A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A rendezvény célja a mediterrán térség jelentős kórokozóival folalkozó kutatók eredményeinek prezentálása, az információk cseréje és esetleges nemzetközi együttműködés megalapozása. A szervezők a Mediterranean Phytopathological Union, Cyprus University of Technology. Az előbbi a témára szakosodott kutatói szerveződés az utóbbi pedig felsőoktatási intézmény. A rendezvényen előadás formájában teszem közzé tudományos eredményeimet. Kutatási területem a szőlő fertőző tőkepusztulás és más faszöveti növénybetegségek vizsgálata, az okozó fajok és az ellenük alkalmazható ágensek azonosítása, illetve az utóbbiak felhasználása lehetséges növényvédelmi eljárások kidolgozásához. A konferencia szélesebb tematikája is kiválóan illeszkedik saját kutatásaimhoz és előadásomhoz, azonban a konferencián külön szekciót szervez a „The International Council on Grapevine Trunk Diseases” szervezet, mely célzottan ezen terület világszinten prominens kutatóit tömöríti. Reményeim szerint kutatásaim ismertetésén túl nemzetközi együttműködések alapját is szolgálhatja a konferncián való részvételem. A konferencián való előadás továbbá előnyt jelent a Q1-Q2 minősítésű lapokba való publikáláshoz.

Kutatási területem a szőlő fertőző tőkepusztulás és más faszöveti növénybetegségek vizsgálata, az okozó fajok és az ellenük alkalmazható ágensek azonosítása, illetve az utóbbiak felhasználása lehetséges növényvédelmi eljárások kidolgozásához. Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The aim of the event is to present the results of researchers working with major pathogens in the Mediterranean region, to exchange information and to establish possible international cooperation. The organizers are the Mediterranean Phytopathological Union, a research organization specialized to the subject and the Cyprus University of Technology, an institution of higher education. I will publish my scientific results in the form of oral presentation at the event. My research field is the study of grapevine trunk diseases, the identification of the causative species and the agents that can be used against them, and the development of possible plant protection methods based on these promising biocontrol agents. Both the broader topic of the conference, and the special section organized by “The International Council on Grapevine Trunk Diseases” is on my own research field. the conference specifically brings together world-renowned researchers especially on Grapevine Trunk Diseases. In addition to presenting my research, the participation in the conference can also provide outstanding possibility to build international collaborations. Presentation at the conference is also an advantage for publication in Q1-Q2 rated papers.

Tizenhatodik alkalommal került megrendezésre a Mediterranean Phytopathological Union konferenciája a tervezettnél két évvel később, Cipruson, Limassolban, 140 regisztrált résztvevővel április 4 és 8 között. Már az első napon sok korábbi közös munkák illetve pályázatok révén megismert kutatóval találkoztunk. Köztük volt a Council on Grapevine Trunk Diseases” (ICGTD) több tagja is. Munkacsoportunk két előadást mutatott be. Április 6-án, délelőtt került sor Karaffa Erzsébet az „Endophytic Trichoderma spp. from Hungarian grapevines with biocontrol potential” c. előadására (Csilla Kovács, András Csótó, Károly Pál, Antal Nagy, Erzsébet Fekete, Levente Karaffa, Christian P. Kubicek, Erzsébet Sándor) a „Biocontrol, natural compounds and plant defense stimulants” szekcióban. Másnap az én előadásomban hangzott el a „The effect of extreme weather conditions on the incidence and spreading of grapevine trunk diseases” (András Csótó, Péter Balling, Nándor Rakonczás, Antal Nagy, Csilla Kovács, Erzsébet Sándor) a „Wood diseases in tree crops” szekcióban. Néhány előadás a karanténszabályok miatt online került bemutatásra, illetve a szekciókat is lehetett online követni.

The Mediterranean Phytopathological Union conference was held for the sixteenth time, two years later than planned, in Limassol, Cyprus, with 140 registered participants between April 4 and 8. Already on the first day, we met many researchers we had met through previous joint works and tenders. Among them were several members of the Council on Grapevine Trunk Diseases (ICGTD). Our working group presented two researches. On the morning of April 6, Erzsébet Karaffa presented the "Endophytic Trichoderma spp. from Hungarian grapevines with biocontrol potential" (Csilla Kovács, András Csótó, Pál Károly, Antal Nagy, Erzsébet Fekete, Levente Karaffa, Christian P. Kubicek, Sándor Erzsébet) in the "Biocontrol, natural compounds and plant defense stimulants" section. The next day, in my presentation, "The effect of extreme weather conditions on the incidence and spreading of grapevine trunk diseases" (András Csótó, Péter Balling, Nándor Rakonczás, Antal Nagy, Csilla Kovács, Sándor Erzsébet) and "Wood diseases in tree crops ” section.
