A projekt keretében látogatni tervezett nemzetközi tudományos/innovációs rendezvény bemutatása és a tervezett részvétel ismertetése Mutassa be a nemzetközi rendezvény jellegét, célját, szervezőit és jelentőségét a nemzetközi tudományos életben. Ismertesse a részvétel célját (pl. előadás, poszter, egyéb aktivitás), a rendezvényen való részvétel várható hatását és jelentőségét a saját kutatói karrier építésében. A Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) hagyományosan igen magas színvonalú konferenciákat szervez, elsősorban a tématerület legkiválóbb szakemberei részvételével. A konferencia a világ minden tájáról érkező szakemberek fóruma, ahol legfrissebb kutatási eredményeikről számolnak be. Ez a konferencia konkrétan a kalcium jelátvitelre fókuszál; tekintve, hogy a kalcium jelátvitel saját szakterületem, a porcképződés irányításában is kulcsszerepet játszik (lásd a témában írt korábbi közleményeimet), az ezen a területen a konferencia keretében szerzett új tapasztalataim és ismereteim előmozdíthatják a saját kutatási témámat is. A GRC konferenciák arról híresek, hogy bőséges (és kötetlen) lehetőséget biztosítanak szakmai beszélgetések, viták, eszmecserék lefolytatásához, így inspirációt ad új kutatási projektek megvalósításához. Korábban már részt vettem GRC konferenciákon (pl. a 2009-ben megszervezett Cartilage Biology & Pathology), ahol tartós kollaborációkat sikerült kialakítanom neves kutatókkal (pl. Prof. Nicolai Miosge, Göttingen, Németország). A konferencián poszter bemutatásával vagy (amennyiben a szakmai bizottság a benyújtott absztrakt alapján erre érdemesnek talál) rövid előadás megtartásával szeretném ismertetni a kutatási eredményeinket, amelynek kapcsán új kollaborációs partnerekkel is megismerkedhetnék, ez pedig akár nemzetközi pályázatok benyújtásához is vezethet. Ennek a konferenciának a kiemelt jelentőségét az adja, hogy hazánkban ezen a szűk szakterületen nincs meg az a kritikus kutatói tömeg, amely lehetővé tenné egy ilyen nagyszabású rendezvény megszervezését.

Presentation of the international scientific/innovation event to be visited in the project and description of the proposed participation Present the type, purpose, organizers, and significance of the international event in the scientific community. Present the purpose of the participation (e.g., paper, poster, other activity), the expected impact of the participation in the event and its significance in building your own research career. The Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) traditionally organise conferences of very high quality, with participants being the most eminent experts in the field. The conference is a forum for experts from all over the world to present their latest research results. This conference will focus specifically on calcium signalling; given that calcium signalling plays a key role in my own area of expertise, cartilage formation (please see my previous publications on this topic), the new insights and knowledge I will gain in this area at the conference will also help to advance my own research topic. GRC conferences are renowned for providing ample (and informal) opportunities for professional discussions, debates and exchanges of ideas, thus inspiring new research projects. In the past, I have participated at other GRC conferences (e.g. Cartilage Biology & Pathology in 2009), where I have established lasting collaborations with renowned researchers (e.g. Prof. Nicolai Miosge, Göttingen, Germany). At the conference I would like to present our research results by means of a poster presentation or (if the peer review committee deems it appropriate based on the abstract submitted) a short talk, which could lead to new collaborations and even to the submission of international grant proposals. The particular importance of this conference lies in the fact that in this narrow field of research, we do not have the critical mass of researchers in Hungary to organise such a large-scale event.

A GRC Calcium Signaling kongresszusa a kalcium-jelátvitellel és rendellenességeivel foglalkozó szakemberek személyes találkozására biztosít lehetőséget. A konferencia a legkiválóbb kutatók fóruma, ahol legfrissebb kutatási eredményeikről számolnak be. Korábbi publikációim jelentős hányada erre a szakterületre fókuszált. A kongresszus jelentőségét az adja, hogy hazánkban ezen a szűk szakterületen nincs jelen az a kritikus kutatói tömeg, amely lehetővé tenné egy ilyen nagyszabású rendezvény megszervezését. A konferencián lehetőségem nyílott személyesen találkozni a szakterületemen (ioncsatornák, kalcium-jelátvitel) tevékenykedő legjelentősebb nemzetközi kutatócsoportokkal, illetve első kézből értesülhettem a legfrissebb kutatási eredményekről. A poszter-prezentáció formájában bemutatott munka kapcsán hasonló érdeklődésű kutatókkal ismerhettem meg, akikkel tudományos együttműködést is tervezünk a közeljövőben.

The GRC Calcium Signaling Conference provides an opportunity to meet face-to-face with experts in calcium signaling and its disorders. The conference is a forum for top researchers in the field to present their latest research findings. A significant proportion of my previous publications have focused on this topic. The importance of the congress lies in the fact that in this narrow field of research, the critical mass of researchers in our country is not present to organise such a large-scale event. During the conference I had the opportunity to meet in person the most important international research groups working in my field (ion channels, calcium signalling) and to learn first-hand about their latest research results. The work presented in the form of a poster presentation allowed me to meet researchers with similar interests with whom we are planning scientific collaborations in the near future.
