Summary in Hungarian
A rendezetlenség minden létező anyag elkerülhetetlen velejárója, amelynek jelenléte azok fizikai tulajdonságait jelentősen módosíthatja. Ezen projekt keretében kvantumos és klasszikus rendszerekben fellépő rendezetlenségi effektusokat vizsgálunk, mind egyensúlyi, mind nemegyensúlyi körülmények között. Kvantum rendszerekben (pl. spinláncok, spinlétrák és alacsonydimenziós rácsok) összefonódási tulajdonságokat, valamint a Neumann-féle entrópia skálázási tulajdonságait fogjuk vizsgálni a (rendezetlen) kvantum kritikus pont környezetében, valamint az entrópia időbeli fejlődését a rendszer állapotának hirtelen megváltoztatását követően. Rendezetlen klasszikus rendszerekben (pl. véletlen kötésű Potts modell, véletlen terű Ising modell) a határfelület tulajdonságait, valamint a kritikus sűrüség profilok alakját fogjuk tanulmányozni.
Summary
Disorder is an inevitable feature of real materials and in many cases it can strongly influence their physical properties. In this project we consider disorder effects in quantum and classical systems both at and out-off equilibrium. In quantum systems (spin chains, ladders, low-dimensional lattices) we are going to study the entanglement properties and the scaling behaviour of the von-Neumann entropy in the vicinity of the (random) quantum critical point at zero temperature, as well as its evaluation after a sudden quench in the system. In random classical systems (random bond Potts model, random field Ising model) we are going to study interfacial properties as well as density profiles at the critical point. In non-equilibrium classical particle systems, such as driven lattice gases and reaction-diffusion models we are going to study the properties of the steady states as well as non-equilibrium phase transitions in the presence of disorder. In problems with rare region effects (such as Griffiths singularities) we study possible relation with extreme value statistics.

Results in Hungarian
A rendezetlenségi effektusok soktest rendszerekben téma keretében a következő területeken értünk el jelentős eredményeket: Kvantum rendszerek összefonódása témakörben inhomogenitások és rendezetlenség jelenlétében a kritikus pontbeli összefonódási entrópia szingularitásának meghatározása egyensúlyi és nemegyensúlyi esetben különböző dimenziókban. Rendezetlen klasszikus és kvantumrendszerek fázisátalakulásai (hatékony algoritmus kifejlesztése az erős rendezetlenségi renormálási csoport alkalmazására magasabb dimenziós kvantum rendszerekre; kétdimenziós kritikus perkoláció és a Potts modell esetén a fürtök számának sarokjárulékának egzakt meghatározása). Fázisátalakulások és dinamikai folyamatok nem-egyensúlyi rendszerekben (kvantum kvencs dinamikájának származtatása kváziklasszikus tárgyalás segítségével transzverz terű Ising és XY-modellben; rendezetlen és kváziperiodikus spin láncok nemegyensúlyi relaxációjának meghatározása; hálózatok dinamikus skálaviselkedése: Griffiths fázisok kimutatása; diffúzió vizsgálata véletlen erőtér jelenlétében). Extrém érték statisztika: renormálási csoport tárgyalás bevezetése és alkalmazása a plasztikus megfolyás jelenségére diszlokáció rendszerekben. Számszerű eredmények: 39 IF-es cikk, összesített IF: 112,701, 1 PhD-fokozat, 1 MSc diplomamunka.
Results in English
In the projekt: disorder effects in many body systems the following significant results were obtained: In the topic of entanglement of quantum systems we have calculated the singular behaviour of the critical point entanglement entropy in the presence of inhomogeneities and quenched disorder, both in equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium. Phase transitions of disordered classical and quantum systems (development of efficient simulation algorithm for the application of the strong disorder renormalisation group for higher dimensional quantum systems; for two-dimensional critical percolation and for the Potts model exact calculation of the corner contribution of the cluster numbers). Phase transitions and dynamical processes in out-of-equilibrium systems (derivation of the results of quantum quench for transverse Ising and XY models by semiclassical methods; calculation of non-equilibrium dynamics in disordered and quasi-periodic quantum spin chains; dynamical scaling behavior of networks; observation of Griffith phases; study of diffusion in the presence of random forces). Extreme value statistics: Introduction a renormalization group description and application for the plastic flow process in dislocation systems. Summary: 39 peer reviewed papers, total IF: 112.701; 1 PhD-degree, 1 MSc dissertation.
