A pályázat futamideje alatt a vállalásoknak megfelelően egyrészt ismeretterjesztő filmet forgattunk a balatoni vízgyűjtőn előforduló vízi inváziós fajokról. Ebben tisztáztunk bizonyos invázióbiológiai alapfogalmakat, hét élőlénycsoporttal foglalkoztunk részletesebben (trópusi sügérfélék, trópusi vízinövények, amurgéb, parti öv inváziós gerinctelen élőlényei, parti öv inváziós halai, algák, madarak). A filmforgatáson túl az intézetben zajló invázióbiológiai kutatásokban bevontuk a civil társadalom képviselőit is. A balatoni horgászok tapasztalatait felhasználva internetes kérdőívezéssel, felmértük az egyik terjedőben lévő inváziós halfaj a fekete törpeharcsa balatoni elterjedési viszonyait. A balatoni törpeharcsa helyzetről több sajtóközlemény, hír és híradás született, emellett tudományos és ismeretterjesztő előadásokban mutattuk be eredményeinket. A kitöltött több mint 2500 kérdőiv adatainak elemzése jelenleg is folyik, de a felmérés egyes részeredményeit, pl. a fekete törpe harcsa balatoni elterjedés mintázatát és tömegességi viszonyait az elkészült ismeretterjesztő filmben is bemutatjuk. A kérdőívezéssel nemcsak több ezer horgászt tudtunk bevonni a közösségi kutatásba erősítve így a horgászok és a kutatók kapcsolatait, de szaklapokban is publikálható új tudományos eredményeket is létre hoztunk. A film reményeink szerint jelentősen hozzájárulhat főleg a fiatalabb nézők szemléletformálásához, és fontos információkkal gazdagítja majd a téma iránt érdeklődők tudását.

During the duration of the tender, in accordance with the commitments, we made an educational film about the aquatic invasive species in the Balaton river basin, and on the other hand, we also involved representatives of civil society in the invasive biology research taking place at the institute. Using the experience of the anglers, the distribution of the black bullhead in the lake is revealed.
Several press releases, news and news reports were made about the present distribution and mass gradation of the species, and we presented our results in scientific and educational presentations. The data of more than 2500 questionnaires are currently being analyzed, but some of the results of the survey, such as the distribution of the species and its relative abundances in the different bays of the lake, are also presented in our film.
With the questionnaire, we were able to involve thousands of anglers into the Citizen Science research, and strengthened the relationship between anglers and researchers. Moreoverwe as the result of this cooperation new scientific results borned that can be published in top rated journals. We hope that the film will make a significant contribution to the awareness-raising of younger viewers and will increase the knowledge of those interested in the subject with important information.
