Summary in Hungarian A projekt keretében támogatott nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása
Mutassa be a szervezés alatt álló nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, programját, célcsoportját és jelentőségét a nemzetközi, illetve hazai tudományos élet szempontjából.
A tervezett konferenciát három világhírű magyar matematikus 70-edik illetve 80-adik születésnapja alkalmából szervezzük.
A konferencia célja egy magas tudományos színvonalú rendezvénnyel köszönteni neves professzorainkat. A felkért plenáris előadók, akik előzetesen vállalták a részvételt a világ elitjébe tartozó kutatók a számelmélet különböző területein: Jan-Hendrik Evertse és Robert Tijdeman (Leiden University), Yann Bugeaud (University of Strasbourg); Cecile Dartyge (University of Lorraine), Joël Rivat (Aix-Marseille University), Mike Bennett (University of British Columbia), Cam Stewart (University of Waterloo), Daniel Goldston (San José State University), Henryk Iwaniec (Rutgers University), Igor Shparlinski (University of New South Wales), Robert Tichy (TU Graz), Arne Winterhof (Johann Radon Institute), Cem Yalçın Yıldırım (Bogaziçi University), Jerzy Kaczorowski (Poznan University), Alberto Perelli (University of Genoa), Révész Szilárd (Rényi Intézet), Pethő Attila és Pintér Ákos (Debreceni Egyetem).
Ők a délelőtti ülésszakokban tartanának előadást a közelmúltban elért legfontosabb eredményeikről, melyek kapcsolódnak az ünnepeltek munkásságához. A délutáni ülésszakokban párhuzamos szekcióelőadásokat tervezünk, ahol a résztvevők 20 perces előadásokat tarthatnak.
A konferencián széles nemzetközi részvételre számítunk, pl. az alábbi országokból: Hollandia, Franciaország, Kanada, USA, Ausztrália:, Ausztria, Törökország, Lengyelország, Olaszország, India, Kína, Dél-Afrika, Németország, Japán, Szlovákia, Horvátország, Oroszország, Románia, Izrael, Egyesült Királyság, Svájc, Litvánia, Görögország, Szerbia és természetesen Magyarország.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára
Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a szervezés alatt álló nemzetközi rendezvényről és annak várható eredményeiről.
A tervezett konferenciát három világhírű magyar matematikus 70-edik illetve 80-adik születésnapja alkalmából szervezzük. Eredetileg 2020-ban lett volna aktuális, de a pandémia miatt elhalasztottuk a rendezvényt. Véleményünk szerint a magyar átoltottsági adatok lehetővé teszik a konferencia 2022-ben történő megrendezését, és vélhetően a részvevők is oltottak lesznek addig.
A konferencia célja egy magas tudományos színvonalú rendezvénnyel köszönteni neves professzorainkat. A felkért plenáris előadók, akik előzetesen vállalták a részvételt a világ elitjébe tartozó kutatók a számelmélet különböző területein. Ők a délelőtti ülésszakokban tartanának előadást a közelmúltban elért legfontosabb eredményeikről. Cam Stewart, Pintér Ákos és Révész Szilárd külön felkérés alapján az ünnepeltek eddigi tudományos életművét bemutató előadást fognak tartani.
A délutáni ülésszakokban párhuzamos szekcióelőadásokat tervezünk, ahol a résztvevők 20 perces előadásokat tarthatnak. Az előadások absztraktját a konferencia magas színvonalának biztosítása céljából tudományos bizottságunk lektorálni fogja. Kifejezetten bátorítjuk és támogatjuk a fiatal kutatók, PhD hallgatók előadásra való jelentkezését.
Az Erdős Pál által teremtett hagyományokat követve probléma szekciót szervezünk a konferencia végén, ahol a nemzetközi elitbe tartozó kutatók várhatóan olyan nyitott kérdéseket vetnek fel, amelyek kutatási témát nyújthatnak érdeklődő fiatal kutatók számára.
| Summary Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event supported in the project
Present the type, purpose, agenda, targeted audience, and significance of the international event organized in the international and domestic scientific community.
The planned conference is organized on the occassion of the 70th and 80th birthdays of three world-famous Hungarian mathematicians. The purpose of the conference is to greet our renowned professors with a high scientific quality event.
The invited plenary speakers, who have agreed in advance to particapte, are researchers from the elite of the world in various fields of number theory: Jan-Hendrik Evertse and Robert Tijdeman (Leiden University), Yann Bugeaud (University of Strasbourg), Cecile Dartyge (University of Lorraine), Joël Rivat (Aix-Marseille University), Mike Bennett (University of British Columbia), Cam Stewart (University of Waterloo), Daniel Goldston (San José State University), Henryk Iwaniec (Rutgers University), Igor Shparlinski (University of New South Wales), Robert Tichy (TU Graz), Arne Winterhof (Johann Radon Institute), Cem Yalçın Yıldırım (Bogaziçi University), Jerzy Kaczorowski (Poznan University), Alberto Perelli (University of Genoa, Szilárd Révész (Rényi Institute), Attila Pethő and Ákos Pintér (University of Debrecen).
They would give a presentation in the morning sessions on their most important recent results related to the work of the celebrated colleagues. We plan parallel sessions in the afternoons where the participants can give 20 minute contributed talks.
We expect a wide international participation in the conference for instance from The Netherlands, France, Canada, USA, Australia, Austria, Turkey, Poland, Italy, India, China, South Africa, Germany, Japan, Slovakia, Croatia, Russia, Romania, Israel, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Lithuania, Greece, Serbia and of course Hungary.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience
Provide a short, general introduction to the international event organized and its expected results.
The planned conference is organized on the occassion of the 70th and 80th birthdays of three world-famous Hungarian mathematicians.
This event would originally have been current in 2020 but we postponed it due to the pandemic. In our opinion, the Hungarian data of vaccination will allow that the conference can be held in 2022 and presumably the participants will be vaccinated by this time, too.
The purpose of the conference is to greet our renowned professors with an excellent scientific quality event. The invited plenary speakers, who have agreed in advance to particapte, are mathematicians from the elite of the world in various fields of number theory. They would give a presentation in the morning sessions on their most important recent results. Cam Stewart, Ákos Pintér and Szilárd Révész, on request, will give a laudation presenting the scientific oeuvre of the celebrated professors so far.
We plan parallel sessions in the afternoons where the participants can give 20 minute contributed talks. The scientific committee will review the abstracts of the talks to ensure the high quality of the conference. We especially encourage and support the application of young researchers and PhD students for a contributed talk.
Following the traditions created by Pál Erdős we will organize a so-called Problem Session at the end of the conference where the researchers who belong to the international elite are expected to ask such open questions that can provide a research topic for intrested young mathematicians.
