A projekt keretében támogatott nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása Mutassa be a szervezés alatt álló nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, programját, célcsoportját és jelentőségét a nemzetközi, illetve hazai tudományos élet szempontjából. A Nemzetközi állatorvosi és orvosi oktatásfejlesztési konferencia (korábban Grác konferencia) egy ismert, minden évben meghatározott időpontban (Húsvét utáni csütörtöktől szombatig) tartott 3 napos esemény, amelyre számítanak a magyar és külföldi oktatásfejlesztéssel foglalkozó oktatók. A konferencia mindig egy adott az állatorvosi és orvosi oktatásban aktuális téma köré van szervezve és a meghívott előadók a szakterületük elismert kutatói, akik előadást és workshopot is tartanak a résztvevőknek. A 2017-es évben a Szegedi Orvostudományi Egyetem kapta a rendezés jogát, ahol felkérésre a szervező bizottság tagjaként egyetemünk oktatói Bartha Tibor professzor, rektorhelyettes és Mándoki Míra egyetemi docens segítették a munkát. Ettől az évtől kezdve a humán orvosképzés mellett - bár a két képzés nagyon hasonló - konkrétan az állatorvosképzés fejlesztéséről szóló előadások is helyet kaptak. Az Állatorvostudományi Egyetem 2016 óta minden Grác konferencián megjelent előadással, workshoppal, poszterekkel és néhány szekció moderátoraként vagy kerekasztal beszélgetések résztvevőjeként. 2021 tavaszán az online térben szintén az Állatorvostudományi Egyetem szervezésében került megtartásra a rendezvény "Érvényesülési készségek (life skill-ek) oktatása az orvos és állatorvosképzésben" címmel.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a szervezés alatt álló nemzetközi rendezvényről és annak várható eredményeiről. Az orvos- és állatorvos-tudományi képzések fejlesztése mindig fontos volt, de az utóbbi évtizedekben különösen fókuszba került. Számos rangos tudományos folyóirat, és konferencia szakosodott a témára. Az egyik ilyen a nemzetközi oktatásfejlesztési Grác konferencia. Az összejövetelt először 1995-ben rendezték meg az osztrák Grác városában és innen kapta a nevét. Az ötlet három orvos fejéből pattant ki, akik feladatuknak érezték az orvosképzés modernizálását és az oktatásfejlesztést. Az első 10 évben az esemény Grácban kapott helyet, aztán az évente ismétlődő rendezvényt különböző osztrák városokban tartották német nyelven. Először 2012-ben választottak a szervezők külföldi helyszínt és Temesvárra vitték a rendezvényt. A konferencia hivatalos nyelve az angol lett, de a három napos esemény utolsó délelőttjén német nyelvű szekciót is tartottak. Az egyetemünk először 2016-ban, Bécsben vett részt a konferencián a WatchMe (www.watchme.eu) projekt keretében végzett munkáról készített poszterrel. Az osztrák eseménysorozatból kinőtt, de immár egyre inkább nemzetközi előadókat és résztvevőket felvonultató rendezvényt Nemzetközi állatorvosi és orvosi oktatásfejlesztési konferencia néven kívánjuk megrendezni 2022-ben és a további években más-más helyszínen. Az orvosi és állatorvosi képzés folyamatos modernizálása a hallgatók, mint későbbi munkavállalók, a munkaadók és a társadalom részéről is folyamatosan felmerülő elvárás. A képzés fejlesztéséhez azonban az oktatókat is képezni, fejleszteni kell. Új, modern, módszereket kell a kezükbe adni, amelyekkel a jövő generáció orvosait és állatorvosait naprakész, hasznos tudáshoz segítik hozzá.
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event supported in the project Present the type, purpose, agenda, targeted audience, and significance of the international event organized in the international and domestic scientific community. The European Conference on Veterinary and Medical Education (ECVME, formerly known as Graz Conference) is a well known yearly event organized every year during the week after Easter. This 3-day-long conference is very popular among the teacher working in educational research. The conference has every year it’s topic and the lecturers are worldwide recognized experts of the given field who usually also hold a workshop for the participants. In 2017 the Medical University of Szeged organized the event and two teachers from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest (Tibor Bartha, vice rector and Mira Mándoki, associate professor) were invited to the organizing committee. From this year on, the conference housed not only medical, but also veterinary topics. Our university participated on every Graz Conference from 2016 with either lecture, workshop, poster or being mediator/participant in round table discussions. Because of the Covid pandemic in 2021 our university organized the event as a virtual conference focusing on teaching life skills in (veterinary) medical education.
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event organized and its expected results. The constant development of medical and veterinary education was always crucial, but in the last decade it has moved more in focus. Numerous highly ranked journals and conferences specialize on this topic. One of them is an international educational conference, the Graz Conference (GraCo). This event took place first in 1995 in Graz, Austria and the name of conference comes from this as well (www.grazconference.at). The idea of the conference was initiated by three medical doctors, who realized the importance of the improvement and modernization of the medical teaching. In the first 10 years the conference was organized in Graz, later it was rotated between other Austrian cities in German. In 2012 the organizers decided to choose a foreign city for the event, Timisoara (Romania), and the official language of the conference became English with a half-day German program. The University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest (UVMB) participated first in 2016, in Vienna. As part of the EU project WatchMe (www.watchme.eu) we presented the results of the consortium on a poster. This conference which developed from the Austrian event is more and more international these days attracting researchers from all over Europe and other parts of the world. We would like to rename and organize it as European Conference on Veterinary and Medical Education (ECVME) from 2022 in Budapest then in other European universities. The demand for modernization of medical and veterinary education is important for students as later employees, for the employers and the society. To keep the education up-to-date and improve we need to educate the teachers as well. They need new, modern methods to help the new generation of medical doctors (MDs) and veterinarians (doctor of veterinary medicine, DVMs) grow into practitioners with appropriate skills, knowledge and attitude.

A Nemzetközi Állatorvosi és Orvosi Oktatásfejlesztési Konferencia (Grác konferencia) egy ismert, 3 napos esemény, amely nagy érdeklődésre tart számot a magyar és külföldi oktatásfejlesztéssel foglalkozó oktatók között. A konferencia idei témája a mesterséges intelligencia, a digitális eszközök, valamint a virtuális/kiterjesztett valóság állatorvosi és orvosi oktatásban való használata volt. A konferencia nemzetközi jelentőségét - az aktuális téma mellett - az adta, hogy az állatorvos- és orvosképzésben nagynevű professzorok fogadták el meghívásunkat, és előadást tartottak személyesen vagy online. A konferencia budapesti helyszíne lehetőséget adott arra, hogy a különböző magyarországi orvosegyetemek oktatói, illetve az állatorvosi képzésben dolgozói oktatók személyesen tudjanak részt venni és első kézből tanulhassanak a neves előadóktól. Számos oktató érkezett a környező országokból (Ausztria, Szlovénia, Horvátország, Szerbia, Szlovákia), de még Lengyelországból, Hollandiából és az Egyesült Királyságból is jöttek. A hibrid rendezésű (jelenléti, de online közvetített és felvett) konferencia lehetőséget nyújtott arra is, hogy a világ távoli országaiból (ahonnan pl. a Covid korlátozások miatt nem tudtak eljönni) élőben követhessék vagy később visszanézhessék a felvett előadásokat az érdeklődők. A háromnapos rendezvény során számos kapcsolatfelvétel történt és új szakmai együttműködésekről állapodtak meg a kutatók. A visszajelzések alapján a rendezvény nagyon sikeres volt.

The European Conference on Veterinary and Medical Education (Graz Conference) is a well known, 3-day-long event, which is relevant to Hungarian and international teachers working in the field of educational research. The main topic of the conference this year was the use of artificial intelligence, digital technologies and virtual/augmented reality in veterinary and medical education. The importance of the conference was highlighted - besides the actual theme - by the number of famous professors who accepted the invitation to talk on the conference either in person or online. The central location of the conference (Budapest) gave the opportunity to veterinary and medical educators in Hungary to participate in person and learn from the speakers at first hand. Several teachers arrived from the neighboring countries (Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia), but even from Poland, from the Netherlands and from the UK we received participants. The hybrid organization (in-person attendance with online streaming and recording) made possible to people from remote locations (where Covid restrictions still hinder travelling) to follow the lectures either online or listen to them later. During the event new partnerships started and several collaborations were set. Based on the feedback received the conference was a big success.
