A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A Nemzetközi Aeroszol Konferenciát négy évente rendezik meg. Közötte évenként szerveznek európai, amerikai és ázsiai konferenciákat külön-külön. A következő világkonferencia 2022. 09. 04. és 09. között lesz Aténban (Görögország). Honlap: https://iac2022.gr/. A szervező a Görög Aeroszol Társaság. Célja az aeroszol kutatás újabb eredményeinek áttekintése és a következő célok megjelenítése. A konferencián előadást nyújtok be a BpART Laboratórium egyik új eredményének bemutatása céljából (várhatóan a széntartalmú részecskék forrásmegosztása témakörben), és további, nukleációs, oxidációs potenciál, higroszkópos tulajdonságok témájú előadások és poszterek társszerzője leszek nemzetközi és hazai együttműködések keretében. A konferencia ideje alatt ülésezik a European Aerosol Assembly és a International Aerosol Research Association, amelyeknek magyarországi képviselője vagyok. Személyes jelenlétem tehát több szempontból is indokolt.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. A Nemzetközi Aeroszol Konferencia egy világrendezvény, amely Aténban, Görögországban lesz 2022. 09. 4. és 9. között. A rendezvényen az érintett kutatók összegyűlnek, hogy beszámoljanak a tudományuk ujabb eredményeiről, és megvitassák a továbblépés lehetőségeit. Az ezekkel való megismerkedés nagyban segíti a hazai kuatómunka hatékonyságát és a helyes irányok kiválasztását.
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. International Aerosol Conferences (IACs) series is organised every 4 year. In between, there are annual conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next IAC will be held in Athens, Greece on 4-9 September 2022. Webpage: https://iac2022.gr/. I will be submitting an oral lecture on the latest results of the BpART Laboratory (likely on the source apportionment of carbonaceous species), and will be coauthor on further oral and poster presentations dealing with the NPF, oxidation potential, hygroscopic properties) within frames of international and national cooperations. As the Hungarian representative, I will be participation on the European Aerosol Assembly and International Aerosol Research Association which are ordinary held during these conferences. hence, my participation is desirable from several points of view.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. On the conference the scientist present their latest research results and discuss the new directions in the field. The participation helps improving the efficiency of the research and identify the appropriate new directions.

2022. szeptember 4. és 9. között részt vettem az International Aerosol Conference elnevezésű világkonferencián (https://iac2022.gr/), amelyet Athénban (Görögország) a Megaron Konferencia Körpontban tartottunk. A rendezvény nemzetközi tanácsadó testületének is tagja voltam. A konferencián összesen 4 posztert bemutatásában vettem részt társszerzőként, amelyekből 2-t saját magam prezentáltam a következő címekkel:
1) Imre SALMA, Wanda THÉN, Máté VÖRÖSMARTY, Tamás WEIDINGER, Pasi AALTO, Tuukka PETÄJÄ, Veli-Matti KERMINEN, Markku KULMALA: Occurrence of new aerosol particle formation and growth events,
2) Imre SALMA, Péter Tibor VARGA, Anikó VASANITS, Attila MACHON: Seasonal variation of secondary organic carbon in different atmospheric environments of continental Central Europe.
A konferencia alatt részt vettem az International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA) és a European Aerosol Assembly (EAA) vezetőségi ülésein a Magyar Aeroszol Társaság elnökeként a társaság képviseletében, valamint a Gesellschaft für Aerosolforschung (GAeF) közgyűlésén tagként.

Between 4 and 9 September 2022, I participated on the International Aerosol Conference (https://iac2022.gr/) in Athens (Greece), which was organised at the Megaron Conference Center. I was member of the International Advisory Committee of the conference.
I presented 2 posters and was coauthor of 2 more posters. They are listed in the Publications part of this report.
During the conference, I also participated on the board meetings of the International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA) and of the European Aerosol Assembly (EAA) as president and representative of the Hungarian Aerosol Society, and on the general assembly of the Gesellschaft für Aerosolforschung (GAeF) as regular member.
