Final report

Results in Hungarian
A Kárpát-medencében a termeszett növényeken gyakran előforduló Thysanoptera fajok határozó kulcsa 40 fajt foglal magába. A Kárpát-medencében előforduló Tubulifera fajok lárváinak határozó kulcsa 60 fajt foglal magába.

The identification key to the Thysanoptera larvae frequently living on the cultivated plants in the Carpathian basin includes 40 phytophagous and zoophagous species. Some of them was introduced from tropical and subtropical regions. e.g. Parthenothrips dracaenae, Frankliniella occidentalis. They are dangerous pests of forced vegetable plants (pepper, tomato) and ornamentals. They occur in the field on the weed plants at the surroundings of the greenhouses in summer, but they are not able to overwinter only in the greenhouses or under plastic tunnels. The introduction of the quarantine pest, Thrips palmi is possible. The identification key to the Tubulifera species occurrung in the Carpathian basin includes 64 species. The data regarding the host range and phenology of the larvae are comparised in the identification key. A comparative collection of Thysanoptera larvae has been established. Larvae about 60 species are deposited in this collection. The identification keys were based on the speciemens collected in the Carpathian basin, and on the publications of Priesner, and manuscript s of Nakahara and Vierbergen.
