated in building the ELENA ring for the post-deceleration of antiprotons of the Antiproton Decelerator. The time symmetry of large quantum systems can be violated by inevitable entanglement with the rest of the universe or by new physics of spontaneous decoherence. The mathematical structure of corresponding non-unitary quantum dynamics as well as possible experimental tests have been investigated. Ionization and scattering of charged particles was the main subject of theoretical calculations using the classical trajectory Monte Carlo method. We have provided reference data for the single and double total ionization cross sections for a wide range of antiproton impact energies (3keV – 1MeV).
