Foglalkoztunk szén nanoszerkezetek kölcsönhatását leíró Hückel típusú modell Hamilton operátorral. Megoldottuk a modell hatékony numerikus számítását több ezer atomból álló klaszterekre, a perturbációs közelítés második rendjében. Nanocső párosok kölcsönhatási energia felületét vizsgálva megállapítottuk, hogy az energetikailag legstabilabb párok azonos felcsavarási indexű csövekből állíthatók össze, ellentétes kiralitású csöveket helyezve egymás mellé. Számításaink azt mutatják, hogy az ilyen csőpárosokban a ''fogaskerék'' forgatás (azaz a pár két tagjának ellentétes irányú forgatása) extrém kis energia befektetés mellett megvalósítható. A perturbációs metodikák témakörében megoldottuk a másodredű korrekció méretkonzisztenciájának problémáját a multikonfigurációs perturbációszámítás keretei között. Javasoltunk egy általános módszert a perturbációs partíció újradefiniálására amely javítja a kiindulási partíció konvergenciáját. Megmutattuk, hogy a másodrendű Moller-Plesset formula Grimme-féle skálázása a Feenberg-skálázás kétparaméteres általánosításának tekinthető. Ezenkívül vizsgáltuk a cluster amplitúdók momentumok módszerével való meghatározását a CCSD közelítés keretein belül. Végül javasoltunk egy uj, az idempotenciat megőrző iterációs formulát redukált egyrészecskés sűrűségmátrix előállítására.
kutatási eredmények (angolul)
We have investigated a Hückel-type Hamiltonian that describes the weak interaction of carbon nanostructures. An efficient algorithm has been developed to facilitate efficient solution of the model at second order in perturbation theory (PT). Currently we can compute the interaction energy of systems composed of several thousand carbon atoms in few minutes. The interaction energy of aligned nanotube pairs have been investigated. We have found that identical tube pairs built of opposite chirality tubes are the most stable energetically. The results indicate a distinguished, cogwheel-type rotation of such tube pairs, which requires an exteremely small energy input. The size inconsistency problem of the second order correction formula has been solved in the framework of the so-called multiconfiguration PT. We have suggested a general method for redefining the partitioning of a Hamiltonian in PT to enhance convergence of the PT series. It has been shown that the empirical scaling suggested by Grimme to improve the well-known second order Moller-Plesset formula, can be interpreted as a two-parameter generalization of Feenberg's scaling. We have investigated the non-trivial version of the method of moments to determine cluster amplitudes of the CCSD wavefunction. Finally a new, idempotency-conserving iteration formula has been suggested to obtain reduced one-particle density matrices.
