A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. Az EuroBIC a bioszervetlen kémiai kutatásokat felölelő legfontosabb európai konferencia, melyet a Bioszervetlen Kémikusok Társasága (SBIC) rendez kétévente. A 2022-es kiemelt fontossággal bír, mivel 2019-ben volt az utolsó, Bioszervetlen kémiai társaság által megrendezett fizikai konferencia, így nemzetközi szinten is nagy érdeklődés várható a 2022 Július 17 és 21 köz megrendezett EuroBIC 16 iránt. Sok új eredmény kerül bemutatásra, sokat változott az elmúlt 3 évben a kutatások irányvonala, így a részvétel nagyon fontos, hogy naprakészek maradhassunk, új kutatási együttműködéseket köthessünk. Emellett lehetőség lenne kerekasztalbeszélgetésekre minden nemzetközi együttműködő partnereinkkel (Prof. Wojciech Bal, Dr. Petr Bouř, Prof Artur Krężel, Dr. Pantcheva Ivayla) az eddig elért eredményekről a cinkujj fehérjék, és monenzin antibiotikum és fémionok kölcsönhatását illető két projekt esetén. A konferencia során bemutatom legújabb eredményeink, hogy milyen módon befolyásolják a toxikus, soft-karakterű fémionok (Ag(I), Cd(II), Hg(II)) a cinkujj fehérjék és DNS kölcsönhatását. Minimum egy angol nyelvű posztert fogok bemutatni, de amennyiben a konferencia szervezői érdemesnek találnak rá, angol nyelvű előadás keretei közt a fiatal kutatók szekciójában szeretnék prezentálni (Young Researcher Presentations).
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. Kutatásunk során egy létfontosságú, emberekben is előforduló fehérjének (cinkujj fehérje) a működését tanulmányozzuk toxikus fémionok jelenlétében mint például Higany(II). Az ilyen kutatásokat bemutató legfontosabb európai konferencia az EuroBIC, amit a Bioszervetlen Kémiai Egyesület (SBIC) szervez kétévente. Célok: - Eredmények bemutatása angol nyelven poszter vagy előadás formájában. - Egyeztetés külföldi együttműködő partnerekkel a jelenleg futó projektjeinkkel kapcsolatban.
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. EuroBIC is the most important European conference on bio-inorganic chemical research, organized every two years by the Society of Bio-Inorganic Chemists (SBIC). 2022 is especially important, since the last physical conference was held by the Bioorganic Chemical Society in 2019, so there will be great international interest in EuroBIC 16, which will be held between 17 and 21 July 2022. Many new results will be presented, the direction of research has changed a lot in the last 3 years, so participation is very important so that we can stay up to date and enter into new research collaborations. In addition, there would be an opportunity for roundtable discussions with all our international partners (Prof. Wojciech Bal, Dr. Petr Bouř, Prof. Artur Krężel, Dr. Pantcheva Ivayla) on the results achieved so far for the two projects on the interaction of zinc finger proteins and monensin antibiotics and metal ions.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. In our research, we study the function of a vital protein that occurs in humans (zinc finger protein) in the presence of toxic metal ions such as Mercury (II). The most important European conference to present such research is EuroBIC, organized by the Association of Bioinorganic Chemistry (SBIC) every two years. Goals: - Presentation of results in English in the form of a poster or lecture. - Consultation with foreign cooperating partners regarding our current projects.

A Mecenatúra projektnek köszönhetően részt vehettem a 16. EuroBIC nemzetközi konferencián, ahol a koordinációs és bioszervetlen kémia több, mint 400 kutatója volt jelen a világ minden tájáról. Itt lehetőségem volt megismerni a tudományterületünk legújabb eredményeit.
Feltörekvő tématerületnek bizonyult a mesterséges DNS és RNS molekulák és fémionok közti kölcsönhatások vizsgálata. Emellett megfigyelhettem, hogy az egyes kutatók, hogyan illesztik be kutatási profiljukba a legújabb fehérjeszerkezet becslő programokat és mérési technikákat (AlphaFold, Cryo-EM), amik igen nagy lökést jelenthetnek a biokoordinációs kémiai kutatások területén.
Sikerült pár új együttműködést kötnünk, és a konferencia lehetőséget biztosított rá, hogy számos meglévő együttműködő partnerünkkel tudjunk személyesen is egyeztetni a jövőbeli terveinkről.
A poszter szekcióban bemutathattam a saját kutatási eredményeim és több hasznos tanácsot is kaptam, a jövőbeli kísérleteimmel kapcsolatban.
Results in English
Thanks to the Mecenátura project, I was able to participate in the 16th EuroBIC international conference, where more than 400 researchers of coordination and bioinorganic chemistry from all over the world were present. Here I had the opportunity to get to know the latest results of our scientific field.
The investigation of interactions between artificial DNA and RNA molecules and metal ions has proven to be an emerging topic. I could observe how researcherapply the latest protein structure estimation programs and measurement techniques (AlphaFold, Cryo-EM) into their research profile, which can be a great boost in the field of biocoordination chemistry research, and we would like to use them in the future as well.
We managed to establish a couple of new collaborations, and the conference gave us the opportunity to discuss our future plans with many of our existing cooperation partners.
In the poster section, I was able to present my own research results and received several useful tips regarding my future experiments.
