Summary in Hungarian
A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése
Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében.

A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára
Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről.

Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation
Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career.

The International Congress of Latin and Greek Epigraphy (Congressus Internationalis Epigraphiae Graecae et Latinae), the largest international scientific review of classical inscription research, is held every five years in changing venues (e.g. Barcelona, Oxford, Berlin, Vienna). The 16th Congress will be held from 29 August to 2 September 2022 in Bordeaux (https://ciegl2022.sciencesconf.org/), organized by the Ausonius Institute and the Department of Archeology at the University of Bordeaux. The aim of the conference is to reflect on the situation of epigraphy and the role of the epigrapher in the 21st century. The congress will, therefore, be organized around thematic, chronological or geographical reports, which will allow us to assess advances in our knowledge with regards to methodological, technical or ethical issues that occur in contemporary epigraphic studies. Particular attention will be paid to new epigraphic perspectives made possible by the development of digital humanities. The aim of the candidate is to present the Computerized Historical Linguistic Database of the Latin Inscriptions (http://lldb.elte.hu/), that contains and manages the Vulgar Latin material of the Latin inscriptions found in the regions of the Roman Empire, to the international research community of epigraphy at the congress, in a section dedicated to the Latin language of the inscriptions, in the form of a lecture or a poster. The lecture highlights the possibilities that the combination of modern digital database technology, epigraphy and linguistic research can open up for a more thorough understanding and description of the territorial changes and linguistic-geographical division of imperial Latin. Participation in this prestigious congress and the accompanying international publication can make a significant contribution to building the applicant's research career and to the international dissemination of the results of relevant national research.

Results in Hungarian
A jelenléti módon megrendezett 16. nemzetközi latin és görög epigráfiai kongresszusnak (CIEGL2022, Bordeaux, 2022.08.29 - 09.02.) a feliratok latinságával foglalkozó szekciójában (cf. https://ciegl2022.sciencesconf.org/data/SECTION18.pdf) a pályázó „Demonstration of the Computerized Historical Linguistic Database of the Latin Inscriptions of the Imperial Age” címmel (2022.09.02-án) tartott előadásában azt mutatta be, hogy hogy az említett Adatbázis (http://lldb.elte.hu/) hogyan segíti a latin feliratok megértését, nyelvi értelmezését és hogyan segíti az ugyanezen feliratok vonatkozó adataira épülő latin nyelvtörténeti és dialektológiai kutatásokat. A sikeres előadás, valamint a kapcsolódó, a nemzetközi szakma számos kiváló kutatója aktív részvételével lezajlott vita jelentős mértékben növelte a pályázó és az általa vezetett adatbázis-projekt nemzetközi ismertségét és elismertségét. Egyébiránt a kongresszusnak mind az öt napja kiváló lehetőséget nyújtott a pályázónak meglévő nemzetközi szakmai kapcsolatai hathatós ápolására és új szakmai kapcsolatok kiépítésére. Az előadáshoz kapcsolódóan elkészült angol és magyar nyelvű kézirat tanulmányként történő közeljövőbeli publikációja szintén jelentős mértékben járulhat hozzá a pályázó kutatói karrierjének építéséhez és a hazai vonatkozó kutatások eredményeinek hazai és nemzetközi megismertetéséhez, disszeminációjához.

In the section dealing with the Latinity of inscriptions (cf. https://ciegl2022.sciencesconf.org/data/SECTION18.pdf) of the 16th International Congress of Latin and Greek Epigraphy (Bordeaux, 29 August 2022 – 2 September 2022), which was held in person, the applicant presented in his paper entitled “Demonstration of the Computerized Historical Linguistic Database of the Latin Inscriptions of the Imperial Age” (09/02/2022) how the Database mentioned (http://lldb.elte.hu/) helps us better understand Latin inscriptions, especially through close linguistic interpretation, and how it supports historical linguistic and dialectological research based on the data of those Latin inscriptions. The successful presentation and the related discussion which took place with the active participation of many internationally renowned researchers significantly increased the international recognition of both the applicant and the database project he leads. At the same time, the five days of the congress provided the applicant with an excellent opportunity to strengthen his existing international professional relationships and build new ones. The forthcoming publication of both the English and Hungarian manuscripts completed in connection with the presentation can also make a significant contribution both to building the applicant’s research career and to the international dissemination of the results of relevant Hungarian research.
