Summary in Hungarian
A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése
Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében.

A „10th International Conference on Safety & Environment in Process & Power Industry” tudományos konferenciát az Olasz Vegyészmérnöki Szövetség (AIDIC) szervezi.

2020-ban könyvet írtam a vegyipari hulladékokról. (Tóth András József: Hulladékgazdálkodás a vegyiparban, Typotex Kiadó, ISBN 978 963 493 084 6). A konferencián szeretnék további szakmai anyagot gyűjteni az esetleges folytatáshoz. A projekt hozzájárul a nyílt tudomány hazai terjedéséhez is, mert a konferencia anyaga SCImago, illetve Scopus adatbázisokban jegyzett, open access tudományos folyóiratcikkben (Chemical Engineering Transactions) fog megjelenni.

A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára
Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről.

A „10th International Conference on Safety & Environment in Process & Power Industry” tudományos konferencia az Olasz Vegyészmérnöki Szövetség (AIDIC) által, 2 évente szervezett rendezvény, ahol az ipari és egyetemi szektor is képviselteti magát. A projektben végzett kutatás a saját szakterületemhez tartozik (vegyipari hulladékok), ezért a konferencián történő részvétel kimagaslóan hasznosnak mondható számomra a személyes szakmai életút szempontjából. A konferenciára történő előadói jelentkezésemet a szervezők már elfogadták. A jelenléti előadás mellett nyílt hozzáférésű (open access) tudományos publikáció is a részvételt képezi.

Konkrétan a sztrippelés és az égetés eljárásokat fogom vizsgálni a projektben a vegyipar folyékony szennyezőanyagainak kezelésében. Környezetközpontú folyamattervezési struktúrákat fogok bemutatni, továbbá az eljárások gazdasági és jogszabályi aspektusait is felvázolom. A kutatásban elvégzett feladatokat be szeretném építeni az egyetemi oktatásba szemináriumi előadások keretében, ami által kiszélesedik a hallgatók gyakorlati, műszaki szemlélete, vagyis az egyetemen is hasznosulni fognak az eredmények.

Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation
Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career.

The “10th International Conference on Safety & Environment in Process & Power Industry” is organized by the Italian Association of Chemical Engineers (AIDIC). It is held every 2 years. In terms of its theme, the event covers the environmental and safety aspects of the chemical industry and the process engineering and energy industries. This is the largest conference in Europe in this field, attended by a number of renowned industry partners and highly regarded researchers. The event aims to strengthen collaboration between industry partners and researchers. Italian researchers are also highly regarded in the field: Prof. Dr. Flavio Manenti, my research collaborator and head of the Computer Aided Process Engineering working group at EFCE (European Federation of Chemical Engineering).

I would like to inform you that I have already applied for the conference in advance and that my participation as presenter has been accepted. My research area and the theme of the conference fit together perfectly. I deal with the environmental aspects of the chemical industry, so it would be very useful for me to meet with industry partners and renowned researchers for my professional development. In 2020, I wrote a book on chemical waste. (András József Tóth: Waste Management in the Chemical Industry, Typotex Publishing House, ISBN 978 963 493 084 6). At the conference, I would like to gather additional professional material for a possible follow-up. The project also contributes to the spread of open science in Hungary, because the conference material will be published in an open access scientific journal article (Chemical Engineering Transactions) listed in SCImago and Scopus databases.

Summary and aims of the project for a general audience
Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results.

The “10th International Conference on Safety & Environment in Process & Power Industry” is a biennial event organized by the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDIC), where both the industrial and academic sectors are represented. The research carried out in the project belongs to my own field of expertise (chemical waste), so attending the conference can be said to be extremely useful for me in terms of my personal career. My presentation to the conference has already been accepted by the organizers. In addition to the attendance lecture, an open access scientific publication is also included.

Specifically, stripping and firing processes will be examined in the project for the treatment of liquid contaminants in the chemical industry. I will present environment-focused process design structures, as well as outline the economic and regulatory aspects of the procedures. I would like to integrate the tasks performed in the research into university education in the framework of seminar lectures, which broadens the students' practical and technical approach, i. e. the results will be utilized at the university as well.

A finomkémiai iparban, különösen a gyógyszeriparban a gyártástechnológia során nagy mennyiségű folyékony hulladék, illetve hulladékoldószer keletkezik. Az iparban használt különféle szerves anyagok, így az adszorbeálható szerves halogének (AOX) elkülönítése az ipari szennyvíztől fontos környezetvédelmi feladat. Ebben a kutatásban két technológiát hasonlítottam össze a technológiai hulladékvizek szerves anyagának újrahasznosításának/újrafelhasználásának vizsgálatára. A számítások professzionális folyamatszimulátor környezetben történtek. Az eredmények alapján megállapítható, hogy nincs szignifikáns különbség a szennyvíz kimeneti áramok elválasztási hatékonyságában. A desztillációs technológia esetén azonban a halogének újrafelhasználása a gyáron belül is lehetséges, így a környezetvédelem szempontjából ez a javasolt eljárás. A hasznosítási technológiák költségét is összehasonlítottam a hulladékégetéssel. Ezek a számítások is bizonyítják a kezelési módszerek hatékonyságát, mert a hasznosítási technológiákkal akár 85%-os csökkenést is el lehet elérni az égetéshez képest.

In the fine chemical industries, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, production technology generates large amounts of liquid waste and industrial waste solvents. Separation of various organic substances used in industry, such as adsorbable organic halides (AOX), from industrial wastewater is an important task of environmental protection. In this research, two technologies were compared to investigate the recycling/reuse of organic material of process wastewaters. The analysis was based on real case study from fine chemical industry. The separation efficiency, operational parameters and cost analysis were carried out to examine stripping and distillation technologies. The calculation was achieved in professional flowsheet simulator environment. According to the results, it can be determined there is no significant difference in separation efficiency of wastewater output streams. However, in the case of distillation technology, the reuse of halides can be possible inside the factory, so this is the recommended procedure for environmental protection. The cost of recovery technologies is also compared with waste incineration. These calculations also demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatment methods, because with recovery technologies it is possible to obtain a reduction of up to 85% compared to incineration.
