A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A Nemzetközi Zenetudományi Társaság ötévente tartja kongresszusait, rendszerint a világ valamely nagyvárosában. E kongresszusok a nemzetközi zenetudomány legrangosabb világméretű eseményei, melyeken a tudományterület valamennyi ága és művelőinek valamennyi nemzedéke képviselteti magát. A 2022. augusztusában Athénban sorra kerülő esemény a Music across Borders címet viseli. Kutatócsoportunkkal a kongresszuson belül önálló tudományos szekciót szervezünk, két munkatársam mellett negyedikként egy szlovák kolléga részvételével. A Fragments across borders szekció előadásai a közép-európai térség középkori kottás kódextöredékeinek kutatása terén elért legújabb eredményeinket mutatják be, kiemelve egy-egy elveszettnek vélt forrás különböző országok gyűjteményeiben őrzött töredékeinek rekonstrukcióját. Saját előadásomban a magyarországi és erdélyi könyvtárakban föltárt 14-15. századi kottás kódextöredékek egy csoportjából helyreállítható forrásanyagot mutatom be.
A projekt összefoglalója, célkitűzései laikusok számára Adjon egy rövid, közérthető ismertetést a látogatni tervezett nemzetközi rendezvényről, illetve a részvétel céljáról, várható eredményeiről. A Nemzetközi Zenetudományi Társaság 2022 nyarán Athénban rendezett kongresszusa igazi zenei világeseménynek ígérkezik. A Zene határok nélkül mottójú rendezvényen részt vesznek az európai klasszikus zene kutatói éppúgy, mint a népzenei hagyományok, az ősi törzsi kultúrák ismerői, vagy a kortárs zene aktuális irányzataival, sőt, a legújabb könnyűzenei divatáramlatokkal foglalkozók. Múlt, jelen és jövő zenéjének és zenekultúrájának gyakorlata és elmélete áll a tudományos előadások, poszterkiállítások, tematikus kerekasztal-beszélgetések, formális és informális szakmai eszmecserék fókuszpontjában, villám-keresztmetszetét nyújtva a 21. század zenetudománya komplex, dinamikus és szerteágazó, állandó hullámzásban levő rendszerének. Kutatócsoportom három tagja egy meghívott szlovák kollégával kiegészülve a kongresszuson önálló tudományos szekcióban lép föl. A "Töredékek határok nélkül" szekció a mai Közép-Európa töredékekben fönnmaradt középkori liturgikus kottás kódexeit veszi számba, kísérletet téve egy-egy elveszettnek hitt forrás helyreállítására. Az ülés kiváló alkalmat nyújt ahhoz, hogy bebizonyosodjon, milyen nagy szükség van a zenei középkorkutatás és a fragmentológia területén a nemzetközi együttműködésre. Csak ennek segítségével kerülhetnek újra egymás mellé a középkori kódexek szétszabdalt, majd az évszázadok során különböző országok különböző gyűjteményeiben őrzőhelyre talált lapjai, s valósulhat meg legalább részleges virtuális rekonstrukciójuk.

Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The International Musicological Society holds its congresses every five years usually in a major city in the world. These congresses are the most prestigious worldwide events in international musicology, in which all branches of the discipline and all generations of researchers are represented. The congress will take place in August 2022 in Athens with the motto "Music across Borders". Our research group is organizing a study session, with 4 papers with the participation of a Slovak colleague as guest lecturer. The papers will present the latest achievements in the field of the research on medieval notated manuscript fragments from the Central-European territory. Special focus will be given to the possibilities of reconstructing truncated sources, the process of destruction of the original manuscript, and reusing the leaves as book-bindings. In my paper I will deal with the reconstruction of selected Mass and Office manuscripts from the 14th-15th centuries recently discovered as fragments in archives in Hungary and Transylvania (Romania).
Summary and aims of the project for a general audience Provide a short, general introduction to the international event to be visited, the purpose of the participation, and its expected results. The congress of the International Musicological Society which will take place in Athens in August 2022 promises to be a real world music event. Entitled "Music Without Borders", the congress will be attended by researchers of classical music, as well as people familiar with folk music traditions, ancient tribal cultures, or current trends in contemporary music and even the latest trends in Pop music. The practice and theory of past, present and future music and music culture is the focus of scholarly lectures, poster exhibitions, thematic roundtables, formal and informal professional exchanges, providing a lightning cross-section of the complex, dynamic and diversified system of 21st century musicology. Three members of my research group, together with an invited Slovak colleague, will form a separate study session. The "Fragments Without Borders" session gives an overview of the chant manuscripts of Central European origin that have survived in fragments, in an attempt to restore a source believed to be lost. The meeting provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the need for international collaboration in chant research and fragmentology. Only with this can the truncated folios of medieval codices, found in different collections in different countries over the centuries, be reconstructed, at least virtually.

A Nemzetközi Zenetudományi Társaság (International Musicological Society) ötévenként zajló kongresszusai a muzikológus szakma legrangosabb eseményeinek számítanak. Az idei, Athénban rendezett 21. kongresszus (Music across Borders) középpontjában a zenetudomány aldiszciplínái közti horizontális és vertikális átjárhatóság állt, feloldva a részterületek megszokott narratívái, módszerei, eszköztárai közti korlátokat. Külön figyelmet kapott a napjaink eltérő szociokulturális közegeiben kibontakozó jelenségek - migráció, klímaváltozás, társadalmi feszültségek kiéleződése - zeneszociológiai, zenepszichológiai reflexiója, ugyanakkor az európai zenetörténeti és zeneelméleti kutatás hagyományos témái sem szorultak háttérbe. Előadásom az IMS gregoriánkutatókat tömörító Cantus Planus munkacsoportja által szervezett, összesen 5 előadásból álló kerekasztal-szekció részeként hangzott el. A szakma nemzetközi képviselői nagy érdeklődést mutattak a kutatócsoportom által végzett, a középkori kottás kódextöredékek feltárása, rendszerbe foglalása és digitális megjelenítése terén végzett munka iránt. A kongresszus számos szakmai kapcsolat kialakítására nyújtott lehetőséget, amelyek hozzájárulnak kutatásunk nemzetközi beágyazottságának növeléséhez, és elősegítik a jövőbeni közös projekttervek megvalósulását.

The quiquennial congresses of the International Musicological Society, are considered the most prestigious events in the world of musicology. The principal focus of the 21st congress (Music across Borders), organized this year in Athens, was lying on the horizontal and vertical interoperability between the sub-disciplines of musicology, dissolving the barriers between the usual narratives, methods and tools of the individual sub-fields. Special attention was paid to the music-sociology and music-psychology based reflection of the phenomena unfolding in today's different socio-cultural environments - migration, climate change, exacerbation of social tensions - and, at the same time, the traditional topics of European music history, music ethnology and systematic musicology still remained in the foreground. My lecture was given as part of a round table session consisting of 5 lectures organized by the Cantus Planus study group of the IMS. The international representatives showed a great interest in the work carried out by my research group Digital Music Fragmentology in the field of uncovering, systematizing and digital processing of fragments of medieval notated plainchant manuscripts. The congress provided the opportunity to establish many professional relationships, which contribute to increasing the international embeddedness of our research with the opportunity to formulate joint project plans.
