Janus Pannonius mûveinek kritikai kiadása szövegkötetekbõl és kommentárkötetekbõl fog állni. Az elsõ szövegkötet 2006-ban jelent meg. A jelen pályázat célja a 2. és a 3. szövegkötet elkészítése. Ezen kötetek az elégákat illetve az epikus költeményeket fogják tartalmazni.
A személyi feltételt a pályázó munkahelye biztosítja, azonban a járulékos kiadásokra a munkahely nem rendelkezik fedezettel.
A tervezett kiadások a még hiányzó elsõdleges és másodlagos források (kéziratok és szakirodalom) elérését szolgálják. Az elérésükhöz részben a külföldi kézirattárak és szakkönyvtárak fölkeresésére, részben könyvek és másolatok vásárlása illetve készítése szükséges.
Summary
The critical edition of the works of Janus Pannonius will contain a series of text and commentary volumes. The first fascicle with the text of his epigrams and the apparatus has appeared in 2006. The goal of that grant is to support the work on the second and third volume. These volumes will contain Janus' elegies and epic poems.
Employment of the applicant is secured by his employer (the Hungarian Academy of Sciences), but the additional costs can not be covered by Academy founding.
The grant is intended to found access to the primary and secondary sources, i.e. manuscripts and scholarly litterature. To access these sources, it is necessary to visit foreign libraries on one hand, or buy books and different sorts of copies on the other hand.

A kutatásnak két fő iránya volt, az egyik a kritika kiadás második kötetének sajtó alá rendezése és megjelentetése, a másik pedig a további kötetek előkészítése.
Az elégiákat tartalmazó kötet 2014. tavaszán jelenik meg 204 lap terjedelemben, kiadásra kerül benne Janus Pannonius eddig ismertté vált 34 elégiája, valamint más szerzőknek öt olyan elégiája, mely Janus Pannoniusszal folytatott verses levélváltásnak az ellendarabja, azaz Janushoz, illetve egy esetben formálisan Mátyás királyhoz szólnak. A szövegmegállapítás lényegében az összes XV-XVI. századi kéziratot figyelembe veszi, így több esetben sikerült csonka sorokat kiegészíteni, illetve a versek szövegét számos ponton helyesbíteni.
Tito Vespasiano Strozzi három verset írt Janushoz, a korábbi közlések ezek szövegét az 1513/14-es Aldus Manutius-féle kiadás alapján hozták. A Janus- és Strozzi-kéziratok vizsgálata világossá tette, hogy ezek a versváltozatok lényegesen eltérnek azoktól, melyeket maga Janus olvashatot. Az egykorú Strozzi-szövegek helyreállítása lehetővé teszi, hogy a két költő viszonyát pontosabban lássuk és jobban meg tudjuk ítélni.
A további kötetek előkészítése keretében elkészült a Guarino-panegyricus kritikai apparátussal ellátott szövege, pontos azonosításra került az a kéziratos görög versgyűjtemény, melynek darabjaiból válogatva Janus epigrammákat fordított, és elemeztük Janusnak Mátyás nevében írt diplomáciai és egyéb leveleit.

There were two main directions of our research, on one side the publication of the second volume of the crical edition of Janus' works, and on the other side the preparation of the further volumes.
The volume that contains the Elegies (204 p., with Introduction in English) is being published during spring 2014. It contains Janus Pannonius' so far known 34 elegies, furthermore five elegies of other authors, which form the counterpart of poetical exchanges with Janus Pannonius, resp. in one case formally with King Matthias. The edition takes into account substantially all 15th and 16th century manuscripts and early prints, and in several cases mutilated or corrupted lines could be supplemented or corrected.
Tito Strozzi Vespasiano has written three poems to Janus; the former publications were based on the text of Aldus Manutius' 1513/14 edition. The investigation of the manuscripts of Janus and Strozzi made it clear that the published texts are significantly different from those versions of the poems, which Janus itself has read. Restoring the contemporary Strozzi texts makes it possible to judge more precisely the relationship between the two poets.
In the framework of the preparation of the further volumes the critical text of the Panegyricus to Guarino Veronese has been established; the collection of Greek poems has been accurately identified which served as a source of more than 20 translations of Janus; the corpus of diplomatic and other letters written by Janus in the name of King Matthias has been analyzed.
