magyar összefoglaló
A kutatás összefoglalója, célkitűzései szakemberek számára
Itt írja le a kutatás fő célkitűzéseit a témában jártas szakember számára.

A kondenzátumok, pl kvark-antikvark, illetve a gluon kondenzátum befolyásolják a hadronok tulajdonságait. Például a proton tömegének több mint 98%-át a kondenzátumok okozzák.

Ebben a projektben megvizsgáljuk az erősen kölcsönható anyag tulajdonságait nagy sűrűségen. A fázis diagramjáról szeretnénk információhoz jutni elsősorban nagy sűrűségen, mivel alacsony sűrűségeken a rács számolások is elég megbízhatóak. A hadronok közegbeli tulajdonságai mérésével akarunk információt szerezni ezen kondenzátumok közegbeli értékéről.

Mi a kutatás alapkérdése?

Mi a kutatás jelentősége?

A kutatás összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára
Ebben a fejezetben írja le a kutatás fő célkitűzéseit alapműveltséggel rendelkező laikusok számára.

Summary of the research and its aims for experts
Describe the major aims of the research for experts.

The theory of strong interactions is known, however, with the exception of special conditions (scattering at extreme large energies) it can not be solved. Even the structure of the QCD vacuum is not simple, contains a number of condensates. These condensates, e.g. the quark-antiquark condensate or the gluon condensate influence the hadron properties. For instance, 98% of the proton mass is due to the condensates.

In this project we wish to study the properties of strongly interacting matter at high densities. The main goal is to get information about its phase diagram at high densities, since in the low-density regime the lattice calculations are quite reliable. Further we would like to understand, how the condensates and the individual hadron states change in medium. The values of the condensates are known at zero temperature and density, and they tend to zero at infinite temperature and density. We are looking for their dependence on these variables. By measuring the in-medium hadron properties we hope to get information on the in-medium values of the condensates. Of course, even a much more moderate result could be considered as important, namely, if we could indisputably prove that a certain experimental result can be explained only by modifying the mass and width of a hadron. We would like to make experimental proposals for clarification of these issues.

What is the major research question?
Describe here briefly the problem to be solved by the research, the starting hypothesis, and the questions addressed by the experiments.

How the phase diagram of the strong interaction looks like ? What is the structure of the vacuum of the strong interaction and how does it change in hot and dense medium?
We assume, that QCD at low energies can be described by effective field theories, while for the dynamics transport models can be
applied. Comparing the results of model calculations with the experimental results we hope to learn how the properties of hadrons and condensate properties are modified in medium.

What is the significance of the research?
Describe the new perspectives opened by the results achieved, including the scientific basics of potential societal applications. Please describe the unique strengths of your proposal in comparison to your domestic and international competitors in the given field.

These investigations help to understand the theory of strong interactions. This knowledge will have no immediate practical application or benefit. It helps for the mankind - to understand the properties of one of the fundamental interactions.

Summary and aims of the research for the public
Describe here the major aims of the research for an audience with average background information. This summary is especially important for NRDI Office in order to inform decision-makers, media, and others.

The theory of strong interactions is known, however, with the exception of special conditions (scattering at extreme large energies) it can not be solved. Even the structure of the QCD vacuum is not simple consists of numerous condensates (e.g. quark-antiquark liquid), which have an important effect on our world. For instance, 98% of the proton mass is due to the
condensates.

In this project we wish to study the properties of strongly interacting matter at high densities. We want to get information mainly about its phase diagram at high densities, since in the low-energy regime the lattice calculations are fairly reliable. Further, we would like to understand, how the properties of the condensates and of individual strongly interacting particles (hadrons) change in medium. We hope to propose experiments, which help to answer these questions.

The main objective of our investigations was to understand the properties of hadrons and hadronic matter at high density and low temperature and to give predictions for the forthcoming NICA, PANDA and CBM experiments. We developed a transport model for describing the dynamics of heavy ion collisions covering the energy range of the HADES, NICA, CBM and PANDA detectors. With this model we could explain the HADES data on the production of Ξ baryon in subthreshold nuclear collisions. Up to now there has not been any realistic explanation for this data. In pA reactions we found that we can determine experimentally the mass shift of the ψ(3686) and, therefore, the gluon condensate at normal nuclear matter density. We investigated the low energy limit of the extended Linear Sigma Model and found that its low energy limit agrees with the Chiral Perturbation Theory. Using this model with the addition of Polyakov loops we investigated the phase diagram and found that the critical end point (CEP) of a first order transition line exists at rather large values of μB. We also calculated the isentropic curves and the agreement is remarkable with the lattice simulations. A new chiral based, multichannel and energy-independent KN potential was constructed, which reproduces all known experimental data. Using this potential we have shown, that the T-matrix has only one pole in the energy region of the Λ(1405) in contrast to the overall accepted scenario of its two-pole structure.
