A pályázatban vállat célkitűzéseinket teljesítettük: a Kapisztrán János magyarországi illetve magyar személyekkel folytatott levelezésének (1451-1456) kritikai kiadása elkészült és nyomtatott formában, az SZTE és a TTI kiadásában idén júniusban 300 példányban megjelent. A kiadás alapját képezik a különféle magyar, európai és egyesült államokbeli közgyűjteményekben őrzött eredeti példányok, 15-17. századi másolatok. Munkánk során felhasználtuk a 18-21. században megjelent mérvadó szövegkiadásokat. A forrásfeltárás érdekében tanulmányutakra került sor (Capestrano, Róma: Galamb György; Németország: Gecser Ottó; USA, New York, St. Bonaventure: Iulian Mihai Damian). Mivel munkánk egy nemzetközi projekt része, külföldi kollégáinkkal a 2018 novemberében Budapesten tartott kerekasztalon egyeztettünk, illetve munkánkat a 2023 áprilisában Pozsonyban tartott MECERN konferencián mutattuk be.
A kötetben 188 levél kapott helyet, a melyek közül eddig 44 kiadatlan volt. E levelek átírását elkészítettük, azokat kritikai apparátussal elláttuk, értelemszerűen kivéve a kötetben időkörébe eső 27 olvashatatlan és 8 olyan levelet, amelyeket lengyel kollégáink ugyanezen projekt keretében már publikáltak.
A küldöldi kutatásaink során beszerzett hungarica-dokumentumokat és kötetünk két példányát az MNL-OL rendelkezésére bocsátottuk.

We have reached our objectives: the critical edition of John of Capistrano's correspondence in Hungary and with Hungarian subjects (1451-1456) has been completed and published in print by the SZTE and TTI in June this year, with 300 copies. The edition is based on original letters, 15th-17th century copies preserved in various public collections in Hungary, Europe and the United States. We have used the authoritative editions of the texts published in the 18th-21st centuries. We have undertaken study visits (Capestrano, Rome: György Galamb; New York, St. Bonaventure, Germany: Ottó Gecser USA, NY, St. Bonaventure: Iulian Mihai Damian) to explore the sources. As part of an international project, we have discussed our work with colleagues from abroad at a roundtable in Budapest in November 2018 and presented our work at the MECERN conference in Bratislava in April 2023.
The volume contains 188 letters, 44 of which were previously unpublished. These letters have been transcribed and critically annotated and indexed, with the exception, of course, of the 27 illegible letters and 8 letters already published by our Polish colleagues in the framework of the same project.
The Hungarica documents obtained during our research abroad and two copies of our volume have been made available to the MNL-OL.
