Summary in Hungarian
A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése
Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében.

Jelenleg karrierem ívében kisebbségek, a fenyegetett identitás, a kollektív cselekvési lehetőségek és a klímaválság pszichológiai konstrukciója áll. Kutatásaim, elméleti keretem, módszertani fejlesztéseim e társadalmi témák köré épülnek, ahogy ezeket a tudományos eszközöket próbálom aktív társadalmi részvétellel lokális közösségek fejlesztésébe invesztálni. E projekt mentén két nemzetközi rendezvényen szeretnék részt venni, az egyik Európán kívül kerül megrendezésre, a másik Európában. A két nemzetközi konferencia rangos szociálpszichológiai társaságok éves találkozója, szakmailag jelentős kutatókkal. Az egyik konferencia az APA 9 divízió alá tartozó SPSSI rendezvénye, melyben politikai folyamatok és társadalmi problémák emberi, pszichológiai dimenziói kerülnek bemutatásra. Gyakorlat orientált és kontextusba ágyazott megközelítések kerülnek bemutatásra, az esemény jelentősége kapcsolatépítés, gyakorlati jó példák lokális beágyazása, szakemberekkel történő kapcsolattartás. A másik esemény az ISPP éves konferenciája, absztraktabb, tudományosabb kutatásközpontú közeg, melyben mind a saját munka elismertetése, mind esetleg jövőbeli kutatói pályázatokhoz európai partnerekkel való kapcsolatteremtés a részvétel célja.
Mindkét tudományos társaságnak jelentős folyóiratai vannak. Az SPSSI a Journal of Social Issues (JSI), az Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy (ASAP), és a Social Issues and Policy Review (SIPR) folyóiratokat, míg az ISPP a Political Psychology és az Advances in Political Psychology folyóiratokat kezeli. E folyóirtokban való publikációs lehetőség, esetleg tematikus különkiadásokban való megjelenés részben kapcsolati háló eredménye is.

A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára

Mindkét konferencián való részvétel lehetővé teszi a tudományos és gyakorlati kapcsolatépítést jövőbeli projektekhez, tudományos munkásságom elismertetését, mások munkáinak, a jelenlegi irányvonalak megismerését.

Summary
Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation
Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career.

My interest is based on minorities, threatened identity, the possibilities of collective action and psychological perspectives of Climate Change. My research, theoretical background, methodological innovations are constructed around societal issues, as I also try to invest these scientific tools into the development of local communities. In this project I plan to participate to two international conferences, one of them outside Europe, the other one is in another European country. Both conferences are the annual meetings of important scientific associations in the field of social psychology, with the participation of the most prominent scholars of this field. One of the conferences is the annual meeting of SPSSI (Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues) belonging to the 9th division of APA, the society born in 1936 (with presidencies mentioning just a few among the most prominent ones such as Lewin, Katz, Bruner, Triandis, Pepitone). This international conference is more practice oriented and research is rooted in social context, the relevance of the event for me thus to construct scientific relationship and find out good examples of community development that can be implemented in Hungarian local settings. The second conference is the annual one of ISPP (International Society of Political Psychology), a more research oriented event, my participation is relevant to acknowledge my own research, as well as to see new trends on scientific research, and construct relationships and partnership in new research projects. Both scientific societies have important scientific journals.SPSSI edit the Journal of Social Issues (JSI), the Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy (ASAP), and the Social Issues and Policy Review (SIPR), while ISPP edit the Journal of Political Psychology and the Advances in Political Psychology. Publication possibilities in any of these journals would be important for my carrier, which is in part also about relationships.

Summary and aims of the project for a general audience
Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results.

Both scientific conferences that I would like to participate focus on the psychological processes behind societal problems, reflecting to problems and difficulties of nations, communities, or broader contexts, thus the problem of climate change from a social psychological perspective. This perspective is relevant, because how people think about these problems, they will behave accordingly. While one these events is more practice oriented which allow me to find out good examples to implement in Hungarian local settings, the other is a more research and theory oriented event, which permit to my scientific work to be recognized. Both conferences allow to construct scientific relationships for future research projects, to become member of scientific communities, to come to know about other’s work and to acknowledge existent trends in research practice.

Az Athéni ISPP konferencián előadásomat konfliktus szociális reprezentációjáról tartottam. Az előadásom címe: Social representations of conflict: the origin of desintegration or an outset for change.

At the ISPP conference in Athens, I gave a presentation on the social representation of conflict. My presentation was entitled: Social representations of conflict: the origin of disintegration or an outset for change. In my presentation I talked about how conflict is a fundamental component of diversity, when we reconcile contents, values and interests. I then presented the results of a Hungarian sample study in which I asked people to associate the word conflict (N=362). The results of the research show that the Hungarian sample's representation of conflict is negative, based on the emotional dimensions of anger and aggression, and stops at the outbreak of conflict, with little use of content related to conflict resolution and resolution. No differences were found in these contents along the measured independent variables, but in the content clusters, besides the negative contents that are synonymous with quarreling, a significant representation appeared that views conflict as reflecting possible change along the conflict, self-reflection, self-development. My presentation had a positive resonance. At the conference, I built relationships with regional researchers from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as with lecturers and doctoral students from the London School of Economics.
