A szelektív Mitsunobu O-alkilezési/gyűrűzárási reakcióval a teljes kalixaréncsaládban preparatív célra használható regioszelektivitást nem értünk el, viszont számos új tiakalix[4](aza/tiakorona-5/6)étert szintetizáltunk [1]. Dietilénglikolokkal intermolekuláris reakcióban elsőként állítottunk elő tiakalix[4]dimereket [2]. Megállapítottuk, hogy tiakalix[4]arén-1,3-bisz(N-hidroxialkil-amidok) Mitsunobu ciklizációja kemoszeletíven kétszeresen áthidalt, inherens kiralitású makrociklusos karboxamidokhoz vezet [3]. Elsőként vizsgáltuk funkcionalizált oxakalix[4]arén diolok alkilezési reakcióját és szintetizáltunk oxakalix[4]koronaétereket [4]. Fotokrom indikátor csoportokkal ellátott 1,1’-binafto-és kalix[4]koronaétereket állítottunk elő és fémionokra adott optikai válaszukat tanulmányoztuk [5,6]. Tiakalix[4]arén-mono-és bisz(korona-6) éterekből kiváló potenciometriás Cs2+ szelektivitású PVC membránelektródokat készítettünk [7]. Ezüstionok szelektív komplexálására alkalmas, lineáris/gyűrűs donor csoportokat tartalmazó kalix-és tiakalix[4]aréneket terveztünk és állítottunk elő [8,9]. Elsőként állítottunk elő BODIPY jelzőcsoportot tartalmazó tiakalix[4](aza/tia-korona-5)étert, amely oldatban fluoreszcens Cu2+-, míg PVC membránban potenciometriás Ag+ -szelektivitást mutat [10]. Ionizálható azofenol kromofort tartalmazó mono-és bisz(binaftokorona)étereket szintetizáltunk és aminok hatására fellépő színváltozásukat tanulmányoztuk [11].

With our selective Mitsunobu O-alkylation/cyclization practically useful regioselectivities were not attained in the whole calixarene family, in turn a number of novel thiacalix[4](aza/thia-crown-5/6)ethers were synthesized[1]. Novel tiacalix[4]dimers were obtained in the intermolecular Mitsunobu alkylation with diethylene glycols [2]. The intramolecular Mitsunobu cyclization of thiacalix[4]arene-1,3-bis(N-hydroxyalkyl-amides) resulted in doubly bridged, inherently chiral macrocycles with high chemoselectivity[3]. The O-alkylation of oxacalix[4]arene diols was studied and distal oxacalix[4]crown ethers were synthesized for the first time [4]. 1,1’-Binaphtho-and calix[4]azacrown ethers supplied with photochromic indicator groups were synthesized and their optical responses towards metal ions were studied [5,6]. Potentiometric PVC membrane electrodes fabricated from thiacalix[4]mono-and bis(crown-6)ethers exhibited significant selectivity toward Cs+[7]. Calix[4]arene derivatives containing linear-and cyclic chelating sites were designed and synthesized for the selective recognition of Ag+ [8,9]. A thiacalix[4](aza/thiacrown-5)ether-BODIPY conjugate was synthesized, which exhibited Cu2+ ( solution)- and a distinct Ag+ selectivity (PVC membrane)[10]. Mono-and bis(binaphthocrown)ethers supplied with proton-ionisable azophenol signalling group were prepared and their complexation-induced coloration effected by amines was studied [11].
