A beszámolási időszakban a munkatervnek megfelelően egyrészt a Finsler geometria lokális összefüggéseivel, a speciális Finsler terekkel, a projektív leképezések tulajdonságaival foglalkoztunk, másrészt globális Riemann geometriai eredmények Finsler terekre vonatkozó általánosításaival.
A munka eredményeként 17 tudományos dolgozat született, ebből megjelent 13, 1 elfogadva megjelenés előtt, 1 benyújtva, és 2 előkészület alatt van.
19 alkalommal tartottunk előadásokat, -- részben meghívott előadóként -- nemzetközi differenciálgeometriai konferenciákon, többségében külföldön
Egy alkalommal, 2007-ben mi rendeztünk workshop jellegű nemzetközi egy hetes találkozót Balatonföldváron, ahová 13 országból 45 részvevő jött el előadni és megvitatni
a Finsler geometria legújabb problémáit. A kutatásokba bevontunk fiatalokat is, doktorandusz hallgatókat, többen társszerzőként szerepelnek a publikációknál, 2 doktori (PhD) védés is történt az időszak alatt. A kutatásokat részben külföldi szerzőtársakkal együtt végeztük (Csehország, Kína, Japán, Románia, Irán).
Az OTKA támogatása igen nagymértékben hozzájárult ahhoz, hogy egyrészt a kutatásokat zavartalanul, eredményesen, és a külföldi kutatókkal együttműködve tudjuk végezni, eredményeinket nemzetközi konferenciákon ismertethettük, és külföldi vendégeket tudtunk Debrecenbe meghívni, a vezető kutatók és a doktoranduszok is közvetlen bekapcsolódhattak a nemzetközi közös kutatásokba.
Results in English
During the report period we dealt with the research objectives given in the Work Plan: special classes of Finsler spaces, projective mappings and global issues of Riemannian geometry to generalize to Finsler geometry. 17 papers have been written, 13 of them have already appeared, one accepted.
We had 19 lectures at international conferences and workshop, mainly abroad, partially as invited speakers. In 2007, Balatonföldvár, Hungary we organized an international workshop on Finsler geometry and its applications, with 45 participants from 13 countries. PhD students and young scientists have been involved in the project, some of them are coauthors of the published papers. 2 of them defended Thesis for PhD degree in 2006. The project was done in active international cooperation, we had joint authors from China, Czech Republic, Japan and Romania. The financial support of OTKA made it possible to carry on the successful project, promoting our attendance to conferences, and covering partially the cost of invitation of foreign scientist.
