A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A projekt keretében egy tengerentúli konferencián és egy európai nyári iskolán szeretnék részt venni. A két rendezvény az alábbi lenne: az Amerikai Tömegspektrometriai Társaság (ASMS) által rendezett 70. ASMS Konferencia (Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA), valamint a Max-Planck Intézet által szervezett 13th International Summer School on Computational Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics (München, Németország). Az évente megrendezésre kerülő ASMS konferencia a világ legelismertebb és leglátogatottabb tömegspektrometriás (MS) rendezvénye. A konferencián általában 4-5000 MS-szakember és közel 100 kiállító cég vesz részt. Ezáltal betekintést nyerhetünk a legújabb készüléktechnikai fejlesztésekbe és a state-of-the-art módszerek alkalmazásába. A konferenciához kapcsolódóan megrendezésre kerül egy kétnapos kurzus is, ahol széleskörű tudást szerezhetek egy kiválasztott tématerületen. Az előadásokon és a kurzuson való részvétel mellett célom egy poszterprezentáció bemutatása. Utolsó éves doktoranduszként kiváló lehetőséget biztosít számomra a jövőbeli kutatási irányaim feltérképezéséhez, valamint nemzetközi kapcsolatok kialakításához. A MaxQuant nyári iskola egy évente megrendezésre kerülő öt napos képzés, amely a kvantitatív proteomikai elemzésekre és a kapcsolódó statisztikai vizsgálatokra szinte egyeduralkodóan alkalmazott szoftver professzionális felhasználását segíti elő. Az előadásokat és workshopokat ezen szoftver fejlesztői tartják, emellett neves kutatóktól tanulhatunk a proteomika szerteágazó területeiről (pl. poszt-transzlációs módosítások vagy harmadlagos fehérjeszerkezetek MS-alapú meghatározása). A nyári iskolán való részvétellel jelentősen bővülne az adatok értékelésére vonatkozó tudásom. A kurzuson való részvétel mellett célom egy poszterprezentáció készítése és bemutatása. Ezen rendezvények költségei túlmutatnak a szokványos forrásokból finanszírozható kereteken, így a Mecenatúra pályázat kiváló lehetőség lenne részvételem támogatására.

A konferencia emellett otthont ad egy kétnapos kurzusnak, amely során egy választott tématerület mélyebb megértésén lesz a hangsúly előadások és workshopok segítségével. Ez a konferencia kiváló lehetőséget biztosít szakmai látóköröm szélesítésére és a doktori képzés befejeztével egy esetleges nemzetközi pozíció megtalálására. A MaxQuant nyári iskola egy évente megrendezésre kerülő öt napos képzés, amelyen a résztvevők a nagyműszeres fehérjevizsgálatok mérési és értékelési módszereiben mélyedhetnek el. A képzés során a gyakorlatorientált kurzusok segítségével elsajátíthatóvá válik a MaxQuant és a Perseus szoftverek helyes kezelése. A kurzusokat maguk a szoftverek fejlesztői, valamint neves kutatók koordinálják. Az itt megszerezhető tudás elengedhetetlen egy sikeres nemzetközi karrier kiépítése szempontjából. Mindkét rendezvényen tervezem egy-egy poszter prezentáció bemutatását, amelynek segítségével beszámolhatok a magyar fehérjetudományban elért legújabb eredményekről. Ezen rendezvények költségei túlmutatnak a szokványos forrásokból finanszírozható kereteken, így a Mecenatúra pályázat kiváló lehetőség lenne részvételem támogatására.
Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The project described in this proposal would provide me the financial capabilities to attend an overseas conference and a European summer school. The first would be the 70th Annual Congress of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (Minneapolis, Minnesota, US), the latter would be the 13th International Summer School on Computational Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics (Munich, Germany).
The Annual ASMS Conference is the largest and most recognized congress held for mass spectrometry (MS) experts. Usually up to 5000 people and ca. 100 vendors attend the congress, therefore one can get insights into the newest improvements regarding instrumentation and state-of-the-art applications. A 2-day short course is organized just before the conference, where I could obtain widespread knowledge on a given topic from outstanding international experts. Beasides attending conference lectures and courses, I would attend the poster session with my results on glycosaminoglycan research. As a last-year Ph.D. student, such a conference gives me outstanding chance to discover potential research areas for my future academic carreer and build international relationships.
The MaxQuant Summer School is an annually organized 5-day training for quantitative proteomics and associated statistical analysis. The lectures and workshops are mainly held by the developers of the MaxQuant and Perseus softwares, but on the top, there will be lectures on widespread proteomics topics (e.g. post-translational modifications or 3D protein structures identified by MS) from renowned professors. My participation at the summer school would result in a huge gain in my knowledge on proteomics data analysis. Besides attending the courses, I would like to present a poster from my results.
The costs of these events exceed the usual financial sources, therefore the Mecenatura grant is inevitable for my attendance at these events.

The 70th ASMS Conference is the next stop in a legendary series where the world’s leading mass spectrometry experts can meet each other and vendors manufacturing devices and accessories. The conference will also provide a two-day course, during which I could attend lectures and workshops on a focused research area for deeper understanding and knowledge. This conference provides an excellent opportunity to broaden my professional horizons and find a potential international position upon completion of my doctoral training.
The MaxQuant Summer School is an annual five-day course in which participants can delve into the measurement and data analysis methods of large-scale protein studies. During the training, the correct use of MaxQuant and Perseus software can be mastered with the help of practice-oriented courses. The courses are coordinated by the software developers themselves as well as renowned professors. The knowledge obtained here is essential for building a successful international career.
Besides attending the courses, I would like to present a poster from my results. The costs of these events exceed the usual financial sources, therefore the Mecenatura grant is inevitable for my attendance at these events.

A pályázati támogatás segítségével részt vettem a tömegspektrometriás társadalom legnagyobb és legelismertebb éves konferenciáján (70th ASMS Conference), amely Minneapolisban (Minnesota, USA) került megrendezésre 2022. június 5-9. A rendelvényen számos világszínvonalú előadót hallgathattam meg, poszterprezentáció formájában bemutattam az eredményeimet, valamint több elismert szakemberrel is személyes kapcsolatot alakítottam ki. Részt vettem egy a konferenciához tartozó rövid kurzuson, melyen az R programnyelv alapjait sajátítottam el. Ez jelentősen hozzájárul a további szakmai fejlődésemhez.

With the help of the grant, I participated in the largest and most respected annual conference of the mass spectrometry society (70th ASMS Conference), which was held in Minneapolis (Minnesota, USA) on June 5-9, 2022. There I had the opportunity to listen to many world-class speakers, present my results in the form of a poster presentation, and establish personal relationships with several recognized professionals. I took part in a short course belonging to the conference, where I learned the basics of the R programming language. This significantly contributes to my further professional development.
