A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A gyümölcs és zöldség tárolása során a legnagyobb gazdasági veszteséget a különböző posztharveszt patogének okozzák. A tárolási veszteségek elkerülése érdekében az International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology konferencia minden évben megvitatja, hogy a betakarított gyümölcsök és zöldségek tárolása során fellépő növénykórtani problémáival kapcsolatosan mik a legújabb tudományos eredmények és védekezési lehetőségek. A konferenciát az International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), az International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP) szervezet rendezi, amely a legrangosabb nemzetközi konferenciának számít a posztharvesztes kutatási témakörben. A konferencia olyan témákra fókuszál, mint pl. új technológiák keresése a gazda-kórokozó kölcsönhatások tanulmányozására, különböző technológiák a betakarítás utáni betegségek kezelésére, vagy különböző alternatív módszerek a betakarítás utáni betegségek ellenőrzésében. A fogyasztás tekintetében a fogyasztói kereslet, élelmiszerveszteségek és marketingstratégiák, a környezet szempontjából pedig a betakarítás utáni veszteségek és a hulladékgazdálkodás témakör kerül megbeszélésre. A megpályázott konferencia részvétel nagyban hozzájárulna kutatói munkám szakmai fejlesztéséhez, mert kutatásom (Meggy pre- és posztharveszt technológiáját meglapozó kutatások) szorosan kapcsolódik a konferencia témájához. A konferencia részvételem alkalmával előadás vagy poszteres előadás tartásán túl (The possibilities for Hungarian sour cherries for storage and elongation of fresh consumption), számos olyan kutatást ismerhetek meg, ami a későbbiekben segítheti munkámat.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. A betakarított gyümölcsök legnagyobb veszteségét a tárolás során fellépő tárolási betegségek okozzák. A minőségromlás és a tárolási veszteségek mellett a patogén gombákkal fertőzött gyümölcsök komoly veszélyt jelenthetnek az egészségre, mivel számos gombanemzetség, például az Aspergillus, Alternaria, Fusarium vagy a Penicillium mikotoxinokat termel. A legáltalánosabb mód ezen patogének védekezése ellen, a szüret előtti kémiai növényvédőszeres kezelés. A betakarítás után posztharveszt technológiák adnak lehetőséget a polcállóság meghosszabbítására, azonban betakarítást követően gombaölő szerekkel való kezelés nem engedélyezett. A kémiai növényvédőszerrel kezelt gyümölcsökben és azok felületein szermaradványok maradhatnak, emellett a nagyfokú növényvédőszer használata miatt egyre több kórokozó lesz rezisztens a fungicidekkel szemben. Egyre több kutatás keres alternatív megoldásokat a posztharveszt betegségekkel szemben, emellett további cél csökkenteni a tárolás során fellépő veszteségeket, és biztonságos technológiát kifejleszteni a (vegyszermentes) gyümölcs és zöldség iránt növekvő fogyasztói igények miatt. Az International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology konferencia során új tudományos eredményeket lehet meghallgatni, amelyeknek célja, hogy csökkentse az élelmiszerveszteségeket, illetve a növényvédőszerek használatának a mennyiségét. Konferencia részvételem során előadás vagy poszteres előadás tartásán túl (The possibilities for Hungarian sour cherries for storage and elongation of fresh consumption), számos olyan kutatást ismerhetek meg, ami a későbbiekben segítheti munkámat (Meggy pre- és posztharveszt technológiáját meglapozó kutatások).
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. During the storage of fruit and vegetables, the largest economic loss is caused by various postharvest pathogens. To avoid storage losses, the International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology conference each year discusses the latest research results and control options for the phytopathological problems encountered in the storage of harvested fruits and vegetables. The conference is organized by the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP), the most prestigious international conference on post-harvest research. The conference will focus on topics such as search for new technologies to study host-pathogen interactions, different technologies to treat post-harvest diseases, or different alternative methods to control post-harvest diseases. The applied conference participation would greatly contribute to the professional development of my research work, because my research (research on pre- and post-harvest technology of sour cherries) is closely related to the topic of the conference. Through my participation in the conference, in addition to giving an oral presentation or a poster presentation (The possibilities for Hungarian sour cherries for storage and elongation of fresh consumption), I can learn about a number of researches that may help my work in the future.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. The largest loss of harvested fruit is caused by storage diseases that occur during storage. In addition to quality decay and storage losses, fruits infected with pathogenic fungi can pose a serious health risk as many fungal genera such as Aspergillus, Alternaria, Fusarium or Penicillium produce mycotoxins. The most common way to control these pathogens is pre-harvest chemical pesticide treatment. After harvest post-harvest technologies provide an opportunity to extend shelf life, however, post-harvest treatment with fungicides is not permitted. Residues may remain in fruits and their surfaces treated with chemical pesticides, and the use of high levels of pesticides will make more and more pathogens resistant to fungicides. More and more research is looking for alternatives to post-harvest diseases, with the additional goal of reducing storage losses and developing safe technology due to the growing consumer demand for (chemical-free) fruits and vegetables. At the International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology, new scientific findings can be heard aimed at reducing food losses and the use of pesticides. In addition to giving an oral presentation or a poster presentation (The possibilities for Hungarian sour cherries for storage and elongation of fresh consumption) during my participation in the conference, I can learn about a number of researches that can help my work in the future (research on cherry pre- and post-harvest technology).

2022 május 29-i kezdéssel részt vettem a Ciprusi Agrártudományi, Biotechnológiai és Élelmiszertudományi Tanszék által szervezett „International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology” elnevezésű nemzetközi konferencián, amely immár a 6. alkalommal került megrendezésre. A rendezvény további szervezői közé tartoztak, az International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) és az International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP) szervezetek is.
A megrendezett konferencia célja a betakarított gyümölcsök és zöldségek tárolása során fellépő növénykórtani problémáival kapcsolatos legújabb tudományos eredmények és védekezési lehetőségek bemutatása, valamint a kutatók közötti kapcsolatépítés elősegítése.

Starting on May 29, 2022, I participated in the international conference called "International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology" organized by the Cyprus Department of Agricultural Science, Biotechnology and Food Science, which was held for the 6th time. Other organizers of the event included the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and the International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP).
The purpose of the organized conference is to present the latest scientific results and control options related to phytopathological problems of harvested fruits and vegetables during storage, as well as to promote the building of relationships between researchers.
I participated in the conference as a poster speaker with the following title:
