A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A németországi workshop egy évek óta tartó közös projekt részeként egyhetes közös munkát tesz lehetővé. A kutatás a posztmodern utáni állapotra fókuszál, ez ma a kortárs irodalom-és kultúratudomány egyik legizgalmasabb ága. A workshop célja, hogy a modern, a posztmodern és napjaink posztmodern utáni korszakának jellemzőit együttese vizsgálja. Szemléletében nem csupán felülről tekint a modern, a posztmodern és a poszt-posztmodern egymás utáni szakaszaira, de az egymást követő korszakok törései mellett azok kontinuitását igyekszik felmutatni. A workhop annak a 2000 körül kialakult irodalomnak a vizsgálatára épül, amely túllép ugyan a posztmodern paradigmáin, de kiindulópontnak tekinti annak bizonyos alapvetéseit, elsősorban a nyelv- és a nagy narratívák iránti kételyt. A posztmodern örökség ugyanakkor kiegészül a posztmodern előtti irodalom bizonyos szerepeinek felvállalásával: a szövegirodalomból való kilépéssel, a történetmesélés újraindításával vagy akár az etikai alapú megszólalással. A jelenség az európai és észak-amerikai irodalmakban egyaránt relevánsnak számít, ezt bizonyítja, hogy a csoport tagjai Kanadától Szlovákiáig vagy a Romániáig a Bloom-féle nyugati kánont lefedik. Az esemény nemzetközi viszonylatban is jelentős tudományos értékkel bír. A német Leibniz Intézet mellett a Paris III. a Szlovák Tudományos Akadémia munkatársai mellett lengyel és román kutatók vizsgálják közép-európai szemszögból is a posztmodern utáni kortárs európai és tengerentúli irodalmakat.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. Nyugat – Európában és Amerikában igen kurrens kutatási irány napjaink posztmodern utáni irodalmának a vizsgálata. A korszak megnevezésére számos kifejezés használatos: az "off-modern", a "poszt-posztmodern", a "metamodern" Napjaink irodalma és művészete kettős helyzetben van: egyrészt túllépett a korábbi posztmodernen, másrészt a posztmodern örökség, mely szinte egyszerre lett korstílus és stílusirány, megkerülhetetlenné vált. Az olvasási és kultúrafogyasztási szokások azt mutatják, hogy napjainkban a posztmodern alapvetések és az azoktól való eltávolodás egyszerre érvényes. A regényektől a televíziós sorozatokig egyszerre tér vissza a történetmesélés koherenciája és marad meg az elbeszélhetőség nehézségét mutató töredezettség. Napjaink irodalmában a posztmodernhez hasonlóan keverednek a kulturális szintek, erősek a populáris műfajok, azonban visszatérni látszik egy olyan etikai igény, amely a globális problémáktól (klímaválság, migráció, pandémia...stb) a regionális kérdések reprezentációjáig feléleszti a művészet hagyományos szerepeit. A beadott pályázat elfogadása azt segítené elő, hogy a németországi workshopon a magyar irodalomtudomány nézőpontjai megjelenjenek, s a tárgyalt szépirodalmi művek között jelen legyenek azok a szépirodalmi művek és teoretikus megközelítések, melyek az európai és amerikai paradigmákba is illeszkednek. A megtartandó workshop előadási és hozzászólásai nemcsak arra nyújtanak alkalmat, hogy az irodalmi művek művelődésszociológiai hatásmechanizmusait, az irodalmi tradíciókhoz való viszonyát ...stb. feltérképezzük, de arra is, hogy a nyugati kultúrkör napjainkban is meglévő párhuzamos tendenciáiban a magyar irodalmat erőteljesebben megjelenítsük.

Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) is going to organise during the summer of 2022 an international workshop in Heringsdorf, Germany. It is part of a long cooperation: the group of the researchers has been working together for many years. The event in question would be the fourth workshop and it would allow the guests to work in a scientific institute, isolated from the world for a whole week. The researches focus on today’s post-postmodern state of literature and culture. Nowadays this subject is one of the most exciting directions of literary and cultural studies. The aim of the workshop is to examine the characteristic signs of the modern, postmodern and post-postmodern era of today, with a special regard to the Central European aspects. Since the epimodern approach looks from above at the successive stages of the modern, the postmodern and the post-postmodern, and it seeks to show their continuity in addition to the fractures of the successive eras, it is considered to be able to represent the fragmented historical and literary experiences in Central Europe. The examined literary works have developed around 2000. They go beyond postmodern paradigms, though they take the doubts about capacity of language and the master-narratives. But this sort of literature has overstepped the textual literature, regaining the storytelling, and recuperating the ethical way of speaking. These phenomena are considered relevant in both European and North American literature, as it is evidenced by the fact that the members of the group cover the Western canon’s cultures and countries of Harold Bloom’s theory from Canada to Slovakia or Romania. The event will have a major scientific value. The characteristics of the contemporary European and overseas literatures will be defined by the scholars of the German Leibniz Institute, the Sorbonne - Paris III and the researchers of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Polish and Romanian universities.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. Studying today's post-postmodern literature is a very current research direction in the European and North-American science. Many terms are used to describe the era in question: "off-modern", "post-postmodern", "metamodern" and so on. Literature and art are in a dual position nowadays: on the one hand it has gone beyond the former postmodern, on the other hand the postmodern heritage, has become unavoidable. The change of the reading and the other cultural activities prove that the postmodern fundamentals and some strict distances from them are simultaneously valid today. The novels, the short-story-books, the movies just as the television series show that the coherence of storytelling seems to return, while the deliberate fragmentation makes unequivocal that the coherence of narration remains problematic, moreover impossible. In today’s art and literature, just like during the postmodern era, the cultural levels are mixed, the popular genres are strong; though the literary forms and ways of speaking are filled up with a new ethical need reviving the traditional roles. The literature reacts to global problems (climate crisis, migration, pandemic, etc.) just as to regional crises. The acceptance of the submitted application would help to present the Hungarian literary works such as the Hungarian literary study’s perspectives at the workshop in Germany. The lectures and the discussions will be the base of the written versions of the conference volume that is to be published.

A németországi szeminárium vagy workshop egy évek óta tartó közös kutatás része volt, mely a kortárs nyugati világirodalom jelen, posztmodern utáni állapotára fókuszál.
A nemzetközi viszonylatban is jelentős eseményt Stephan Krause, a német GWZO kutatóintézet tudományos főmunkatársa szervezte, s jelen volt a csoport alapító teoretikusa, Emmanuel Bouju, a Harvard és a Sorbonne (Paris III. ) professzora.
A munka annak a 2000 körül kialakult irodalomképnek a vizsgálatát célozza meg, amely túllép a posztmodern paradigmáin, de kiindulópontnak tekinti a posztmodern bizonyos alapvetéseit, elsősorban a nyelv- és a nagy narratívák iránti kételyt. Ez a fajta irodalom ugyanakkor kiegészül a posztmodern előtti korszak bizonyos szerepeinek felvállalásával: a szövegirodalomból való kilépéssel, a történetmesélés újraindításával vagy akár az etikai alapú megszólalással. A jelenség az európai és észak-amerikai irodalmakban egyaránt relevánsnak számít.
Az előadások a kortárs nemzeti irodalmak reprezentáns műveinek ismertetéséből kiindulva igyekeztek olyan általános jelenségeket felmutatni, melyek a közös európai trendbe illeszkedve megőrzik a különböző történelmi-kulturális hagyományú európai régiók karaktereit. Az osztrák, német, szlovák, francia, angol, olasz, szerb, horvát, magyar irodalmak, és azokon belül a különböző műnemek eltérő reprezentációs lehetőségei is a workshop témáját képezték.

The seminar and workshop was part of a several year-long research project focusing on the present, post-postmodern state of contemporary Western literature. It was organised by Stephan Krause, senior research fellow of GWZO. Founding theorist of epimodernism, Emmanuel Bouju, Professor at Harvard and Sorbonne (Paris III), also participated in the discussions.
The workshop examined literary works written since and around the year 2000. The books in question transcend the paradigms of postmodernism but also retain certain fundamental assumptions of it, especially the doubt towards language and the master narratives. At the same time, this kind of literature is complemented by an assumption of certain roles from the modern era: it gets far from the so called „textual literature”, it re-invented the story-telling, and it has a solid ethically based voice. These phenomena are relevant in both European and North American literatures.
Most contributions of the participants were based on representative books of contemporary national literatures of Europe. The aim of the readings and the discussions was to present general features common in European literatures, just as the differences coming from the European regions’ various historical-cultural traditions. The different possibilities of representation in Austrian, German, Slovak, French, English, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Hungarian literatures and the representation of reality by different genres were also the subject of the discussions.
