A 2003-as évben egy klasszikus mágneses biliárdrendszerben vizsgáltuk a pályák stabilitását analitikus illetve numerikus módszerekkel. A munka fő eredménye annak a bemutatása, hogy a mágneses tér nagysága hogyan befolyásolja a kevert fázisterű rendszer Ljapunov-exponensét. A munka a Physical Review E folyóiratban került publikálásra 2003-ban.
2007 nyarán a lengyelországi Bedlewo-ban konferenciaelőadást tartottam "Groupoid convolution algebras and dynamical systems" címmel. Előadásomban azt mutattam be, hogy hogyan lehet használni a groupoid algebra konstrukciót -mely tipikusan nemkommutatív geometriai eszköz- különböző egyszerű dinamikai rendszerek vizsgálatában.

In 2003 the stability of trajectories in a classical magnetic billiard was investigated with analytical and numerical methods. As a main result of the work, we demonstrated how the magnitude of the magnetic field influences the Lyapunov-exponent of the system with mixed phase space. This work was published in Physical Review E in 2003.
In 2005, together with my co-workers at Budapest University of Economics and Technology, I was working on the abstract (coordinate-free) and precise mathematical formalism of a well known phenomenon of relativity theory (Thomas rotation). Our results were published in "Ulmer Seminare" and in the journal "General relativity and gravitation".
In the summer of 2007 I held a conference lecture "Groupoid convolution algebras and dynamical systems" at Bedlewo (Poland). In my lecture I demonstrated how the groupoid convolution algebras, which are typical noncommutative geometrical structures, can be used in the study of simple dynamical systems.
At the end of 2007 I gave a new method for the state estimation of a qubit, (which is a simple, two-level quantummechanical system), and I compared the efficiency of this method with the other known state tomography protocols. The proposed new state estimation protocol is based on a continuous positive operator valued measure, which does not hurt the symmetry of the state space (the Bloch ball). This work is being published in Physical Review A.
