Az NK106119 Projektünk keretében elméleti és kísérleti tanulmányokat folytattunk nehézion ütközésekben, a CERN LHC ALICE együttműködés tagjaként. Alapkutatást és hardware/software fejlesztést végeztünk. 2012-2016 között 7 TeV és 13 TeV-en p+p, 5.02 ATeV-en p+Pb, 2.76 és 5.02 ATeV-en Pb+Pb ütközések kerültek elvégzésre az LHC-nél. Fő célunk a kísérleti adatok elemzése, a keletkezett kvark-gluon plazma fázis tulajdonságainak részletes vizsgálata volt. Tanulmányoztuk a jetek keletkezését, hadron korrelációkat, anizotróp áramlásokat, jet energia veszteséget, charm és bottom hadronok keletkezését és elnyomását. Megvizsgáltuk extrém erős terek kialakulását és a Királis Mágneses Effektus megjelenését LHC energián. Továbbfejlesztettük a HIJING MC-programot multiprocesszoros alkalmazásra. Üzemeltettük az adatfeldolgozó Tier-2 központot. Az LS1/LS2 alatt részt vettünk a felújítási programokban (DAQ rendszer és TPC). Folytatjuk a teljes ALICE DAQ monitorozását. Geofizikai alkalmazásra képes új típusú detektorokat fejlesztettünk ki (müon-tomográfia). Eredményeinket 60 tudományos cikkben publikáltuk, ebből 38 cikk referált (össz impakt faktor 160), 22 cikk konferencia proceedingsben jelent meg. Konferenciát, workshopokat és iskolákat szerveztünk a projekt ideje alatt.
Results in English
Our NK106119 Project focused on theoretical and experimental investigation of heavy ion collisions at CERN LHC ALICE Collaboration, including basic research and hardware/software R&D activities. During the time period of 2012-2016 p+p collisions were performed at 7 TeV and 13 TeV energies, p+Pb at 5.02 ATeV, Pb+Pb at 2.76 ATeV and 5.02 ATeV. Our main goal was to analyze experimental data and investigate the properties of the created quark-gluon plasma phase. We investigated jet production, hadron correlation, collective phenomena as anisotrop flow, jet energy loss in dense partonic matter, charm and bottom hadron production and suppression. Our results indicates the creation of QGP and different properties of the strongly interacting matter were determined. We studied extreme strong field formation in heavy ion collisions and the appearance of Chiral Magnetic Effect at LHC . We improved the HIJING Monte-Carlo model for multiprocessor application. We maintened the TIER-2 Computer station in Budapest. During LS1/LS2 we participated in the upgrade of the data aquisition system and the TPC detector. We continue to monitor the ALICE DAQ system. During detector R&D activity we developed new type of MWPC detectors, which are available for geophysical applications. The obtained results were published in 60 scientific papers, including 38 refereed ones (with impact factor 160) and 22 papers were published in conference proceedings. Workshops, Conferences and Schools were organized.
