A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A konferencia szervezője az International Geographical Union (IGU), amely a földrajztudomány globális zászlóshajó-szervezete. Célja a tudományos fórumok és műhelyek folyamatos szervezése, amellyel a geográfiai szakterületeken tevékenykedők összefogását, és az új kutatási eredmények integrálását, illetve disszeminációját teszi lehetővé. Kétévente megrendezett seregszemléje az IGU Congress, amely a földrajzi témájú szakmai találkozók csúcseseménye. A kongresszus az előadások, illetve az azokhoz kapcsolódó viták és tapasztalatcsere mellett a geográfia népszerűsítésével, a tudományos eredmények gyakorlati alkalmazási lehetőségeivel, valamint más szakmai programokkal (tanulmányutak, kerekasztal-beszélgetések, kiállítások stb.) járul hozzá a tudományos élet színvonalának és sokszínűségének erősítéséhez. Az eseményen szerzőként, önálló előadás keretében tervezem bemutatni új kutatási eredményeimet. Témám a lakóhelyi mobilitás és a lakhatási preferenciák kapcsán megjelenő etnikai tényező szerepének feltérképezése, hazai, kárpát-medencei, illetve más európai és tengerentúli példák ismertetésével. Magyarországon és külföldön egyaránt számos esetben komoly szerep jut az etnikai tényezőnek a migrációs döntések során, melyek hatást gyakorolnak az érintett települések vonzóképességére, valamint társadalmi- és ingatlanviszonyaira. Az előadás a témában megkezdett kutatásaim első tapasztalatait taglalja, és a továbbiakban meghatározóvá válhat a saját szakmai munkámon belül. A téma illeszkedik befogadó intézményem, a BME Urbanisztika Tanszék kutatási irányaihoz, illetve az ELTE Etnikai- és Vallásföldrajzi Műhely munkásságához is, amelynek szintén tagja vagyok.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. IGU) kétévente rendezi meg legnagyobb tudományos seregszemléjét, amelyen a földrajzi témákban járatos szakemberek, kutatók, oktatók és más érdeklődők vesznek részt. A konferencia célja a legújabb kutatások ismertetése és a szakmai, illetve a laikus közönség elé tárása. Az eseményen történő részvétel az előadások mellett a szakmai fejlődésre, a tapasztalatcserére, valamint az eredmények mindennapi életbe történő átültetésének lehetőségeire fókuszál. Szintén fontos hozadéka lehet egyéni és intézményi együttműködések előkészítése, amelyek később közös szakmai munkákban csúcsosodhatnak ki. A konferencián önálló előadást tartok, amely saját kutatási eredményeimet ismerteti. Témám a lakóhelyi mobilitás során érvényesülő etnikai tényező szerepének vizsgálata. Ennek keretében arra keresem a választ, hogy a migrációs folyamatban történő részvétel esetén, egyéni és közösségi döntéseink során mekkora szerepet játszik az, hogy a célterületen milyen etnikai, vallási és kulturális csoportok élnek. Mely esetekben tekintünk erre fontos szempontként, milyen települések kapcsán kerül előtérbe és hogyan befolyásolja a migrációban történő részvételünket? Mindez közelebb vihet minket a társadalmi folyamatok megértéséhez, illetve fontos információval szolgálhat a várostervezési, kulturális vagy oktatási szakpolitikák előkészítése során.
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The conference is organized by the International Geographical Union (IGU), a global flagship organization of geography. Its aim is the continuous organization of scientific forums and workshops, which makes possible for the geographical professionals to bring them together and to integrate and disseminate their new research results. Its biennial event is the IGU Congress, the most important meeting of geography professionals. In addition to presentations and related debates and exchanges of experience, the Congress contributes to enhancing the quality and diversity of scientific life through the promotion of geography, the practical application of scientific results and other professional programs (study tours, round tables, exhibitions, etc.). As an author at the event, I plan to show my new research results in the framework of an independent presentation. My topic is to examine the role of ethnic factor in relation to residential mobility and housing preferences, by presenting examples from Hungary, the Carpathian Basin, from the other parts of Europe and from North-America. In many cases, both in Hungary and abroad, the ethnic factor plays a significant role in migration decisions, which have an impact on the attractiveness and social and real estate conditions of the affected settlements. The presentation will show the first experiences of my research on the topic, and may become decisive in my own professional work in the future. The topic is also in line with the research directions of my host institution, the Department for Urban Planning and Design, BME, and the work of the ELTE Ethnic and Religious Geography Lab, of which I am also a member.

The aim of the conference is to show the contemporary research results and present them to professional and lay audiences. In addition to the presentations, participation in the event focuses on professional development, the exchange of experiences, and the possibilities of using the results in everyday life. An important benefit can also be the preparation of individual and institutional cooperation, which can later culminate in joint professional work. I will give an independent presentation at the conference, which will present my own research results. My topic is to examine the role of the ethnic factor in residential mobility. In this context, I am looking for the answer to the question: in our individual and community decisions how important is the role of ethnicity and cultural diversity of the target area when we participating in the migration process? In which cases do we consider this to be an important aspect, in relation to what kind of settlements does it come to the fore and how does it affect our participation in migration? All of this can bring us closer to understanding social processes and provide important information in the preparation of urban planning, cultural or educational policies.

A konferencia célja a legújabb kutatások ismertetése és a szakmai, illetve a laikus közönség elé tárása. Az eseményen történő részvétel az előadások mellett a szakmai fejlődésre, a tapasztalatcserére, valamint az eredmények mindennapi életbe történő átültetésének lehetőségeire fókuszál. Szintén fontos hozadéka az egyéni és intézményi együttműködések előkészítése, amelyek később közös szakmai munkákban csúcsosodhatnak ki.
A konferenciára önálló előadással készültem, mely saját kutatási eredményeimet ismertette. Témám a lakóhelyi mobilitás során érvényesülő etnikai tényező szerepének vizsgálata volt. As well as an important benefit is the preparation of individual and institutional cooperation, which can later culminate in joint professional work.
I gave an independent presentation at the conference, which presented my own research results. My topic was to examine the role of the ethnic factor in residential mobility. In this context, I was looking for the answer to the question: in our individual and community decisions how important is the role of ethnicity and cultural diversity of the target area when we participating in the migration process? All of this can bring us closer to understanding social processes and provide important information in the preparation of urban planning, cultural or educational policies. I gave this presentation at the conference and answered the professional questions that arose.
