A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A Leibniz Institut für Geschichte und Kultur des östlichen Europa (GWZO) nemzetközi angol nyelvű workshopot szervez The Epimodern Condition IV munkacímmel 2022 nyarán a németországi Heringsdorf melletti Gut Siggenben. A workshop célja, hogy összehasonlító jelleggel tárgyalja a kortárs nemzeti irodalmakon átívelő egységes tendenciákat és folyamatokat. A projekt résztvevői egy új elmélet kidolgozásában vesznek részt, mely alkalmas arra, hogy a posztmodern utáni irodalmat a modern és a posztmodern összefüggésében vizsgálja. Az Emmanuel Bouju professzor által bevezetett epimodern fogalom egy szemléletet jelent, amely az egymást követő három korszakhoz nem a törések, hanem a kontinuitás felől közelít és a jelenkor irodalmát ezek összefüggésében ragadja meg. Mivel a nyugat-európai kultúrkörtől Közép-Európán át Kanadáig ugyanazok vagy nagyon hasonló jelenségek figyelhetők meg napjaink irodalmában, szükséges egy olyan elméleti keret megteremtése, amellyel ezek a folyamatok, jelenségek sziszetmatizálva megragadható és leírhatók. A 2019. évben, a franciaországi Rennes-ben létrejött Epimodern Research Alliance (ERA) nemzetközi kutatócsoport alapító tagja vagyok, kutatási területem az osztrák irodalom. A külföldi együttműködő tagok a Sorbonne, a GZWO, a Szlovák Tudományos Akadémia, a University of British Columbia intézmények kutatói. A workshopon előadóként a XXI. századi osztrák irodalomról szóló előadással veszek részt. Előadásommal a kortárs osztrák irodalmat helyezem nemzetközi kontextusba és hozzájárulok annak új, epimodern perspektívából történő vizsgálatához. Kutatásaimmal kapcsolódom az ERA munkájába és a germanisztikában is igyekszem meghonosítani a fenti szemléletet. Részvételemmel nemzetközi kutatói kapcsolataimat is bővítem.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. A Leibniz Institut für Geschichte und Kultur des östlichen Europa (GWZO) által 2022-re szervezett The Epimodern Condition IV. c. workshop célja, hogy meghonosítsa az Emmanuel Bouju professzor által a XXI. századi irodalom vizsgálatára megalkotott epimodern fogalmat. Az epimodern nézőpont felülről tekint a modern és posztmodern egymásutániságára és a posztmodern és a posztmodernt követő korszakok törései helyett azok kontinuitását igyekszik megteremteni. A kortárs, posztmodern utáni irodalmi korszak meghatározására számos kísérlet történik mind a magyar, mind az európai tudományban, jelenleg ez az irodalomtudomány egyik legkurrensebb kutatási iránya. Mivel a nyugat-európai kultúrkörtől Közép-Európán át Kanadáig ugyanazok vagy nagyon hasonló jelenségek figyelhetők meg napjaink irodalmában, szükség van olyan elméletekre, amelyekkel ezek a jelenségek megragadhatók és leírhatók. Kutatásaim révén hozzájárulok ahhoz, hogy mind a magyarországi, mind a nemzetközi germanisták megismerhessék az új elméletet.

Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) is organising in the summer of 2022 an international workshop under the working title The Epimodern Condition IV. The location of the workshop is Gut Siggen in Heringsdorf, Germany. The workshop aims at the comparative discussion of common tendencies and processes reaching beyond contemporary national literatures. The members of the project are working out a new theory to examine literature after the postmodern in close connection to the modern and postmodern periods. The Epimodern Research Alliance (ERA) is using the notion epimodern created by professor Emmanuel Bouju. Epimodern is an approach that looks at the epochs modern, postmodern and post postmodern as a continuity and not as antagonistic periods and tries to grasp contemporary literature in this context. In the literatures of eastern and western Europe aswell as in that of the USA and Canada there are very similar phenomena which create the need for a theoretical frame appropriate for their definition and systematic description. As one of the founding memebers of the international research group ERA (Epimodern Research Alliance) I am taking part with a talk on contemporary Austrian literature. Members of the ERA are scholars from Sorbonne University, the GZWO, the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the University of British Columbia, Eötvös Loránd Kutatói Hálózat (ELKH), Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary and the University of Szeged. With my participation I am contributing to the project of the ERA and I intend to establish this new perspective on literature within German and Austrian Studies. Furhtermore the project helps to build new contacts within the international scientific community.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. The Leibniz Institute the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) is organising an international workshop under the working title The Epimodern Condition IV. The aim of the workshop is to work out a theoretical frame based on the notion epimodern, created by professor Emmanuel Bouju to investigate contemporary (21th century) literature. Epimodern is an approach which looks at the continuity of the modern, the postmodern and the post postmodern periods from above to show the connections of them instead of insisting on differences and breaks. It is one of the current aims of today's literary studies in East and West Europe aswell as in the USA and Canada to define the epoch following the postmodern. The reason for these kind of research is the existence of very similar phenomena in the national literatures of all these regions. Thereforee there is a need for theories that are able to grasp and describe these phenomena. With my participation I intend to establish this new perspective on literature within German and Austrian Studies in Hungary and in Europe aswell.

A Leibniz Institut für Geschichte und Kultur des östlichen Europa (GWZO) nemzetközi angol nyelvű workshopot szervezett Epimodernism anf the Canon címmel 2023. márc. 9. és márc. 14. között Németországban, Siggenben. A workshop összehasonlító jelleggel tárgyalta a kortárs nemzeti irodalmakon átívelő egységes tendenciákat és folyamatokat. “Lord: it is time.” Is There a Temporal Turn in Epimodern Literature? c. nyitóelőadásomban Christoph Ransmayr egy regénye kapcsán vizsgáltam az idő fogalmát és az időkezelés problematikáját. A workshop résztvevőinek kb. fele évek óta szakmai kapcsolatban áll, közösen szerveztek konferenciákat. A nemzetközi kutatócsoport alapító tagjaként továbbra is aktív résztvevője vagyok az együttműködésnek. Kutatási területemen az elhangzó előadásokból, hozzászólásokból számos hasznos megközelítést tudok felhasználni a kutatásban és oktatásban egyaránt.

The Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) organized an international workshop under the title Epimodernism and the Canon from 9/3/2023 to 14/3/2023. The event took place in Siggen, Germany. The workshop aimed at the comparative discussion of common tendencies and processes reaching beyond contemporary national literatures. In my keynote speech “Lord: it is time.” Is There a Temporal Turn in Epimodern Literature? I dealt with the notion and handling of time in Christoph Ransmayr's novel Cox or The Course of Time. About 50% of the participants has been cooperating and organizing conferences for several years. As a funding member of the international research group I will be an active participant in the cooperation for the coming years. I will be able to profit from the lectures and comments in research and teaching aswell.
